Sharon | 5509 comments Sending a HUGE thank you to Brenda for all her help last night.
Not only did I learn how to copy / paste and and how to put the link up for the review link. I also learnt that if you truly don't know something don't be afraid to ask like I was.
Many thanks again for being so helpful and patient :)

Tracey Alley (traceya) | 485 comments Hi all :)
Sorry I've been MIA for a while - I'm just so super busy at the moment I feel like I barely have time to blink lol Add in the fact that my back keeps playing up and you get a sense of my crazy life right now :) I'm trying to get back into a routine but it's not that easy right now with so many other things going on as well. I will make more of an effort to drop in and say 'hi' - promise :)

Hope everyone is well and reading fabulous books :)

I went to a Dymocks' Literary Luncheon today to hear Stuart MacBride. I haven't actually read any of his books but I will now. He was an excellent speaker - very funny! The food was good too as was the champagne.

Well done Melanie! So glad you are safe and sound...not so much your car though:( Never mind, it is fixable!!! Enjoy your puppy (who wouldn't be a puppy any longer!) I bet the excitement by said puppy was good:) Yamba is gorgeous isn't it! Love it there...

My uncle lives in Yamba. Bugger about the car, I'm terrified of driving to Victoria with mine.

message 9180: by [deleted user] (new)

My car made it to Vic with not issue....back was apparently to much for it. ahh well Ill fix it, sell it and get a jeep :)

Puppy is great, my parents are over seas so she is super excited to have more people to cuddle, currently sleeping next to me on my bed haha.

I love Yamba, used to go all the time when I was little, has not changed a bit!

message 9181: by Amber (new)

Amber (ukaunz) Hi all, I hope you don't mind me jumping in and asking for advice... as the Class Parent for my daughter's class (known as "1B") I've been asked by her teacher to send out an email to the rest of the parents asking for contributions to buy a gift card for the other year 1 teacher ("1W") whose wife is about to have a baby. This wife is also employed by the school as "school welfare officer", a kind of counsellor I guess. I personally think it's weird that we're being asked to donate, since neither of them directly teach our children, but anyway... I'm having trouble coming up with wording of the email. So far I've got:

Dear parents,

As you may know, Joe and Jane Bloggs* are expecting their baby soon. Mrs Blue* thought that it would be a nice idea to give them a gift card. If you'd like to contribute, please give donations (any amount welcome) to Mrs Blue.

Thanks

* not their real names, LOL

I feel I am hopeless at these sorts of things and wish I hadn't volunteered! :-D Anyone care to help me with the wording?

It used to be, and possibly still is at my doctor's surgery, that almost everyone borrowed a magazine from the pile and read it. (Haven't seen a doctor for at least six months, so maybe things have changed....) Mind you, many of the patients are seniors. :)
