Wow super jealous have always wanted to go to Hawaii!!

Hawaii is a lovely place to go :) Really enjoyed it there.

Today at 4.55pm I will be racing up the Black Mountain (about 2km!) and then up the Telstra Tower (403 steps!!!) to support Camp Quality. Camp Quality supports children with cancer and their families, help return smiles to their faces as they face the terrible predicament of cancer and often the long suffering that comes with treating and living with cancer. A cause worth supporting, which I am sure you would agree.
I have a modest goal of raising $150 today, and every bit helps! Hoping you could maybe spare some change to help me move closer towards my goal.
Please check out my fundraising page:

THANK YOU!!!!

Good Luck Dhitri :)

Some excellent news for those Muggles who have a gaping, Harry Potter-sized hole in their hearts: GalleyCat reports that J.K. R..."
I don't know why but Harry Potter sort of went past me...be interesting to see how she goes from writing for kids to adults!

Good Luck Dhitri were all cheering for you!!!

A quick search of your bookshelf will show you have never even read a Harry Potter book, so you have no right to comment on the matter. Same goes for Michael.
And Twilight sucks. Pun intended.

lol I don't need to read a book to know I won't like one. I don't like horror either never read it but I know I wouldn't like it not my thing same as Harry Potter, I have a right to decide what I do and don't like lol it's what makes this country great!
Wow I just caught a bit of Americanism there lol Watch out!!! lol

Yeah, but since so many people adore Harry Potter, its a bit harsh to say you dont like it. It covers so many different genres and themes. Of course you have the right to decide what you do and dont like, but it would help if you knew exactly what you were talking about before hand :)

Perhaps you should click on the 'reply' button first then Jess:)

Flaming/arguing over the internet is pointless like saying a dead flower is still alive when it's really not.

Thank you Mish and Brenda for your generous support - AND THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR CHEERING ON!
It was a bloody hot afternoon... and I clearly had overestimated my physical ability to run up a mountain and a tower... in the heat. I had never felt so close to vomiting and fainting before during and after a run. It took me a good hour to settle down and catch my breath even though, technically, I only managed to run 1.5k then walked the super steep rocky trail to the tower and then I literally had to drag my feet to walk up those 403 steps!!!
Usually when I run I play songs in my head or stories from books that I have just finished... but this time all I could hear in my head was just my heavy breathing... My GPS watch stopped working when we got into the shade, the trees probably disrupted the signal and my head got into fight and flight mode as I didn't know how much longer I had to run/hike for (this was the first leg of the race). Then as I got to the tower I started counting the steps and when I lost count my climbing got slower and slower. All I could hear was, again, my heavy breathing AND my glutes screaming me to stop!
But I didn't and felt REALLY GOOD when I finally saw the end of the climb. I've never been on the Telstra Tower before. The view was spectacular! Unfortunately the sun was too strong, I couldn't manage a decent picture of myself with the view in the background, I'd always turn into a silhouette. Come to think of it, that pretty much summed up how I felt after the race... like there was nothing left of me except for my shadow!
Again, thank you so much for your support... I have collected $100 so far... the fundraising is still ongoing, please donate cause every bit helps!
I'll post some pics soon... xx, Dhitri
Wow Dhitri, congratulations on finishing! I hope you're not suffering too badly today! That is amazing, and good on you! I just read it all out to my hubby, and he said 'good on her, she's a champion for taking it on'!
We've been up Telstra Tower and the view is gorgeous, it used to be called Black Mountain Tower I think. We lived there late 80's, early 90's.
Make sure you rest for the rest of the weekend;D

And I don't blame you either....I'd be in a shopping centre or somewhere with air conditioning, if I didn't have it at home! I was trying to be positive for you, with your fan... lol!!!
