Edit: Secret Wedding by Liz Fielding turned out to be a short story/novella so since I also recently read another book where the hero's last name begins with "G", I put that as an alternative title.
With this, as of March 5, 2011, I've concluded my first Reading Challenge. :)

6/6 Complete on 05/12/10!!

Intervention was disappointing. The writing was fine, but the book tried to be all Da Vinci Code with these completely laughable religious plot-lines. Considering I didn't enjoy the original Da Vinci Code much, it's no surprise that I didn't enjoy a pale derivative either. I haven't read anything else from Robin Cook, but I'm willing to give him a second chance as I've heard a lot of his earlier work is much better. I couldn't seem to find The Puppeteer though.
A Countess Below Stairs was excellent ya historical fiction - I enjoyed it very much! It was a fun read, with just the right amount of romance, and the author obviously put some effort into researching Russia and the history. Really well done and doesn't seem dated at all, even though it was written in the 80s.

The protagonists are definitely Mary Sues, and the villains are pure evil with no nuance or good points. The books are quite predictable and fluffy, but still highly enjoyable. They're just a light feel-good read, but I find them a lot more sophisticated and intelligent than something like Gossip Girl or all the paranormal stuff - I learned some russian words, there are lots of references to classical music, lots of period-accurate historical details, etc. Plus, she has great vocabulary, especially with adjectives - I actually had to look a few words up! And she made a decent attempt to tackle more complicated themes like anti-semitism and ableism. So not the most challenging books plot-wise, but they're fun and sweet and not totally shallow.

My quiz tells me I am a Rabbit, surprise surprise lol! "Rabbits are lovely creatures! They are warm and lovable, and they get along with just about anyone. Rabbits are dedicated, loyal, hard-working, and of course, they are extremely cute! Most of all, rabbits love to cuddle. People who are rabbits love to wear soft, cozy clothes, and sit near a warm fireplace when it's cold outside. Rabbits tend to look for the best in people, and often find it:
