I know, I know! So much to read and so many decisions to make as to what to read next. My TBR list is growing in leaps and bounds by the day. (Sigh)

Stacia... I didn't believe what you said so I googled it and... OMG!!! HIM!!! No no no!! What in the hell are these people thinking? How can they go from understanding that Alex was perfect for the job, to casting someone like Jamie Campbell??? This is a serious problem. Is it lame that I feel like crying?

Was there really no one else in the enitire world of actors that they could have casted that actually resembled Jace? I'm not sure I want to watch the movie when it comes out... Of course I still will, but it's the thought that counts.

Jeanine - when I saw this I also felt like crying! I have no idea what they are thinking, Alex is as close to what I think Jace would/should look like that I don't know if I will be able to accept him looking like Jamie!

It's like they just gave up on finding someone who can act and look the part just because Alex refused too... I've not really seen Jamie act, he just sits on a throne as one of the Volturi vamps in Eclipse, but it doesn't matter. Even if he was the best actor out there, he doesn't look like Jace.

Maybe with a bit of hair/skin color tweaking and a little bit of working out, it could work. I wouldn't have picked him, but here's hoping they'll do something to make him look the part.

I might have to avoid the film altogether. Bad film versions of characters tend to obliterate the ones in my head, and I'm really not up for that happening yet again to a series I care about :( (though admittedly, I may not have the willpower not to watch it!)

LMAO!!!! you hit it right on!!!

YES!!!! He totally looks like a girl!

Rogier... You really should read them. They are one of my most favorite series'.
Stacia... I don't know where you found this picture, but I know it was in a sea of other, more horrific pictures of him. Good thing Jace doesn't do all that much smiling.. hahaha.

Yeah I had a huge problem with the actor they cast, mostly because of his age and it was really a huge problem for me that I never really got over. The screenplay also suck pretty hard, which didn't help either.
And yeah the google images were all so bad I just stared at them shocked!

"We normally do not comment on any book or movie rumors unless we have confirmed with the source (ie. Cassie, Simon & Schuster or Screen Gems) that they are true. Today Twitter is a buzz with the news that Screen Gems has cast Jamie Bower as Jace. We've received a lot of comments about this on Twitter, which stemmed from this article here and here, asking us what we thought.
Here's what we know, that as of right now this is a RUMOR. It's a rumor because we have not heard or read a confirmation on this from Screen Gems. We have refrained from commenting on casting until we've heard official news from the studio. I have always pictured someone like Alex P as Jace. As I said on Twitter, Jamie is not who I pictured as Jace, BUT that does not mean Jamie or whomever is cast can't become Jace on the big screen. I'm not big on comparing things to Twilight, but a lot of people complained about Rob becoming Edward and then ended up loving him for how well he portrayed him on the big screen.
MM's is a team divided, Sophie has said for awhile now that she would love to see Jamie play Jace. I will say that just because Jamie or whomever is cast as Jace is not who I pictured, doesn't mean he can't do a great job with bringing Jace to life. I'm going to trust Screen Gems knows who will fit the part well."

Where did you go to see the fan art photoshoping for Hunger Games? I'm not as disspointed in the cast... I mean, it seems like they've gotten Peeta and Gale backwards, but the picture of the actress who is playing Katniss on entertainment Weekly looked awesome.

"We normally do not comment on any book or movie rumors unless we have confirmed..."
That does give me a sliver of hope :) Did people really say that Rob portrayed Edward so well that they ended up falling in love with him?? Hhhmmm.. I think Rob is cute, but he did not play a good Edward.

Other than the hair color, they picked the right "body types" for Gale and Peeta. Josh and Liam couldn't be switched because Liam is tall and lean like Gale, and Josh is shorter and broader like Peeta.
I'm still not thrilled with the Katniss choice. I picture Katniss with a leaner, much less round face, and a touch more rough looking. The girl was practically starving. I'm over it and not going to let it effect my enjoyment of the movie, but didn't think she all of a sudden became the part just because they dyed her hair and threw dirt on her.
My mind was changed on Josh for Peeta though. He is the right body type for the role and after seeing more of him, I think he'll do alright.
Sort of unsure about Liam as Gale. He doesn't look the role at all, but I'm not really caring one way or the other I guess.

My biggest problem with this actor is that he looks too YOUNG.
I never ever had a problem with any of the castings for Hunger Games because i felt like even if the actors didn't look exactly like the character it felt like they were really trying to find GOOD actors for the roles. Actors with depth.
But THIS casting feels more like they grabbed him because he was blonde with longish hair. I don't look into his eyes and see Jace at all.
But! I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Yeah.. you're right about Katniss. Jennifer Lawrence, atleast I think that's the actress' name, is a bit to curvy and she does have a rounded face. Who ever plays Katniss should look almost anorexic... But not really of course. That body type wouldn't have been hard to find. Most of the actresses in Hollywood look that way. I'll have to back and look at the pictures of the actors who are going to play Gale and Peeta.

Rogier.. I can almost promise that you wont be dissapointed :)

My bigge..."
Maybe Hollywood has figured out how to do head transplants... Hey, it's not too far fetched judging by all the crap they can pull off today.. lmao

WOW! I go get something to eat and you guys are are all the way down here... Jeanine I agree I just cant see him saying things like Jace I mean come on he might end up flipping his hair like a girl.... then I will gut up and run out the theater....lol.... it I'm so sad I want to cry wish we could vote for this....

I know!!! maybe they should have casted him for Alec and just dye his hair dark.. Atleast if he flipped his hair like a girl, we would all know why... right? OOohh.. Maybe he should be Magnus.. Just anybody BUT JACE!!!

I really liked the cover of entertainment weekly with Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss. But, Stacia had a good point about her not looking hungry enough. That cover was so airbrushed to make her face look slimmer. That can't be what she is going to look like in the movie. S

Now I'm unsure...there are several articles out right now saying he has been cast, including one from Variety.

What do you think of THAT version of Jamie?
But I haven't seen CAMELOT, have any of you? I think his acting and looks on that series would be a better indicator as to whether he could pull Jace off. What have you seen of Camelot?
