Challenge: Clean Sweep 2011Duration: 1/1/11 – 12/31/11
Last year I read 159 books but still managed to fall just shy of my "create your own challenge" mark by finishing only 36/40 from my owned-and-unread shelf. This was due entirely to my torrid affair with the public library.
To combat this fact I’m going to try a different approach and set forth two separate challenges for myself that when worked together, will effectively eliminate the number of books collecting dust in my basement, decrease the number of books collecting virtual dust on my to-read shelf AND permit me to carry-on with my main squeeze, the library.
A – Read the 12 oldest books from my owned-and-unread shelf (sort: owned-and-unread by date added)

Start on that series that everybody is praising so much but you keep postponing it for later.
Just read it already. Go on!
6) The Book Strangler (1+ books):
Read a whole series from the beginning to the end (or to the last published book). You choose whether it's going to be a 15-book-long-monster or a 1-book-long-freshly-started-baby series...
7) 3rd Degree (3 books):
Read a trilogy. An old fashioned trilogy that wraps up at book 3.
BONUS: Bloody Mary (1 book):
A series with a strong female kick-ass protagonist, something like: police detective, body builder, warrion. So for example LKH Anita Blake would work.
