Really?! I've had my nook for over a year, always got the current updates and never once lost a single file... And the bulk of my books are in MyDocuments. Same applies to my other 3 nook owning friends. You may want to get yours serviced or replaced. If it's wiping out like that, it shouldn't be and perhaps you have a defective unit. Just a thought. That being said, it is ALWAYS a good idea to keep an updated backup of your MyDocuments on your computer anyway because, well, things happen. However, my nook has been problem free; too bad you're having such rotten luck with it.

This sounds like an awesome challenge! I'm all for it! I'll have to really think about my book list though... I'll look into some of the titles other people posted. I'm especially excited about #5 & #9 - I just recently decided that I want to read books that fall into those categories. And luckily, some of the series I am currently in the middle of will fall into some of the other categories. Eeeep! I can't wait!

Hmmmm... Trying to figure out how to make zombies fit into this challenge. They were human and now have this undead-ness "power". So that's sort of a shifter, sort of an immortal, and sort of a human with powers... What do you think? Too much of a stretch? Yeah, I think I'm pushing my luck here. I guess I'll have to save Amanda Hocking's Hollowland for later. Drats.

I've been MIA recently but the renovations are finally complete and things are gradually getting back to normal around here. Thanks for your patience! I will be finalising all updates to December 2010 this week, and updating the leaderboards also ... hopefully ... this week.
