Well, that seems to have worked ok...thus far??? I wonder if they could put something like that into a capsule form for people? I reckon I could enjoy the benefits ;)

Thanks Leonie.
The outside temperature here seems to have subsided somewhat and is currently sitting at 37.6C.

Kathryn | 3569 comments Which update was it, Julie? I see that update 8.1.1 is available on mine and while I haven't had "issues" since the last update - it changed some things to ways I don't really like, so I'm hesitant to update again...

Yes that's the one Kathryn, 8.1.1, I have had so much trouble with it slowing down and screen freezing...a real B***h when writing comments or reviews as they disappeared after re starting!...and like you lots of lttle things I didn't like.
So it all looks ok for the moment, after downloading the 8.1.1, though I won't really know until I use it a bit. Fingers are still Xd ;)

Our outside (in the patio) temp at the moment is 42.5! I just got the last of the washing off the line and the heat is blistering - it's very quiet outside, no-one out and about, none of the usual lawn mowers, whipper snippers even dogs barking! It's too hot for anything!

message 15659: by Vicki (new)

Vicki Tyley (vickityley) | 1732 comments Yikes! Blistering is right, Brenda. It's only 32C here (for now) -- quite pleasant.

Stay cool and enjoy your Sunday arvo, everyone.

We didn't get quite so hot here closer to Sydney, about 36C and it's cooling down rapidly with a bit of breeze around. My son went to the beach and said it was foggy and felt really weird.

We're in the midst of a violent thunderstorm at the moment - the rain has just started. Lost the air con for a bit, but flicked the switch outside and it came back on...

A piece of fence is resting across our back fence/neighbour's fence and our roof! It's not from our fence so we're not sure where it came from. Water in the garage, patio roof is leaking! Tree in our back yard near the garden shed has a limb broken off - it's not big fortunately....

while I was shopping in W'gong, the rain came down and the steam went up, but by the time I got to Thirroul, roads still dry. Just now we're having the gods moving furniture, it's much cooler (24C) and I'm glad I hung Mum's washing in the garage, roads quite wet.

I'm one of those people too - just to family though, most of my close friends know what's happening anyway. Next Sunday is the big Christmas card writing day - sending them all on December 1st which is the traditional start to my Christmas.

Having said that, I put my tree up today as Little Lily gets back next Sunday - so I wanted to enjoy my tree before she sees it :)

Oh no Brenda! I nearly thought I'd need to recommend a fencer we know in your area but glad it's not needed. (It's my hubbies trade). We experienced 40+ degrees and my mum said 46.6 at Barrington!!
