@Debra, cool! I'm curious about what others have to say on Peculiar Children. And @Stacia & Carina, if you guys are interested, right after the prologue this book starts out with the same tone as Hold Me Closer then goes somewhere else completely. :)

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) It's on my list. So many books to read and my time has been so limited for reading lately. :(

I think it took me a week to get through 2 books this time maybe?

Finished Hold Me Closer, Necromancer by Lish McBride Feed (Newsflesh, #1) by Mira Grant liked them both, but liked HMCN better.

Reading Passion (Fallen, #3) by Lauren Kate and not very thrilled about it to be honest. :p

message 7508: by Sasha (new)

Sasha Just started The Girl in the Steel Corset (Steampunk Chronicles, #1) by Kady Cross and it's good so far! Hope it stays that way.

Well, I am currently on page 121 and it is going kinda slow, but I'm liking it so far. I don't see any similarities yet that I know of between the Darkest Powers series and Darkness rising series except it mentioned Dr. Davidoff's name a couple times so far.

Debra Jo Reads (debrajo) @Amy.... ok thanks :)

Amy ~Lover of Books~ Debra wrote: "@Amy.... ok thanks :)"

You're welcome. I finished the book this morning and I liked it. Saw a few similarities between the Darkest powers and the darkness rising series after I read on from page 121. I can't wait until Kelley Armstrong brings these two series together where the kids from both series meet up. Now, that will be interesting.

I'm halfway through the book, but I'm loving the wit and humour that Georgina has in the book.

Im looking forward to buddy read the first Georgina Kinkaid book in one of my other books. I've heard great things about the series.

message 7521: by LM (new)

LM (schmokeyfaery) | 94 comments Cool! Yeah, the Georgina Kincaid books are pretty awesome! I'm only on the second book cuz I've been reading different books like the Morganville Vampire Series. Trying to catch up on my daily reading! :D

How are the Jaz Parks series? Any good??

message 7523: by thesebooksiread (new)

thesebooksiread I was just complaining about this in another forum but I have started like 3 books in the last week or 2 and I cannot get into any of them. I started Turned by Morgan Rice, Cryptic Cravings by Ellen Schreiber and then The Witches of East End by Melissa De La Cruz. Turned just isn't that excited to me and there are lots of grammatical errors that are annoying me. Cryptic Cravings is okay but I am starting to be a little tapped out with this series so it isn't as great as normal.. and Witches is pretty good so far but it just hasn't hooked me yet and made me want to devour it. ugh. Hate book weeks like this :( :)

message 7531: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) Going to start Storm Born (Dark Swan, #1) by Richelle Mead soon.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Can't wait to see if you're a Kiyo or Dorian person. But, my opinion seems to change with every book, so I don't even know who I'm a fan of anymore.

Loool I hate it when that happens. Its ultimate confusion. Probably Kiyo though.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) They are both selfish jerks who are looking out for their own interests, but I do think they both care about Eugenie in their own way.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Did you buy the book or are you borrowing it?

Oh well I hate jerks! I hope they aren't like Marc. But Kiyo is Asian I can look past it. As long as they aren't like Will or Marc jerktype.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Kiyo's the aggressor. Dorian's the conniving manipulator.

message 7538: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) Hmm.. I'll have to read and see.

LM (schmokeyfaery) | 94 comments And now I am reading a book that is neither Paranormal nor Fantasy...

Flawless by Lara Chapman

I am taking a break from the Paranormal for now and reading a retelling of Cyrano de Bergerac (you know, the guy with a large nose who falls in love with a beautiful lady and pretends that his friend is him, except that in Flawless it is a teenage girl with a large nose that falls in love with the new guy in her high school).

message 7544: by Carina (new)

Carina Started The Blood That Bonds The Blood That Bonds by Christopher Buecheler last night. I'm pretty sure its a very light adult book, since there are no sex scenes or they are very vague.
Its good so far.
Also started re-reading Shiver Shiver (The Wolves of Mercy Falls, #1) by Maggie Stiefvater

Carina Any recommendations on a light fun read? I wouldn't ming a little romance in the mix as long as its light and fun too.

message 7550: by Jeannie (new)

Jeannie (thegenie) | 3 comments Okay, I've been in a big need of a book that involves Fantasy and Comedy. Anybody have any suggestions on what I should read?
Thanks a bunch.
