30.1: It's in the cards: The Hand That First Held Mine by Maggie O'Farrell and Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro.

For Never Let Me Go, I rolled Jack of Diamonds. It's written by a man and on the USA Today Best Seller's List: http://www.usatoday.com/life/books/us....

For The Hand..., I rolled an 8 of hearts and it was published in 2010 (even year) and was published since 1/1/00.

Thank you!

Manday | 307 comments I cannot believe that it is October 1st and I am only making my second report! Trust both that I have some tasks partly completed and that I intend to read more over the next month.

I just completed:

5.9 Comfort Reads
by reading Mansfield Park

Jane Austen is comfort reading because of the following:
(1) the books are well written
(2) her protagonists always end up happy
(3) nothing more serious than mismatches and dishonor occurs (no death, no torture, no great wrongs, only social mis-steps).

I selected my book from the list of modern classics. I chose #68. Fun Home, Alison Bechdel (2006).
