Hi Victoria! I'm new around here too! I just had to say I love Selena Blake for her ability to make you think you've read a full novel in the space of a novella, and you've laughed, cried and thought "wow I want that wolf or demon as my own!!" I've only read her Cajun Werewolves and Mystic Isles books, but I'm very much looking forward to Valencia's story from Mystic Isle, to see her first male vampire. Yay!!
Hello, My name is Heather and I have been a fan of paranormal romance for years. I am glad to be in the company of others like myself! My favorite authors are Sherrilyn Kenyon, Shelly Laurenston, Lora Leigh, Christine Feehan, Nalini Singh, Gena Showalter, and many more!
Hi Heather!Welcome to the WYA group - you have listed some of my favorite PNR authors as well :-)
Hopefully you can find some awesome new additions to your list.
Happy Reading!!
Hi my name is Andrea. I usually read personal development books but occasional my brain needs a break so I discovered UF and PNR novels through the free books from Barnes and Nobles on my Nook. After that I have found several authors that I had to read entire series, Patricia Briggs' Mercy Thompson series and Maddy Barone's After the Crash series are two of my favorites. I can't wait for the next books in these series. I look forward to finding other authors who write in these type books. Also, it's will be nice to talk to others who like PNR and UF novels.
Hi Andrea Welcome to the group. I like personal development books as well but it sure is nice to read about someone else battling their problems lol
I am quite sure you will discover quite a few new authors and have a very long TBR list in no time. If you are looking for a certain type of book and want recommendations feel free to ask we love to give recommendations!!
Hey my name real name is JenI'm really new to this whole Goodreads world. In fact I very rarely use my digital devices to do any of my reading. Call me old fashion, a hoarder or even materialistic, but I prefer to hold books and savor the feel of each page. The house is littered with them!
Anywho, my fascination with paranormal romance -both adult and YA. It all started with L.A. Banks. I mean I've read Vamp and Were Lit before, but Banks just blew the doors wide open. My PNR hunger then graduated to Mary Janice Davidson. Very quickly it snowballed to encompass Keri Arthur, Laurell K Hamilton, Kelley Armstrong, J.R. Ward, Caitlin R Tiernan, Richelle Mead and Marjorie M. Liu. Of late I've discovered Patricia Briggs and Leigh Evans.
What I'm now after is some male authors who write in the PNR or UF genre. Any recommendations?
Welcome Jen! All good authors, though I noticed you missed my fav Ilona AndrewsAs to male authors, a couple spring to mind, in no particular order Jim Butcher, Kevin Hearne, Simon R. Green, Ben Aaronovitch and Jes Battis
Enjoy finding a new author :)
Welcome Jen!!Sandra has an awesome list of male authors but I would add Richard Kadrey Thomas E. Sniegoski Mike Carey M.L.N. Hanover(David Abrahams) Justin Gustainis Larry Correia and J.F. Lewis
I've been eyeballing this group for a while, but for some reason I haven't joined! Long time UF/PNR fan and I'm looking forward to chatting with everyone!
Welcome Shera! Hoping we live up to expectations now. LOL. Please join any conversations or buddy reads that look interesting, we're always looking for more people to chat to.

I totally agree there is nothing better than holding a good book even the smell is irreplaceable! Glad you could join us!!!!
Jen and Heather, I was the same way, I loved having a book in my hands, unless it was for homework of course! But once I realized I could have THOUSANDS in less space than one used to take up, I was hooked!!! I switched to digital and have hardly looked back. I've probably only bought 20 hard copies in the last 10 years, not counting books for my little baby nephew. He's just over 6 months old and I don't let him play with my kindle yet ;-) though I do have plenty of books downloaded to read to him!!
Hi, I've been a good reads member for awhile but have never participated in the groups. Trying to be more outgoing this year, but the structure of the message boards is taking some getting used to. A great bonus to joining this group so far is finding new authors. Thanks guys!
Hi! I've been on GR for a while, but haven't really gotten involved in groups. I'm excited to have more people to discuss books with! I mostly read UF - Rachel Vincent, Kim Harrison, Patricia Briggs, Karen Chance, Shannon Meyer, Rachel Caine, Anne Bishop, etc., etc. I'd love to read more PR, though, and am excited to discover some new authors.
Welcome Rosa! Please feel free to join any of the discussions, challenges or buddy reads. The more the merrier.
Hi I'm Lanie:) I primarily only read UF and PNR so this group is right up my alley. At the moment I'm trying out lots of new authors both new and old, trying to find a new group to love. My go-to authors are Karen Chance and Kim Harrison.
Hi Lanie welcome to the group!I am sure you will find lots of new authors in this group.
By any chance have you read Kelley Armstrong or Ilona Andrews?
Thanks Dawn:)! I started on one of Andrews books, and enjoyed it. As far a Kelley Armstrong I've only read some of her YA stuff.
Lanie wrote: "Thanks Dawn:)! I started on one of Andrews books, and enjoyed it. As far a Kelley Armstrong I've only read some of her YA stuff."When you get a chance you should check out her Women of the Underworld series.
And anytime I love to make recommendations :-)
I'll definitely look for it at the library:) I heard a lot of mixed reviews about that series. Glad you liked it^^ I love recs, specially fae ones lol.

Women of the Otherworld is a long series so there are some awesome and some that are good. All in all though none of the are bad. If that makes sense.
I know it is, or there set in medieval times, which is kinda boring. It does, that's how a lot of the series are now. Is it like a continuing MC or different ones per book?
*waves hi to Lanie*Women of the Otherworld has a few MCs that sort of rotate around.
What about October Daye, have you read that series? First book
Hi everyone. I'm new - and also addicted to PNR/UF.I started with JR WARD many years ago, and devoured the likes of Merry Gentry (the earlier books), Anita Blake, Mercy Thompson. I also enjoy male POV UF, i.e. The Dresden Files (although I'm taking a break from that addiction for a while), Felix Castor.
I'm trying to get back into the BDB - I stopped midday through the series a few years ago. I'm struggling to love them as much as I used to...
Feel free to have a look at my shelves. If we share interests in books, send me an invite - just mention you're from this group :)
Looking forward to chatting with you all.
Welcome Pippa! Don't forget to browse the discussions & buddy reads, that's a great way to find new books to love.

Welcome PippaLet me know how the BDB series goes for you. I quit a while back as well and so far I have thought about picking it back up just to see but thinking is as far as I have gotten.

Hi Dawn. I really want to love this series again. The whole 'I'm a male therefore I must provide' vs 'I'm a female, I must receive' doesn't sit well with me. I'm obviously in the minority though :)
I will probably end up reading them all - because the overall plots are extremely entertaining. I'd like to see a female in the 'brotherhood' though ;)
