Steph, for #1 Kellogg's, they don't all have to be the 1st book of a series, do they? And you had to kill me on the 4 time travel books, didn't ya? Couldn't do something easy like shifters. :)
Does anyone know of any other time travel series with 4 books besides Outlander and KMM's Highlanders? I've read all the Outlanders, and don't really have any urge to read the Highlanders, but I guess I just might have to. :)

Judithe wrote: "And lovely Laura Lulu, ...Angela Knight has some time travel ones starting with Jane's Warlord...Guardians of Time??? But maybe there are only 3 books so far...."It seems all the time travel series I can find are PNR, and I'm not a huge PNR fan. I'm very picky about the ones I read, and I like to space them out. I'm too much of a cynical bitch to fully enjoy them. :)
Time travel series -the Cassandra Palmer by Karen Chance has exactly four books in it so far and it's UF.
Good one, Ames! Plus, it's okay to use a few non-PNR and/or UF throughout. And dang it, I guess I coulda done a play on words for Loops and done Lupes instead. The first thing that came to me with that one was time loops. Sounds great though. So . . . I'm going to edit that one to be either/or. Thanks, Laura! :)
Laura Lulu wrote: "Steph, for #1 Kellogg's, they don't all have to be the 1st book of a series, do they..."No. They do not have to all be a #1. They just have to be a book in a series. They can be any # within any series. :)

Melissa Mayhue has a highlander time travel series and I think Janet Chapman also has a highlander time travel series. I'm actually reading the first book in Mayhue's series for an August challenge Thirty Nights with a Highland Husband
Welcome to the challenge, everyone! Hope you have fun pulling your lists together and find some good books to read. :)
Charlotte (Buried in Books) wrote: "Would the "In Death" series count as time travel??"Sorry, Charlotte. I don't know. I haven't read that series. I'm sure someone else will be able to answer you though.
Great list, Sallie. When you've finished Black Dust Mambo don't forget to stop by our Aug BOM discussion to share your thoughts on it. And, I hope you enjoy Kim Harrison's series. It's a good one.
Steph, would Larissa Ione's Demonica series work for Cap'n Crunch? Not so sure about the "hero promoted on the cover bit"...they've all got very luscious guys...sometimes alone and sometimes not....
Her series would most definitely work for Cap'n Crunch. And no, the books chosen for kelloggs can either be all in one series or mix-n-matched series. Up to you. No series book can be used in more than one category though. Books from the same series can be used where ever they fit, but each individual book can only be used once.
Hope that makes sense.
☪☠Lizz☠☪ wrote: "I will be in this and I will post as I go"Welcome, Lizz. You can post your list whenever you're ready. But you have to post your duration dates before you start reading your first book for the challenge.
Thanks. And Happy Reading!
I think that makes sense, but let me check. Each book can only be used once, but a series can be used more than once. So, for example, a series can be used in a kellogg's book, and the remainder of the series can be used in Fruit Loops. I've worked up a tentative list, and will post it in my message #17 (where I tentatively decided to join)--you can see what I mean in it.
And if something is NG, do let me know!
Charlotte, "In Death" is set in the future - 2059+, but there is no time travel involved. So I would say you couldn't use it for that.

Not going to start this challenge though until I've finished a couple of other year long challenges I've got going.
Question - for most recent book published can we go with most recent pb if we don't read hardcovers?
Will be joining this craziness too.have my list half way put together and will post when I'm done. Was hung up on the time travel bit but, I see that you have changed it so will have it together real soon.

Steph - I have a question about the rules. On your Kelloggs listing, you have books 4, 9 and 11 of certain series but the rules you wrote state "In order for a series to be allowed, you cannot have read more than book #1 of that series at the time you start the challenge (unless stated otherwise in that category’s rules).". Did I misunderstand or did the Kelloggs category have an exception to this that I missed?
