It is Margaret and it's well loved by anyone who's been a student there and always features as a backdrop for summer graduations. There's been a lot of concern ..."
That's a wonderful idea :)

I have lots to catch up on in AR. Great to be back although my brain is still not 100% my own today.

Fantastic, Bette! Had wondered where you were early in the morning :)
Hope the next ten months are much better for you, and that your brain decides that it resides inside your own skull... ;)

Good to see you back Bette. It does sound radical. It's so good you found something that works for your pain.

Hope you feel more normal soon, Bette and enjoy the next months of being pain-free!

Sounds like a good time to settle down with some good books Bette...hope it all works out for the best.

Great to have you back Bette:) Hope you're feeling on top of the world again soon...take care.. **hugs**

Good to see you're back Bette, glad you got some treatment that works. Hope you continue to do well :)

Hope you feel bright-eyed and bushy tailed now. If you were on a 10 day 'trip' were you able to read?

It's lovely to have you back, Bette. Hope you're feeling better soon :)

I'm confused Michael...which bit is reality, the before or after??

@Michael - I've never thought much of Barbie in general except she had comics out and I used to read those as a child..LOL
I never understood why people get so "hot headed" over Barbie...It's a well known fact she's not real and I think it's up to parents to tell their children the true facts IF they question it.
Besides children may say they want to grow up like Barbie but children can also say they want to grow up like some famous Disney character, etc.
Having a doll that looks like Lammily probably isn't going to sell well.
And if they really wanted to make it "REAL" they wouldn't make it so obvious they are tacked on with stickers which I think is worse..lol

I'm around little children all the time and I don't think they see anything in barbie apart from the fact it's a toy and they can dress it and comb it's hair.

I dont mind it, though the stretchmarks are a bit far there tbh. Interesting they haven't done one for Ken as well though.

I'm not sure any little girl does - and barbie is heaps better than the stupid Bratz dolls who have oversized heads.
As for this doll, having cuts and stitches and cellulite - well let's just say I will not be buying my granddaughter to have one.

As friend to a 25yr old woman who was beaten, had bones broken, burned and psychologically battered by her husband, I've seen first hand what damage can happen to women in the home and relationships. A beautiful and strong girl now a shadow of her former self remains.
If you see or sense such violence, speak up.

Welcome back, Bette. I hope it was a good "trip."

Have a great day and Stay Cool :)

Morning early birds!
I too have seen first hand (in my physio job) what the results of violence against women looks like. Thanks for reminding us that it's never acceptable Bette.
41c estimated for here today, it was 38c yesterday:( Not looking forward to today....
Have fun and stay cool:)

Have just finished giving my garden and potplants a good deep drink and filled up all the birdbaths and water dishes in readiness. Now I will get ready to shut myself in with the aircon when it gets too hot.
**Please fill up any dishes or water containers for the birds and other creatures to bathe and drink from in this weather...it gets too hot for them to fly around looking for a water supply. Many of them have babies to mind right now as well. :) even if its on your balcony, every drop helps and they will find it.
Our garden is getting the same treatment Julie - great idea to do it early isn't it. There'll be a lot of gasping creatures today:( It's horrendous weather, and I fear for the fires that may occur...

Yes we do get pretty cold some days in Winter, but I think I can deal with that better than high 30s & 40s and its only November!!!!!!!

I said to hubby after we returned from holidays - "can we go to Tasmania for the summer?" LOL

22 sounds good to me, Zoey. Supposed to be 37 here. Air con day here definitely.

Couldn't agree more Sally and Margaret! Some things are just taken all out of proportion.
It's currently 40 outside on our back patio:( But inside it's much cooler - the air con has been on for some hours now:)

And I'm inside in the aircon baking my second Christmas cake....only because the first one looks and smells so good I have serious concerns regarding its chances of surviving until Christmas! :P
You're brave Jools!!! The heat in your kitchen would rival the outside...
Believe it or not, we just had a heavy rain shower! Still 38c, still blue sky...where did it come from??

Got the aircon on Brenda so all good...gee the plants won't like that rain while its still so hot, it will burn their leaves poor things..crazy!

Our pet birds aren't liking the heat. We have a spray bottle and a portable fan in the room where they are to keep them cool. Apparently still 31 degrees, bleh.

Know that feeling Phrynne.Glad you got it all sorted and backed up. I've heard bad reports about Dell too but have never had one.
