For task 20.3, you posted The History of Lesbian Hair. From the rather scanty GR description and the reader comments, this doesn't sound as if it fits the task..."
I am a lesbian feminist and I specifically chose the book because it did match the task perfectly. it was about the struggle for lesbians to achieve parity with humor. Unless one is a lesbian feminist, the other readers may have failed to catch the irony or the connection.

Thanks, Wendy. It's often difficult from the brief GR descriptions to tell whether a book actually matches the task - and, much as I'd like to, I can't read them all myself!

I read Nineteen Eighty-Four for task 5.8 - Freedom to Read, which brings my total to 460. You have me down as 455 on the readerboard up to post 1850.
I've checked back and I think my maths is correct.

You show me with 155 and I show 175. I posted two tasks together on post 1507, that may be the culprit.
I had the following: 30.5, 15.9, 10.5, 10.1, 30.8, 30.7, 15.8, 20.6 and 15.2 through post 1508.

I saw that the Readerboard has been updated through post 1904, but I think you may have missed my post at 1826. I completed and posted task 15.4. I didn't see anything here about there being a problem with my post, so I think it might have accidentally been overlooked.
Currently on the Readerboard I am listed at 75 points, but I believe I have 90 now.
Thanks in advance for looking into this!

BRIDGIT post 1924
You've already posted these books for task 15.10 - please don't include previous posts in with the new posts.
I'm assuming that the two extra books you listed with task 15.8 are the ones you meant to use for task 15.4?
When you're listing multiple tasks in one post, PLEASE put them in order. The more skipping around I have to do, the more likely I am to miss something.
thanks!

Your totals show 190 points, 14 tasks. You posted 180 points and 12 tasks in this post, and I can only find one other post you've done in this challenge, 1 task, 5 points. That gives you a total of 185 points, 13 tasks.

KIM D post 2013
Each of the two books for task 30.1 must meet 2 criteria, based on the two cards you draw. You need to pick 2 cards and post which ones they are. Then, you must pick a book that meets both criteria, for each of the cards - one based on the number of the card, one based on the suit of the card. So, if you drew a 3 of hearts, you would have to red a book published in an odd year, after 1/1/00. If your second card was a Jack of spades, your second book would be a book written by a man, published in 1960 or earlier.

Message #2 shows the number of GRA tickets you earned up to the midpoint of the challenge = 10. (There is not enough room for me to continue to post all of the authors individually without a lot of shuffling around).
Message #6 shows the GRAs you've claimed since the midpoint = 6.
Message #6 only goes up to post #1933, therefore, I haven't gotten to your most recent post (#1985) which has 2 GRA in it. So, our numbers agree (or will as soon as I get up to post 1985) -- 10 + 6 + 2 = 18.

Sorry! I must have had a Duh! moment! Thanks for explaining and checking for me!

I saw your repost. Unfortunately, the books you have posted don't fit the criteria for the cards you drew.
A 10 of spades requires a book published in an even numbered year which is a classic (published before 1960). The book you posted was published in 2008.
A 3 of diamonds requires a book published in an odd numbered year which was on a bestseller list. The book you posted was published in 2010.

For task 30.5, for a roll of 3, your author must have a P or Q in his/her name. You posted Jane Austen: A Life by Claire Tomalin. Although you said that "spence" has a p in it, I don't see Spence in her name.
You also listed that book for task 15.9.

I posted it wrong, Sandy. There were two different tasks that involved two different Jane Austen books, and it looks like I posted the books to the wrong tasks. I will repost the corrections.
Sorry about that.

Task #15.9 is listed correctly in message #2031, so I did not included that information in repost.

No problem, Valorie. I have quite a few of those myself ;o).

You read (and reported) Laura Lippman in post #1128, before the midpoint of the challenge (which was post #1510).
Message #2 shows the number of GRA tickets you earned up to the midpoint of the challenge = 1. This is Laura Lippman for you.
Message #6 shows the GRAs you've claimed since the midpoint = 2 (Randy Susan Meyers and Lauren Oliver)
So, message #2 + message #6 = the number of GRA you've claimed (3).

Hi:
I think my post #1980 was missed by accident becasue going over my records i should have 435 already on the readerboard and then 25 points pending, but the readerboard reads 425 points. In post 1980 I completed task 10.10 Group Hug: I read Seeing Me Nkaed by Liza Palmer which is currently being read by the group Chick Lit. I think that would account for the 10 point discrpency. Which after post 2074 would bring me up to 460 rather tahn 450. I checked this thread to see if there was a problem with one of my posts but I didn't see anything.
Thanks,
Gina

Please double check your math. I've gone back through all your old posts and you've claimed points for
5 - all tasks - 50 points
10 - 2, 3, 4, 6, 9, 10 - 60 points
15 - all except #8 - 135 points
20 - all except #1 - 180 points
25 - 1, 3, 4 - 75 points
30 - 1, 2, 4, 5, 8 - 150 points
That totals 650.
