2/9I'm going to read 9 or more books from my To Be Read Shelf.
All 9 are books I already own.
Three are a trilogy I'll start and complete.
Two will be authors I've never read before - Elizabeth Hoyt and Sarah McClean.
Two are series I'm catching up on, I-Team by Pamela Clare and EliteOPS by Lora Leigh
1 - The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner: An Eclipse Novella - Stephenie Meyer - Done
2 - The Raven Prince- Elizabeth Hoyt
3 - Naked Edge - Pamela Clare
4 - Three Nights with a Scoundrel- Tessa Dare
5 - The Leopard Prince - Elizabeth Hoyt
6 - Nine Rules to Break When Romancing a Rake- McClean, Sarah
7 - Black Jack – Lora Leigh
8 - The Serpent Prince- Elizabeth Hoyt
9 - The Ranger – Rhonda Nelson - Done
Okay, UM, I'm in. I'll follow your lead and work on reducing my TBR.BUILD MY OWN CHALLENGE CHALLENGE
Duration: September 1 - September 30
Goal: Read at least books from my To-Read shelf.
Here's my list:
1. Surrender by Pamela Clare
2. Untamed by Pamela Clare
3.
4.
5.
6.
P.S.: I know my list isn't complete yet, LOL. I'm just comitting myself to this challenge for now and I'll post my final list of books later - before September 1, of course. ;)
I made it more challenging by saying that there are no "take backs" on this one. Once you post, that's it. Try to make changes and you'll find Eric Cartman knocking on your door with his billy club. LOL
LOL! That's why I didn't list any book yet. I'm going to wait until the last minute to commit myself to my final list. As much as I love Cartman, I'm not eager to have him visiting me. ;)
I'm going to do the "Try a New Author"(how do you bold stuff here?)I've already got one marked for the other September challenge and I have two pages of new ones to try!
But I'm NOT putting it here because I don't want this Cartman fella, whoever he might be, knocking at my door. Or do I? Is he hawt? LOL!
LOL, Mandy, you do not want Cartman banging on your door. He's a character from "South Park", a non-PC cartoon that no kid should be allowed to watch. ;)Mandy wrote: "(how do you bold stuff here?)"
Click on "(some html is ok)" on top of the comment box. You'll find all the info you need to bold, italicize, underline, etc. your words/sentences.
This is Eric Cartman from the TV show, South Park. He's a hoot.
And this is a video of him acting as a cop
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3QJ8NK...
And why you don't want to deal with his bully club. LOL

And to use BOLD click on the link that says (some html is ok) above the comment box and look down about half way you'll see where it said bold text and there's a code that looks like this <.b>...<./b> (without the periods) you put the text or letters you want to have in bold in between that code like this...<.b>hello (without the periods)
I think I am going to do this challenge, but not sure whether to finish off a series or just try and reduce books from my TBR pile, or just finish the books I have bought recently and not read, grrr the possibilities are endless!
Good Luck everyone. As tempting as it is to challenge myself to finish my unfinished I'm going to pass and opt out this month.
I'm making a slight change to the "rules." You can post and make changes your challenge up until September 1. On September 1st, no more changes can be made.

This is one of the instances where I'm glad I have 200+ books on my bookshelves waiting to be read. It was fairly easy to come up with books that I could fit into Spell September AND have them count as clearing some books from my TBR and not have to buy more to fit the challenges.

Maybe if I began branching out more and trying new authors (as I am now doing) I could build up my TBR pile.
For my challenge, I'm going easy on myself and only having four books this month. I'm going to have four romance novels by authors I've never read. My choices are:1.) As You Like it by Connie Brockway
2.) The Romantic by Madeline Hunter
3.) A Rose in Winter by Kathleen Woodiwess
4.) A Lady's Guide to Improper Behavior by Suzanne Enoch
I'm in, great challenge Dhestiny!Books 4, duration September 1- September 30
Continue a series:
1.
2.
Try a new author:
3.
4.
Hey everyone! These are the names I have added-Dina
Mandy
Danielle
Suzanne
Linds
Alycia
Kelly
If I'm missing someone, please let me know.
Ah, I can understand! Your spirit is still on vacation, right? How was it? Did you have a great time?
It was nice not having to do anything! We went through Zion National Park, the St. George Utah Mall, ate at some places we don't have here at home, lounged around.... so why I need a vacation to recuperate from my vacation I couldn't tell ya.
UniquelyMoi *~*Dhestiny*~* wrote: "Well, I've changed my list again :)"Me too :) I may even add some
WOOHOO!!! I'm just trying to make the books ones I really want to read so I don't get bored. The only questionable one is the #9 - Reluctant Mistress, Blackmailed Wife - Lynne Graham - but it works for my Spell September challenge, too.
UniquelyMoi *~*Dhestiny*~* wrote: "WOOHOO!!! I'm just trying to make the books ones I really want to read so I don't get bored. The only questionable one is the #9 - Reluctant Mistress, Blackmailed Wife - Lynne Graham ..."It does have decent rating and it is short.
Hopefully it isn't. I'm following your Mary Wine pick, I think I will add the first book to my list.
I liked them, but her other one that was a full length was kind of slow. I'm hoping Bedding will be good.
UniquelyMoi *~*Dhestiny*~* wrote: "I'm hoping Bedding will be good."Oh, my mind's in the gutter... LOL!
Dina wrote: "UniquelyMoi *~*Dhestiny*~* wrote: "I'm hoping Bedding will be good."Oh, my mind's in the gutter... LOL!"
LOL, Dina!
Alycia, it was.... neither of those... one came out... recently... oh, it was
. You can read my review for it, there are no spoilers, or if there are, they are labeled.

Ok, ladies! September will soon be upon us so it's time to prepare for a new challenge.
The Build Your Own Challenge challenge is one in which the challenge is going to be left up to you to create.
Each one of you will come up with your own challenge, including the number of books to read with a minimum of 4. As you join, I'll add you to our participant's thread along with the number of books you've committed to.
Some examples:
---Catch up or finish a series.
---Try some authors you’ve never read before.
---Try a new genre.
---Read X number of books from your To Be Read pile, or mountain, as the case may be.
The options are endless!
The challenge runs from September 1 through September 30.
But, here's the deal, once you commit, you can't change your mind, so think it through before you decide!
Now, if you like this idea and there’s enough interest, I can make this into a quarterly challenge instead. Just let me know.
