Club Dead and so far I'm not sure I'm gonna like it, already in the first 6 pages Sookie and Bill are kinda fighting and I can see it only getting worse as the book progresses, so there better be some good Alceide imagery in this book lol

. To say that I am disappointed would be an understatement."Totally agree Sashana!
I finished living dead in dallas yesterday and now am on to club dead, so far I'm liking it and I finally figured out who bubba was without the book having to tell me who it is, so I'm proud of myself for that
Just finished
. Wasn't too thrilled with it until the last part, but holy ending!
is moving along nicely. Praying there's not another stupid YA love triangle because I'm really liking it without it.
Laura wrote: "Oh man! I am worried then about whether or not I am going to like it when we do our buddy read."If you do read it I hope you enjoy it more than I did.
Stefani wrote: "Just finished

Have you read:
Free Four: Tobias Tells the Story

Actually I thought that too, and then I went...wait, is that Four? Oh yeah that's Four! Too much teenage angst in this one for me, I kept thinking ok I don't care about your little lover's spat what the hell is going on with ya know the rest of the world lol.

I didn't even know he had his own story. Thanks for sharing, Kellyflower. I'll check it out.

"I wonder why Veronica Roth chose to use his real name in this one. I did hear a lot about angst and recklessness on Tris's part through the grapevine.

Just finished
. It was alright, nothing great but a quick read.
Stefani wrote: "I firmly believe Tris was kidnapped replaced with Bella Swan for this book lol...."
She certainly has the teen angst part down. She also has that "I just want to curl up and die" spirit that Bella had in New Moon.
I've finished reading The Girl Who Chased the Moon by Sarah Addison Allen this morning and now I'm about to start I Capture the Castle by Dodie Smith.
I'm reading Deadlocked by Charlaine Harris and so far I'm really enjoying it. Lots of thing to unfold yet, I hope not to be disappointed
Will be finishing up
Just started
and am still reading
(this one is gonna take forever)Starting Tomorrow:
Sashana wrote: "What did you think of Obsidian, Sammie? I have been eyeing it for months now."OMG I loved it I Cannot wait for Onyx to come out.... I love Daemon and I love Dee, andI love the fire between Daemon and Katy I love the way he calls her "kitten" I just love this book... I started with reading Shadows and I'm so glad I did too.
I finished

which is YA take on the whole Cupid and Psyche story. Also reading
in between.

I didn't think it was possible for me to dislike a book written by Richelle Mead. Honestly, I've read most of her books and have never rated any of them under 4 stars. So I'm in unfamiliar territory here; I'm kind of numb, really. Sydney just didn't have that spark that the rest of Mead's leading girls are known for. Not even Adrian's witty lines couldn't save this one for me. With the exception of Adrian all of the characters were drab -- even more so than Sydney's closet, and that's saying something! To make matters worse, I could predict almost every plot twist from a mile away.
ok I've read
the reviews are all on my blog http://bookloverscozycafe.blogspot.com/ also on here as well. And I am now reading
I've finished reading I Capture the Castle by Dodie Smith and I've started The Last Girl by Jane Casey this morning.
I am working on
I'm enjoying it but the frequency of the POV changes is a bit annoying, just when I start to care about one, we switch.
I'm reading Mrs. Dalloway by Virginia Woolf. Not an easy read, it's really trying to read into Woolf's own mind. But there are characters like Septimus, a man spiralling into madness and Sally, a woman considered too bold for 1920s England, that I'm really warming up to.
I finished the 3rd book in the Maeve Kerrigan series The Last Girl by Jane Casey last night - I really enjoyed this novel and I can't wait till the next one! Jane Casey is becoming one of my favourite crime authors. This morning, I began reading One Breath Away by Heather Gudenkauf.
I finished
I liked it but it was a light, fluffy, cheesy, not very well written, paranormal romance. By no means did I find it a "how to guide" to anything LOL. I am still wondering what significance the title has to the book. It had repetitive aspects to it like the term "God's Blood" which drove me crazy when it appeared in every few sentences. Most all of the characters were likable except Shanna, she was a bit whiney, crying all the time, and was a "God's Blood" dentist who had a blood phobia. Overall the plot had it's highs and lows, was full of highlanders and it had a few humorous moments. Giving it 3 stars mainly because I liked several of the characters.

It's all right, very quick quirky cute book.If real life didn't stop me I could probably read it all in a sitting.
I'm not that far into it but based on what I've read not all will enjoy it, I hate saying that about something, but it definitely has it's audience. Main character is is a teenage zombie girl, so if you life a zombie's and young adult books then you should check it out, it's free btw. So are a few of his other novels on smashwords.
I started
. It is a sheer morbid curiosity read. I have heard its bad, I have seen the drama surrounding the author...I am morbidly curios. So far I have learned that apparently rape is ok as long as its the prince who does it because...you don't tell him no. Yes I'm serious, this is gonna be painful lol
Finished
which was really good, I enjoyed it just as much as the first book in the series. Now I'm reading
which is very addicting right now, I don't want to put the book down, love the writing and definitely have my eyes set on Solo! He definitely is finding a way into my heart :)

Normally I will avoid books is the author has a history of abusing reviewers because I don't want to take the chance...if I write a legitimate bad review could I be the next one, that kind of thing. I hope it gets better, but so far its just rubbing me the wrong way.

I really dislike when reviewers write bad reviews based on personal feelings. It seems like so many authors and reviewers have bad blood between them -- especially in the YA community. But I'll definitely keep an eye for your review of this one, Stefani. I don't think it was bad, but not great either. It's a 2.5 for me but I rounded it up.

"I have noticed that its mostly the YA world, but it always seems to be sparked by the author (from what I've seen at least). I admit to having a "won't read because of author" shelf, but I don't give it star ratings or anything...just a list of things I have no interest in. I don't think I could bother writing a bad review just because I disliked the author, too much bother for something so minor lol.

I think some reviewers are to blame too. It takes two to tango. It's taboo for an author to complain about a review but it's completely okay for reviewers to get nasty (beyond the the plot of the book) and give nonconstructive criticism without stating why. If a reviewer goes on and on about how terrible the book was without giving me details then I have a problem with that as a reader. I notice that when reviewers and authors fight they drag it out for months and everyone plays the victim. I just hate it! I'm sorry for going venting, Stefani, I was reading about the latest reviewer/author show down yesterday (this one included death threats!) and it just made me upset.
Lol no problem, I totally get the venting. I guess I just see the other side of it more often. But...death threats, I must have missed that one! I was caught up watching one on Amazon that has now involved the police and publicists, so equally exciting. *whispers* who was it lol.
We might be talking about the same thing because the one with the death threats started on Amazon. Is this it?
Sashana wrote: "We might be talking about the same thing because the one with the death threats started on Amazon. Is this it?"That is the one! So sad that even the big name published authors are jumping on board the crazy train.
I finished reading
by Heather Gudenkauf yesterday - It's a brilliant novel. I couldn't put it down! I honestly couldn't recommend it highly enough. Now I'm about to start the 9th book in the Stephanie Plum series
by Janet Evanovich.
I just finished
this morning at close to 4am and I absolutely LOVED it ... It's a really REALLY good contemporary romance .... Now I'm trying to figure out what to read now....
I'm reading
and there are no words...I was soooooo hesitant to read it because I had such high expectations and I didn't want them to be crushed as I frequently am by over hyped books. This wasn't over hyped at all. It's beautiful, and funny, and I cried and laughed and cried again. I need to own my own copy of this to revel in its genius. So honored to have read it. I'm in love with this book and the author. Fangirling as we speak!!
