Zakiya LadyWings (zladywings) Oh, Angela! I was supposed to ask you, would you mind doing a Guest Review for my blog? I remembered you did one for For the Love of Reading, and just thought I'd ask.

Cools! I can't wait to read it! :D

message 306: by Angela (new)

Angela B | 425 comments I wouldn't mind that at all, is there a specific book or genre you want?

★Meghan★ (starinheaven) | 1455 comments I am finally in a little groove again. I just couldn't read fast enough for my own liking. Maybe it was just me or it could have been something else (like the excess amount of work I have).
But I finally finished Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (Harry Potter, #1) by J.K. Rowling and The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (Millennium, #1) by Stieg Larsson and still reading Dracula by Bram Stoker also will be starting The Hunger Games (Hunger Games, #1) by Suzanne Collins

I loved the Summoning and the Awakening so much! I still have to read the Reckoning, but I think before I do that, I reread the other two first because it has been a year since I read them.

I think it was a little too predicatable for me. I gave it a 4* not because it was bad or anything. Just a little too predictable and I hate when books end in cliffhangers. Maybe I will like Catching Fire better.

message 331: by Jaime (new)

Jaime (jaimehobbes) Reading Girl With the Dragon Tattoo right now. Kind of hard to get going in it. Kind of depressed that I finished Mockingjay and no more books in the Hunger Games!!!!

Catching Fire is almost better than The Hunger Games. I only gave The Hunger Games 4 stars, then I reread it right before I read Catching Fire, and raised it to 5 stars. Such a great series...

Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is such a great book. Once you get to the middle part it gets pretty much amazing especially with trying to figure out what goes on. I will be honest I did not like the end of the book and thought the book climaxed really early but it is pretty much amazing. Just keep reading it is really good.

Amy ~Lover of Books~ | 538 comments **Carla** wrote: "wow that is a long waitlist..I got mine from the library but I guess i pays to be from a small town!!"

I got mine from the library too and I was like number 3 or 4 on the list. They got 4 copies and I was one of the first people to get it. I put the book on hold like a month in advanced.

message 342: by Shay (new)

Shay | 862 comments Our library system has 96 copies. Budget cuts, even a year ago it would have been about 180-200 copies. They always buy more copies of children's book because they can keep new releases longer (3 instead of 2 weeks) and no fines, so a lot of them will be returned late.

message 343: by Zakiya (new)

Zakiya LadyWings (zladywings) Just finished The Giver, and am about to start Catching Fire.
