M | 11617 comments I almost bought an old one recently, to wear just for fun to cocktail hour. I saw it on eBay. It was a wrist model with “Calypso” on the dial, made by U. S. Divers back in the days of Jacques Cousteau.

TPBM is glad the EPA hasn’t banned spray starch.

message 2602: by Kyra (new)

Kyra (Nikara) | 1221 comments Er... Well, I can say I'm neutral on the topic.

TPBM really wants a Jamba Juice right now.

message 2603: by M (new)

M | 11617 comments Yes. I’ve been putting it off for years.

TPBM finds funerals happier occasions than weddings, if only because funerals are final. The person who died can’t decide he’s unhappy with death, only to summon you to a second funeral, then a third.

I would love to met Guy, but I make a point of not meeting those I have a high opinion of.

I didn't know Guy ..."

Hahaha I have no idea how I misread that. I think you changed your post after I already posted my response :D

Um, sorry I disagree. I find funerals terrifying because I always have visions of the dead getting up and eating me.

TPBM is wearing glasses right now.

message 2611: by [deleted user] (new)

No.

TPBM has kept old receipts in his/her files/purse.

message 2612: by M (new)

M | 11617 comments I have file drawers full of old invoices and receipts.

TPBM is very organized in some ways and very disorganized in others, but isn’t much in between.

message 2613: by [deleted user] (new)

Even grocery receipts?

Very true! I did some 'organizing' at home a while ago but still...

TPBM can't think of anything to write now.

message 2614: by M (last edited Jun 12, 2013 05:30PM) (new)

M | 11617 comments I got started on a story for the incubus topic, but didn’t get very far with it. I worked on it a little more this afternoon, just for fun. I can write those 5-7-5 verses all day, but I have a much harder time throwing myself into a more sustained effort.

TPBM is in the middle of a fascinating book!

message 2615: by [deleted user] (last edited Jun 12, 2013 05:44PM) (new)

[I'm in a middle of three books harhar, all of which are fascinating but other things demand most of my time, I got stuck.]

Before, but I've learned my lesson.

TPBM will write a poem/story for this week's contest.

message 2616: by Christa VG (new)

Christa VG (christa-ronpaul2012) Yes I have received a fist in my mouth on numerous occasions, sometimes it is even my own.

And I was considering putting on a poem, but it is very difficult theme this week.

TPBM is horror struck that dinner time comes around every freaking day!

message 2617: by Caitlan (new)

Caitlan (lionesserampant) | 2869 comments No. I'm actually glad for a chance to eat more food. I like food, if it isn't obvious.

TPBM loves receiving handwritten mail.

message 2618: by Zack (new)

Zack yup, although the only thing I've received handwritten lately is postcards.

TPBM would do anything for love, but they won't do that

message 2619: by [deleted user] (new)

What exactly is that? Lol now I have to get this song out of my head.

Yes, I do most of the things out of love. It is a motivation, usually.

TPBM thinks that olive oil adds flavor to certain dishes.

message 2620: by M (new)

M | 11617 comments Not at 8 a.m. I’ll have three fried eggs, several sausage links, two helpings of hash browns, and a couple of biscuits loaded with butter. And ketchup and Tabasco sauce, of course.

TPBM likes to eat at greasy spoons.

message 2621: by Caitlan (new)

Caitlan (lionesserampant) | 2869 comments Is that a restaurant? I have no idea. Lol.

TPBM like to watch Merlin, all day, every day. (Or just likes to watch Merlin, I'm not picky.)

message 2622: by Kyra (new)

Kyra (Nikara) | 1221 comments Well, I certainly like watching Merlin. Maybe not all day, but I can definitely watch it for quite a while.

TPBM prefers real books to electronic ones.

message 2623: by M (new)

M | 11617 comments No. Fiction isn’t something I consider sacred.

As a child, TPBM had one of the old Spirographs.

message 2624: by Zack (new)

Zack Yup, passed down to me from my father, along with his science kit.

TPBM loves fried chicken gizzards but hates liver

message 2625: by M (last edited Jun 13, 2013 05:12PM) (new)

M | 11617 comments I kept a diary for years, in a shorthand no one can read but me, so there was no reason not to update it while others were around, or not to leave it out where people could see it. Does that count?

TPBM has set his drink down somewhere, and wherever he set it down, it isn’t where he is.

message 2626: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments No. I have a tendency to be where I set my drinks.

TPBM tends to take over an hour to drink a single cup of coffee.

message 2627: by Zack (new)

Zack Usually starting another pot by then.

TPBM makes their coffee anyway excluding the automatic drip machines

message 2628: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments No, use the drip, but also French press. Prefer espresso machine, though, to make Americanos.

message 2630: by Christa VG (new)

Christa VG (christa-ronpaul2012) I have but not for a few years, so I guess no.

TPBM has a habit of misreading important words which then go on to completely change the meaning of what they were reading in the first place??

message 2631: by Caitlan (new)

Caitlan (lionesserampant) | 2869 comments I don't have an old rubber chicken, sooooooo...

TPBM is in the middle of reading a great book.

message 2632: by M (new)

M | 11617 comments I am His Highness' dog at Kew.

TPBM takes something along to read while at weddings, and finds horror to be a genre that goes well with them. It seems like comedy in contrast to the proceedings.

message 2633: by [deleted user] (new)

(Lol @3667)

None of that.

TPBM wants to sleep all day.

message 2634: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments No. I tried it once and found it exhausting.

TPBM wants to take a chainsaw to the rubber chicken clan, the whole damn pack of them!

message 2635: by [deleted user] (new)

Lol! No, I don't have anything against the rubber chicken.

TPBM feels relieved that a busy week is almost over and looks forward to a year-long vacation.

message 2636: by Kyra (new)

Kyra (Nikara) | 1221 comments Yes!! I always puzzled my parents, who are single-book readers. They can't seem to figure out how I can keep track of three (or usually more) plot lines in my head at once.

TPBM is craving creme brûlée for no apparent reason.

message 2637: by Kyra (new)

Kyra (Nikara) | 1221 comments (Oh. I'm the opposite. I can keep track of multiple fictional plots, but I need to power through non-fiction books or I lose my place.)

message 2639: by Kyra (new)

Kyra (Nikara) | 1221 comments Um... one moment...

TPBM is ashamed at having to look up "tauntaun fetish" right now...

message 2640: by Kyra (new)

Kyra (Nikara) | 1221 comments (And, Google and the Dictionary app are no help whatsoever. What is a tauntaun fetish?)

message 2641: by [deleted user] (new)

according to Starwars.com

Tauntauns are a species of snow lizard found roaming the windswept snow plains of Hoth. The Rebel Alliance domesticated the swift creature during their stay on the ice planet, and used the animals for patrol duties outside Echo Base. The animals came in useful as the Rebel technicians had difficulty adapting their repulsorlift speeders to the subzero temperatures. Though tauntauns are sure-footed and well equipped to handle Hoth's daytime temperature, the chilling extremes of a Hoth night will prove deadly.

I don't have.

TPBM thinks that Belly has a tauntaun fetish.

message 2642: by Kyra (new)

Kyra (Nikara) | 1221 comments O-o-oh. Now I get it. It's been forever since I last saw Star Wars... but yeah, I know what you're talking about now. XD

And, yes, I do think Belly has one.

TPBM wishes they had both the patience and the time of day to bang out a short story for this week.

message 2643: by Zack (last edited Jun 14, 2013 08:10PM) (new)

Zack Nope, some things are better left up to the imagination.

TPBM will never look at a lizard the same way again
