I think it's harder when you have young children...I know my son and his wife are having a few problems:(

You're probably right. It isn't easy to make adjustments.

I have read his Lovesong and will check out his others. thanks:)

Awesome Jess! I was wondering what time you would be having them off!

Congratulations. I'm sure that must be a relief Jess.

I tweeted this earlier today. I always knew Literary Fiction made me a better person :P

Wow Liam!! Well done! I would have thought working at the library you wouldn't buy many!

I don't, compared to before I got this job :P I only ever used to read books that I had bought, so I spent an absolute fortune. Now I only buy books that I really enjoy, or books that are especially pretty :P This is my first big purchase in a while.

I understand...I have my favourite authors which I ALWAYS buy, but I try not to buy too many, as I'm getting to the "nowhere to put them" stage!

That would be so awesome!! A definite book-lovers house!

I walked past a real estate agent yesterday and grab one of their magazines. There's a house in the mag that has a built in bookshelf imbedded in the walls...similar to what you’re getting at Liam……It looks so amazing.

I've been a long time ebook ereader (way before Kindle), but have to admit I was a reluctant convert. That's until I tried it (for more than a couple of minutes). Especially good for anyone with vision problems. It's so easy to read and kind on the eyes -- I don't even have to wear glasses, which I do when I'm on the computer.

I found exactly the opposite and found it annoying. Give me a paper book any day. Just as well we're all different.

Yes, paperback or hardcover for me:)

In the end though, it's all about the words - or the story, if you like, no matter the format.

I completely agree Leonie! When we go on holidays I used to take a pile of "real" books! The weight when on a plane was terrible, so now I have my kindle it is so much easier. It slips into my handbag and I have close to 1000 books I can access at any time! I love my paper books, but the ease and convenience of the kindle is also fantastic. And I still get the story, whichever way I read. There is also another plus...nowadays there are some "ebook only" releases, and I can download them too:)

Just letting everyone know that this time next week we'll be on the road, heading for Brisbane. We sail out of Brisbane harbour on Saturday 19th, bound for Fiji!! A little wave from you all at 2pm (I promise I'll wave back!) as we stand on deck, sipping cocktails:) We'll be back on Australian shores on the 31st October:)

And apparently my blog (inspired by your creepy crawly encounter!) was interesting enough that I'll be chatting to Cristy-Lee MacQueen on ABC Northwest this afternoon around 2.45pm. The subject will be creepy crawlies of the northwest.

Hope you have a great time Brenda

Sounds delightful! :)

How exciting, Leonie.

Hope you have a wonderful time Brenda.

Kindle has been a lifesaver for me, I have lived in so many places with no access to either a bookstore or library and having books delivered can be difficult, but my preference would also be for a real book, my goal is to one day live somewhere with at least access to a 2nd hand bookstore :)

Hope your trip is bug free Brenda ;)
