Today was an awesome day for me! I got both a job and accepted into Uni all in one afternoon!!

Checked out the web for the Today Tonight program, it's just a short clip, but you can see me in line waiting to get my book signed at 4.03 minutes, light blue jumper, black slacks http://au.news.yahoo.com/video/nation...
My 2 seconds of fame!!! Two more people at work mentioned they saw me..........

Good day indeed.

You're a star! :)

No, but that's a great idea, Bette!! And I love that book. Enid Blyton used to be the only author I would read as a little girl - she was a good start to my reading, but I'm glad I've diversified now!

And congratulations, Melanie! What is the job and what are you studying? Good luck with both!

Now here's a silly question Melanie....a swimming pool or a pool table (bar)...I'm guessing the latter as it's a 5 star hotel, but I'm not sure! Either way, well done, and your course at uni sounds very serious;)
haha as in a swimming pool bar, so basically Ill be making lots and lots of cocktails
Oh wow! That sounds amazing! Well done, that will be fun, though probably pretty hard work too:)

I have seen it before and can remember where now; silly me:) Appreciate anyone's help here - ta!
Bette, we don't have a thread like that and I've just searched the Goodreads groups database and can't find anything. I varied my wording in the "search" column but nothing came up.
The only thing I can suggest is you join another group which has authors you like...you can do that in the search box, and there will be comparison authors there. For example, I belong to another crime group which gives me different authors similar to the ones I enjoy.
Of course our varying threads will give you other authors too, which are similar...it depends on your genre choice...good luck:)

We have had the most wonderful lunch and afternoon! Met up with one of my Aussie Readers online friends for lunch, then did all the tourist things, taking them around the beaches, finishing up with coffee on the edge of Lake Macquarie. The weather has been perfect, the restaurant overlooked the ocean with a window table. It was a perfect day:)
View from our table:
and further around the beach the kite fliers were out and about:
How beautiful was the weather!!

It certainly was a beautiful day Brenda. Looks like you had a great day. Wonderful pictures.
I also spent a lot of the day outside in the beautiful weather. I was doing some gardening which I enjoy and I also cleaned a few windows. A bit of a spring clean you could say :)
Phrynne wrote: "Even staying in Sydney would have been okay!"
Haha! I suppose at least you had an outing:)

Yes - it was a family thing so lots of good company and too much food. The weather did not really matter.

Wonderful photos, Brenda. What a beautiful day for you. Are you trying kite flying anytime soon:)

My sister and I went to the Allansford nursery; bought my 75th rose (Mother's Love) for the garden and a beautiful camellia (Hawaii).
We had a lot of laughs trying to fit the 5ft camellia into the Lexus:) Finally gave up and the guys delivered it around 5pm. I was still gardening at 6.30pm...

Sounds like a lot of fun Bette! A challenge but at least you got it home in the end:)

That is a very cool feature, Bette! And I was totally unaware of it - thank you! It's very small and I haven't noticed it before :-) And of course, I was just dying for more suggestions of things to read ;-)

That's a shame, but at least you saw her."
Apparently of all the footage they took, one bit they didn't cut was me in the queue for the signing!! Unfortunately I forgot to watch Today Tonight last night: two people sent me an email to tell me they saw me!
It was a very enjoyable lunch once we dried out from the rain.
