Jasmine (jadorejas94) | 950 comments Spoiler Alert for page 188 and before.

I have no idea how to describe my feelings about this book so far. I want Patch and Nora to be together in the end, but I'm absolutely loving all of the drama about their break up. =X In the end they have to be together. They just have to. But for now, I'm loving the fact that they are so clearly in love and yet can't/Nora won't allow them to be together. You gotta love forbidden love<3
Oh! And I love the fact that Patch can enter Nora's dreams! I can't wait to read more. :)

message 53: by Angela (new)

Hush, hush will count for this. You just have to comment about it.

message 55: by Angela (new)

Angela B oh ok :)

message 56: by Lani (new)

Lani (crahfty) I now own both Hush, Hush and Crescendo. I plan on re-reading HH before I delve into Crescendo. I just don't know when...

message 57: by Joeera (new)

Joeera | 126 comments I jsut finished reading cresando and it was amazing it was even better than the hush Hush

message 58: by Lani (new)

Lani (crahfty) Good to hear Joeera!

message 59: by Jasmine (new)

Jasmine (jadorejas94) | 950 comments I'm reading Hush Hush for the monthly read. :)

OMG. Crescendo was so mind blowingly awesome! AHHH. This series is right up there with The Mortal Instruments in my mind.

I can't believe I have Crescendo, but haven't read it yet! After book 1 I never thought I'd stall with this series.

message 61: by Carrie (Care) (new)

Carrie (Care) (care76) | 1746 comments My gf wants to read this together so I don't know when I will get to it. I would re-read HH but I lent it to my niece and I won't see her again until Thanksgiving.

message 62: by Mira (new)

Mira | 5 comments I loved crescendo. Hush Hush was my favorite books!

I just got bombarded with books from the library and haven't gotten to it.

I'm still debating on rereading. I'll probably read Crescendo and go "I should have reread Hush, Hush," and then go back and actually do it.

message 65: by Jasmine (new)

Jasmine (jadorejas94) | 950 comments IMO you don't need to reread Hush Hush. I read Crescendo without rereading and didn't have a problem.

message 66: by Rachelle879 (new)

Rachelle879 | 24 comments I finished Hush, Hush (Hush, Hush, #1) by Becca Fitzpatrick and I enjoyed it though I feel there are too many questions that the sequel would hopefully address.

message 67: by Michelle (new)

Michelle Abreu (shellbell2531) | 1 comments I loved both books, but Crescendo really blew me away, it is so awesome... it's one of my new favorite books...and Patch is like one of the best characters ever created, i can't get over how intriguing he is, and that bad boy charm that every girl loves....i would recommend this book to every girl i know, they are so addicting, you will not want to stop reading them, especially Crescendo....

message 68: by Carrie (Care) (new)

Carrie (Care) (care76) | 1746 comments I can't wait to read it! I don't think my friend and I can get together to read it so I might start it next week.

message 69: by Jasmine (new)

Jasmine (jadorejas94) | 950 comments I don't know how you restrained from reading Crescendo for so long Carrie! I probably would've given in and read it a while ago. =X

message 70: by Lisa S (new)

Lisa S (kasey_k_fan) I just wish I could get this book. :(

message 71: by Jasmine (new)

Jasmine (jadorejas94) | 950 comments Why can't you? =/

message 72: by Angela (new)

Angela B I really liked Hush, Hush and was planning on reading Cresendo for a challenge this month but I don't think I will get to it but I am dying to know the next step in Patch and Nora's adventure

message 73: by Lisa S (last edited Nov 09, 2010 04:00PM) (new)

Lisa S (kasey_k_fan) Jasmine said "Why can't you? =/

My library doesn't have it and I can't afford to buy it right now.

message 74: by Darcy (new)

Darcy (sunnytat462) | 2770 comments Sadly I am still far down on the list for this one.

message 75: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (wowxzerrs) | 1 comments I loved Hush Hush, I thought it was an amazing book. I'm about to start Crescendo and hope its just as good. If anyone knows books similar to this I would love to hear about them!

message 76: by Lisa S (new)

Lisa S (kasey_k_fan) My library is finally gettting Crescendo. I just put it on hold and am in the 10th place.

message 77: by Hillary (new)

Hillary (eledri) | 61 comments I read Hush Hush back in March, and liked it well enough. I read it right after I had read Fallen. They are similar yet so far apart. I enjoyed them both. Crescendo...well I am currently reading that and I must say I feel like I am on a roller coaster with it. I have yet to determine if it is a good ride or not.

message 78: by Lynnea (new)

Lynnea (lalasbooks) I just re-read Hush, Hush (Hush, Hush, #1) by Becca Fitzpatrick and read Crescendo (Hush, Hush, #2) by Becca Fitzpatrick for the first time. I love this series!! I can't wait for next fall when the third book is released.

I felt like Crescendo had some improvements because there wasn't as much filler plot, and Vee wasn't quite as slap-worthy.

message 80: by Hillary (new)

Hillary (eledri) | 61 comments I do like Vee better this time around. (I greatly identify with her hatred of conjugating verbs...I am taking spanish this semester and want to claw my eyes out with its annoyance!) However I am finding Nora more punch worthy. She doesn't serve a slap, she deserves a punch to the face repeatedly. I mean how much more emo can she get!?

Shera (Book Whispers) (sherabookwhispers) | 2445 comments glad to hear the filler plot takes a hike. I think if Hush, Hush would have spread out some of it's good ending plot the book would have been better.

message 82: by Hillary (new)

Hillary (eledri) | 61 comments Okay I have finished Crescendo, and I liked it better than Hush Hush. I was pleased with a lot of my theories, and I was left wanting more, so I am happy with it. I cannot wait for the next book...I believe there is a need for some serious explaining and wonder where everything is going to lead. I <3 Patch!

message 83: by Jess (new)

Jess | 120 comments I cannot wait to read Crescendo. Guess the library had some slow readers!

message 84: by Carrie (Care) (new)

Carrie (Care) (care76) | 1746 comments So I am over halfway through Crescendo now. I am liking it, but I am not sure if it is more than Hush, Hush or not (I loved HH).

I wanted to fracking rip Marcie's face off! She reminds me of Monica from Morganville.

message 85: by Carrie (Care) (new)

Carrie (Care) (care76) | 1746 comments So I finished.

***SPOILERS***

Ok, so I am kind of disappointed that I knew everything that was going to happen. I knew that Rixon was the one to kill Nora's dad. I knew (or had suspicions) that Marcie's dad was her dad. I knew he was the Black Hand.... It got very annoying.

Hillary (eledri) | 61 comments ***SPOILERS***

I pieced it all together too, but I still found it enjoyable. I just wonder what the deal is with Marcie vs. Nora in their "dad's" eyes.

Now I just get to impatiently wait another year. YES! haha

message 87: by Carrie (Care) (new)

Carrie (Care) (care76) | 1746 comments Hillary, You need to put SPOILER warnings up when talking about either book since people that haven't read them come in here. Especially for Crescendo since this thread is for both.

message 88: by Hillary (new)

Hillary (eledri) | 61 comments Fixed. Was multitasking poorly while making that post. :-/

message 89: by Carrie (Care) (new)

Carrie (Care) (care76) | 1746 comments We have all done it at some point. Thanks for fixing it so fast. :)

message 90: by Amber (new)

Amber (AmberPatchAttackslol) i love hush hush it is definetly one of the best books i have ever read

message 91: by Heather (new)

Heather T (horrorvacui000) | 5931 comments Mod
I finally read it. I enjoyed it, but liked book 1 a bit more since there was more flirting. Does anyone know if the book takes place in Maine or Oregan? I thought they said Maine, but Portland keeps coming up in the book and I makes me think I'm wrong.

message 92: by Carrie (Care) (new)

Carrie (Care) (care76) | 1746 comments I am pretty sure it is Maine. Maybe there is a Portland in Maine too. Like I lived in Boston, NY. When you say Boston, everybody thinks Massachusetts.

message 93: by Suzanne (new)

Suzanne I read both Hush, Hush and Crescendo as well and agree with some of these points. I liked the mystery a little better in the 2nd book because I was able to tell the bad guys pretty early in Hush, hush but i liked the relationship with Patch and Nora better in the 1st book.

message 94: by Jess (new)

Jess | 120 comments Just started Crescendo last night. So far I like it.

message 95: by Jess (last edited Nov 25, 2010 06:48PM) (new)

Jess | 120 comments Ok, you all stink. I didn't piece it together... well kind of when they were underground.

Ah, I thought it was really good.

I wondered, but I was positive when he gave her an address. He would have known better.

message 97: by Jasmine (new)

Jasmine (jadorejas94) | 950 comments That made me think he was up to something too Heather. For most part I was in the dark though.

message 98: by Lani (new)

Lani (crahfty) ******SPOILER ALERT*********

Heather wrote: "***Spoiler ***

That's when I pieced it together too. He was way to practiced to just spill details when Nora obviously didn't know what she was talking about.

message 99: by Jami (new)

Jami (gurugoodwin) | 53 comments I loved this book! The suspense was killing me, so I stayed up late and read it. Love Patch, he's so great. Now I'm reading the second book and hating Patch, and not liking the book so much either. I'm going to try and get it done by the end of the day.

message 100: by Jami (new)

Jami (gurugoodwin) | 53 comments Well, I didn't like Crescendo in the beginning, but the end was a shocker!!! Loved it and wanting more. How can you not love Patch now???
