Yeah, she is a wordy author. I just read Christine Feehan when I'm in the mood for that kind of writing.

Anne | 85 comments I just finished The Datkest Passion, and I am going to pull away from PNR for the moment. Should I go with:
The Professional Part 1 (The Game Maker, #1.1) by Kresley Cole Never Seduce a Scot (The Montgomerys and Armstrongs, #1) by Maya Banks Beautiful Stranger (Beautiful Bastard, #2) by Christina Lauren Thoughtless (Thoughtless, #1) by S.C. Stephens or In Flight (Up in the Air, #1) by R.K. Lilley

Decision, decisions. Lol

Maya Banks, Never Seduce a Scot! Whenever I need a break from PNR i find myself reading historical type romance.

message 204: by Anne (new)

Anne | 85 comments Haha I'll give Maya Banks a try. I haven't read a ton of historical, but I heard this one was good. Plus I need an N for my A to Z challenge to keep up with you, April! Lol

I've slowed down, I'm trying to pace myself:)

It was recommended on one of the boards I read, can't find which, and I wanted to say thanks for the recommendation. I liked it!"

Just added to my shelf. Sounds great!!

MacRieve (Immortals After Dark, #13) by Kresley Cole Again.. Dying for the next book to come out although this is the last in the series as of yet... Immortals after dark is a brilliant series!!

I just read Hard as It Gets that might meet your reading needs.

message 209: by Ceki (new)

Ceki (ceki91) Ok guys, I am looking for something like this On Thin Ice I like the plot (getting kidnapped/lost and then working together to save themselves) and the alpha male, I'd just like the main female character to be more confident and not timid.
Any recommendations?:)

Susan (the other Susan) (theothersusan) | 259 comments On Thin Ice is one of my favorites. Have you read the rest of the Ice series?

I wish I could make a recommendation other than the Ice series. Not enough RS in that vein available. Sad, cause it's my favorite kind. :)

message 212: by [deleted user] (new)

Help! :( I have so little time to read and I'm torn which of the following three I should begin with first.

Try (Temptation, #1) by Ella Frank Naked (The Blackstone Affair, #1) by Raine Miller The Art of Domination (The Art of D/s, #2) by Ella Dominguez

Yes, I love the plots and everything, except the female characters :( I wish they could be on a par with the males but they are too pathetic for my taste.

You might enjoy the Sea Haven and GhostWalker books by Feehan. Lots of action, brooding, tortured kickbutt sexy heroes and tough heroines. I just finished

Air Bound (Sisters of the Heart, #3) by Christine Feehan , and it's almost exactly what you described. It renews my love of romance and its potential.

Thank you!:) I'll check it out!

Suzie | 9 comments I would have to recommend Kresley Cole Her books are brilliant.

I would also like to recommend Fire and Fangs as i have read this book twice now and loved it just as much as the first time if not more.

message 217: by Savannah (new)

Savannah (skyswriting) | 65 comments So, this is the last season of Sons of Anarchy, and I am a little more than upset LOL

Anyone have great recs for action packed, steamy, alpha filled MC books? It's shocking to admit, I haven't read any at all, I have always preferred to watch to get my eye candy lol. I want to change that because I have seen that there is a huge amount of MC books out there that I never realized were there, but I don't know where to begin. Thanks!

message 218: by Sam (new)

Sam | 1 comments I haven't personally read them, but everyone I know who has read them has LOVED the Joanna Wylde MC books. Reaper's Property (Reapers MC, #1) by Joanna Wylde I think this is the first one. I know by the time it got to book 3 or 4 (the Devil's something) people were losing their minds about it, lol.

Mmmm...Jax!! I second the recommendation for Reaper's Property (Reapers MC, #1) by Joanna Wylde . You should also check out Motorcycle Man (Dream Man, #4) by Kristen Ashley and Craving Constellations (The Aces, #1) by Nicole Jacquelyn :)

message 221: by Nicole (new)

Nicole | 18 comments Anyone read the Dark Hunter Series Night Pleasures (Dark-Hunter, #1) by Sherrilyn Kenyon , I'm guessing this is the first book.

I'm confused as hell as to which book to read first. Given I've never read any of Sherrilyn Kenyon's books before, which one should I start first?

message 222: by Kryptonite (last edited Oct 14, 2015 04:52PM) (new)

Kryptonite (sg34) | 406 comments SK's reading list does get confusing. She combines Dark-Hunters, Dream-Hunter, and Were-Hunter into one world so the books intercept. I think if you look under Dark-Hunter, it covers all series.

Between the three series:
Book 1: Night Pleasures (what you guessed)
Book 2: Night Embrace
Book 3: Dance with the Devil

message 223: by Nicole (new)

Nicole | 18 comments K. Thanks! Isn't there a Dark series too or am I confusing that with another author. Or is that the Dark-Hunter series too? So confused.

Kryptonite (sg34) | 406 comments Nicole wrote: "K. Thanks! Isn't there a Dark series too or am I confusing that with another author. Or is that the Dark-Hunter series too? So confused."

No problem.

You might be confusing the Dark series by another author.

Check out her website: http://www.sherrilynkenyon.com/
The "Book Series" tab shows all her series. Some series share the same world (like dark hunter, dream hunter, and were hunter) and that can make it confusing.

message 225: by Nicole (new)

Nicole | 18 comments It appears there is a Dark series, which I'll get to. In the meantime, I'll start Dark-Hunter. Thanks!

message 228: by ✿ Natalie ✿ (new)

✿ Natalie ✿ | 428 comments @Nicole I started the Dark-Hunter's with Night Pleasures.
I didn't always read the earlier books in order but, from memory, it's
1) Night Pleasures
2) Night Embrace
3) Dance with the Devil
4) Kiss of the Night
5) Night Play

Etc..

'Fantasy Lover' is a kind of off-shoot book set in the same world but is set before Night Pleasures takes place, but isn't a Dark-Hunter book.

Captive in the Dark (The Dark Duet, #1) by C.J. Roberts is good but it is much DARKER than "Raw". (By the way "Raw" was one of my favorite reads!)
I highly recommend Deviant (Blood & Roses, #1) by Callie Hart . It is a 7 book series.
