It's been a busy day and although I've checked GR, I haven't had time to comment, so happy birthday for yesterday, Marianne! Sounds like you had a special day!
And good luck in your job search, Laura. Hope something suitable comes your way soon!

I actually slept in yesterday till 5.51am! Ruined my whole day as I felt I was constantly in catch up mode!

I'm trying to keep busy like more walking n believe it or not i managed to get sunburnt on the beach...felt strange from having winter snow last week to getting sunburnt this week! Heh! ^^;;

LOL - hope it dries up and returns home soon :)

Hope it knows it's way home Bette!

So nice you got to meet Vicki, I've loved all her books and she seems such a clever IT lady too lol. It's nice to meet fellow AR's isn't it?

From the group 'What's The Name of That Book?' I'm curious as the memories I have of the book are very slim, but you never know I guess!

Great recruiting Suzanne.
I must admit that I think I give people an odd look when they tell me they don't read....

Good on you,Suzanne.

Awesome job!! :) It's great when you can convince a friend to read books :D
Omg....going to have hot temp here tomorrow...urrgh
What an awesome story!

Yes, I've used that group and received a correct answer within two days. It rescued me from many nights spent wondering 'what is that book????'

I saw that one at the cinema. It was pretty good. Very gory in parts. I still have a very vivid mental impression of a body (dead of course) being mashed into the mud under the tank tracks.

Now, that's not something you see very day. Exciting!

It was wonderful to finally meet you, Sharon, and put a face to a name. Proof that I hadn't inadvertently wandered into the midst of a group of speed reading robots calling themselves Aussie Readers. :)
The funniest bit for me was Gypsy's reaction to seeing cattle for the first time. I thought she was going to combust with excitement. How she missed seeing the hare, I'll never know.

Looking forward to seeing you in March, Brenda. Make sure you come with a good appetite -- as Sharon can testify, Alan usually cooks enough for a small army. :)

Wow! Too cool!

LOL Now, how am I supposed to get that image out of my head? :)

Oh wow... I love stories like this.

Duh! I didn't even see that. I'm so observant. :)

That's what it says in her title. :D"
Yes, I'd read that somewhere..

Congrats Marianne. Having recently purchased a new car I know the feeling. Joyful but scary at the same time. I've had mine for 5 months and still don't know what half the buttons and bits do!!! And I still park it a mile away when I'm at work so it doesn't get damaged. Enjoy!!! :)

Well done! I've been wondering how you were going with it:) It's very exciting isn't it!!

Congrats Marianne. I just love the reversing camera bit on ours.

I so agree. We've been tiptoeing around the process of buying a new car.
Our little Suzuki swift is 12 years old and though she has served us well she is starting to make potentially expensive noises :)
Yesterday we were at a car yard and this little muppet came out and started to try and sell us the car we were looking at. I am sure he was still wearing nappies there was no way he was old enough to be working!!
Hubby implied that maybe I was getting older - Pfffff was my answer - LOL!
