15.1 - NEW HORIZONS
I'm really not a fan of young adult books, so I picked the young adult shelf. I really try to avoid them, I'll breakdown and read them if required for a challenge, but thats about it. So I read Fade by Lisa McMann (Goodreads author) I had read the first book for a challenge and it was ok, so I thought I would read the next book in the series.
15.6 - ONE-HIT WONDERS
For this task I read Mercy Thompson: Homecoming by Patricia Briggs. This is a graphic novel and Patricia Briggs normally writes urban fantasy books.
20.2 Karen GHHS’s Task (Rookie on Top) – Music Tells the Story
I picked the play Wicked and read A Charmed Death by Madelyn Alt
30.7 - Donna Jo's task as suggested by Meghan: GOOD SPIRITS
For part A I read Frankenstein by Mary Shelley which was first published in 1818(well before my time!) and for part B I read A Taste of Magic by Tracy Madison (Goodreads author). It looks like the woman on the cover is smirking/smiling.

This is a comfort read for me for a couple of reasons. First I've always loved historical fiction and second because having lucked upon my first Deanna Raybourn book, and the first in this series, a few years ago I've become a huge fan of Ms. Raybourn. I look forward to her new books with a great amount of anticipation and recommend them to anyone I meet who loves this genre and hasn't read her books. (And now to read her latest!)
