Heh..when my dad was fighting the Battle of the Bulge in WWII, my mom was being born. Age is just a number as they say ;)

I enjoyed Game of Thrones, but am not a big Harry Dresden fan. I've read through #3. Everyone says it gets better after that.
I've been futsing around trying to decide what to read next. Settled on Burndive. It's good so far.

Excellent :) What are your postage prices to Australia? ;)

Unless you are underaged, or driving...or pregnant...or carrying a fake ID...dang
takes tequila away (quietly hands off bottles to Jason and Ala)

Sorry, Maggie I don't drink. I just see no reason ever to drink.

"we" covers it/him/me/us.
They don't let you have books immediately when you're arrested. Bastards.
On a side note does anyone know if all of the SFBC's books are smaller in stature than a typical hardcover or is it just their exclusive books that are of a smaller size?

Thanks Jason and Tracey. I suppose I'll stick to ordering books that are exclusive to them

At work, I'm reading (on my iPod) my very first Star Wars novel: [book:Deceived (Star Wars: The Old Republic, #2)|8015..."
You'll have to go back and get the original Timothy Zahn Heir to the Empire set. They are really good.
I read...a bunch of books :D I plan on reading...a bunch more books :) Moon Over Soho should be coming in soon. Hoping it's a bit more exciting than Midnight Riot.

That's just started a fight to the death

Zahn is the one who introduces us to Mara Jade.

But more alcohol is the best cure for a hangover

I like that. Alcohol: One of the few things where the cause of the consequences are also the cure.
And Jason, I'll have to check with Maggie before I get any tequila :(

The book is called "Making the Rounds with Oscar," written by an originally sceptical doctor at the nursing home (who doesn't even like cats). He eventually becomes a believer. Nice writing, great story. If you love cats, you'll be nuts about Oscar.

:-D
Just started The Name of the Wind - Loving it so far. :-)

So many people just loved that one M, and I just didn't see it...but I decided to re-read it since it is the BotM on another site...hopefully I will like it better this time!

I have a review to write and then it's on to The Redemption of Althulus...and then Iron Kissed...I might throw some Dresden, too.
I also need to finish Paks and a few other books still lingering in my currently reading list.

I agree. Have you read her other novel "Graceling"? I found that one to be even better.

I have. I thought both were excellent but I preferred FIRE by a slight margin. I am looking forward to BITTERBLUE.
After her first two novels, Cashore goes on a fairly short list of authors whose work I will now buy when it comes out, whatever it is :)
