I wanted to fracking rip Marcie's face off! She reminds me of Moni..."
Hilarious, I wanted to do the same thing to Marcie and Monica!!!!

I liked it...will probably read more in the series or by the author. My problem was that I had a difficult time with the main character. I really didn't like her. She spent too much time lying. I'm a fan of a hero who has integrity. I kept worrying about how her lies could hurt the people in her life.
(SPOILER) Granted, most of the people she lied to turned out to be creaps...Elliot, Jules, Mrs. Greene....Maybe if I believed that she was lying to save herself but I never felt she had reason to BELIEVE she was in that kind of danger up until the last few chapters of the book.(END SPOILER)
Additionally, it disturbed me that everyone in the book adopted a nasty attitude towards each other. That's one town with a nasty attitutde. Even Nora and Vee didn't seem to really be best friends/opposite twins.
Then again, all of this didn't disturbe me enough to scare me away from book 2 :)

y is that? what happened that I missed?

I know what you mean, I didn't care all that much for the first one and wasn't going to read the second. But then we did it as BOM, so the peer pressure is there again. Good thing my library has it, but if it isn't good, I will give it up.

***Spoilers***
I was so stinking nervous to read Crescendo! The fallen angel plot is so similar to Fallen and I fraking *hated* Torment. So. Disappointed. But, I really did enjoy Crescendo. Of course, I read it on Saturday and all ready its blending into a bunch of other things that I read over the weekend and I'm having trouble remembering *exactly* what happened in the books, but I remember calling it from early on that Rixon was shady. Yes. Shady. And I knew, *I knew* from the second that Patch started hanging out with Marcie that he was her guardian angel. Oh Nora. You're not very bright, are you?
Tya, if she were smart there would have been no drama. =) That's my problem, a lot of times stupid stuff happens just so drama can be created. I think that's one of the reasons I like Kate Daniels, she doesn't turn stupid because boys are involved.

I had reservations with this book before I even picked it up. I thought the first one was so so, even planned on skipping this one,but one of my groups picked it as the BOM, so I felt peer pressured into reading it.
I took the book to work to read during lunch, thought this would make me give it longer that way, as it was my only entertainment for an hour. After 15 minutes the whole teen angst drove me nuts, but I kept reading. By the time I read for 40 minutes I was bored. Ultimately I ended my lunch 10 minutes early as the book was just driving my nuts. I made it 120 pages in, about a quarter of the book, so I feel pretty confidant that it wouldn't have gotten better for me.
This book and this series just isn't for me.

My Borders store loves me. They like to joke that I'm the "Goldens, Golden Member."

Another draw back to buying a book. Is if you don't like it, it feels more like a huge betrayel because you trusted it and paid for it. Sometimes I can almost see the book giving me the bird . . .

And I'm with ya on the real world sucking sometimes :)

That is on my x-mas list. lol

Have you used the before?
I have heard about it, but haven't gotten anything from there.

Stacia, I have never heard of that site. OMG, I have to check it out, like yesterday!

Although, the temptation of getting a Nook color has been slowly creeping up on me. Since I already own a dedicated ereader that's not backlit, it would be fun to have one that I can read magazines on and use as more of a web browsing device. I'm pretty sure that my Nook library would carry over between both devices, but not positive.

Why do you want a Kindle Stacia? Do they only offer kindle ARCs or Galleys?

I got my nook when the kindle 3 was announced, but not yet released. I thought about getting one, mostly because it was lighter. But ultimately I wanted epub and library access and I didn't like the directional pad or buttons on the Kindle 2, sony, or Kobo so I got the nook.
I would love a NC, but I don't need one so I doubt I will get one (unless it is way down the road). I would soooooooooo love to do some rooting though with it and play with the android apps.

Great read! 5 stars!

I think this was as good or better than Hush, Hush. I loved Patch in this one. Scott was ok too. Poor Nora had some hard stuff to go through, but she held strong. I really admired her.
