Melissa wrote: "I've thought of a challenge but it may be too broad. Read as many books as I can in the month of September! Is that okay? :)"Dhestiny can give you the definite opinion, but nosy that I am, I'll butt in. :p I think that for it to be a challenge, it needs to be quantifiable so why don't you throw in a number? If you read 10 books last month, you can say you'll read 11 or if you read 15 books last month but are busy this month, maybe you can challenge yourself to complete at least 10. Somehting like that. ;)

Wow, Catherine! 7 books in 7 days! I'm amazed. I'm not doing so great in this challenge. I've only read 1 book so far. :(
I've got to keep it up or I'll start losing interest in the challenge and start focusing on rereads. I go through spurts where I just feel like rereading ones I know I liked.

Also know that this is about YOUR own challenge so don't worry how the rest of us are doing...(although I'm in awe of Catherine too, LOL!)
Thanks for the word of encouragement, UM and D.G. What's bugging me is, I defined my goal and I decided which books I was going to read - so why am I doing so "bad"? Luckily, I still have plenty of time to finish the challenge. :)
Don't worry Dina! You know you usually do way better than me at these challenges! The only reason I'm so far ahead is that I've been, literally, laying around sick, doing nothing but reading and sleeping!
The first couple days I kept falling asleep in the middle of it. I was so out of it! My husband would find me and have to roll me off my book. LOL.
Thank you! I'm pretty much better now. I got sick Friday and spent my whole lovely weekend sleeping and reading and infecting my children.

Oh yeah, no problem... well, the store throat is gone but I feel that tightening in my chest that says I'm fighting something of a respiratory nature, but I'll be fine, thanks for asking!
Tightening in your chest? That's love - at least, in Romancelandia, LOL.(Kidding aside, I hope you feel better soon, UM.)
Thanks, Dina! Yeah... that is love in Romancelandia, except I'm bound to cough right about the time Royce, Rhys or Zsadist tries to slip me the tongue.

This is bizarre! Historical Romance is my favorite genre, but it's the last category to be completed!! Actually, I did read another HR, but it's by the same author, so under my own rules I can't count it!!!Build Your Own Challenge

I'm saving the best for last as well, BJ. That way I have more motivation to get through the books I've been hesitant to read. LOL

LOLOLOLOL, Dina!!
I hope you guys feel better soon...I'd really like to catch a cold so I can stay home and read. People at work are killing me!
I have finished Three Nights with a Scoundrel. I really liked it. I have only read 4 of the 12 books I challenged myself with, but I plan on making up some time this weekend. I may have been too ambitious for my first challenge. How do you underline the names of books? Can anyone tell me? Also, how do you repost with changes? I apologize, I haven't posted much.
To make the book name an underlined link, just click "add book/author" (located right above the comment box. You can choose to search for the link to the author name, the bookcover, or even click the author tab and search for the author name.To repost with changes you just find your original comment and click "edit." Then you select all, copy it, and then cancel the edit. Then you go to the comment box and paste. Then you add your changes.
Hopefully that's clear!

Melissa, September 1st was the cut-off to make changes to this challenge. I know you can make them in other challenges, but since you were able to create your own challenge with this one, we decided the challenging part would be that you couldn't make changes after September 1st.Is there time for you to switch back to your original goal?
