Ok so after taking a look at my TBR pile I will be able to take part in this challenge but I will only be doing from 2006 to 2011. I'll post my list once 2011 gets a little closer :0)

Actually, what exactly is our definition of PNR/UF? I know some groups will allow books with any paranormal elements (telepathy, magic, etc in fantasy can actually squeeze into that definition...). I've got enough on my TBR that is unequivocally in PNR/UF that I'm not really worried, just curious!
SciFi and Fantasy are definitely okay to use throughout with PNR/UF. Other genres are ok 1/year. Re: updates. Yeah, I think revising your original list would work best for this one. I'll be adding links to everyone's list in post #2 once we get goin'. :)
Would Percy Jackson be paranormal enough? I read the first book and want to continue the series but need a challenge to give me an excuse to read through them all :)
Sure. I'd consider those fantasy, so go for it.

Welcome to the challenge, everyone! :DFeel free to tackle as many or as little as you are comfortable. But, Sabrina Fair's right. As I come across NEW2ME series, I find that many were written in the early 2000's, which is great for this challenge.
Yeah! As I was going through my TBR, I kept coming across fantasy series that I heard great things about this year, but couldn't start since they didn't work with my challenges--yes, I have issues. Don't judge me. ;)But now, making brand spanking new 2011 challenges, there are a bunch of fantasy series I want to read. Yeah again! :)

Sounds good, Inga, welcome to the challenge. Feel free to stick with those years or add more as the year goes on. It's up to you. Just remember: any years you decide to read, you must read the total # of books for each (ie: 8 books for 2008, 7 for 2007, & so on)
I'm hoping to be able to complete all by 2011, but started with just a couple years as well. :)

As we move into 2011 and all the books to come, let's also take a look back. This is a great way to help knock off some of those 2001-10 TBRs!
Duration: 1/1/11 - 12/31/11
Rules: Read 10-66 books. For each year 2001-2011, read the number of books published in each year that corresponds to the last digit(s) of each year. Read 11 books from 2011, 10 books from 2010, 9 books from 2009, and so on.
**Participants can choose which year(s) they would like to read. But, you must read the full # of books for the year(s) you pick. So, if you choose to read only books published in 2010, you must read 10 books, and so on.
You may list your books as you read or right away, it's up to you. All formats allowed. One non-PNR/UF book allowed per year. Let's all read something new to us, but if you would like to re-read an old fave, you may include re-reads that were read at least 1 yr ago. Anthologies are allowed, you might find a new author you'll enjoy in 2011.
