Belly, that is such a torture. I still remember your haiku about coffee with a roach in it.

No to both hehe

TPBM has forgotten what he/she is supposed to write here.

message 2802: by M (new)

M | 11617 comments Yes. All I can think of is “having given His only begoaten Son . . .”

TPBM thinks it’s interesting that Leslie writes in English as fluently as though it were her native language, yet doesn’t talk much in English. (Someday I’m going to write fluently in French, yet I have no interest in speaking it.)

message 2803: by Christa VG (new)

Christa VG (christa-ronpaul2012) I am fascinated by it. (Leslie I only speak English and I never get as much grammar correct as you manage to do.)

TPBM thinks chocolate is better with caramel?

message 2804: by M (new)

M | 11617 comments Of course, and now I really want some!

TPBM is exercising all the willpower at TPBM’s disposal not to go to the refigerator and see what looks good to snack on.

message 2805: by M (new)

M | 11617 comments Yes. Some usually means several handfuls.

TPBM likes more than one olive in a martini.

message 2806: by [deleted user] (new)

Honestly, I don't know what martini tastes like. I love olives.

You are all wonderful :)

TPBM likes peanuts more than almonds.

message 2807: by M (last edited Jun 27, 2013 06:49PM) (new)

M | 11617 comments (Cough. Cough. Cough. Cough. Cough.)

I do like peanuts, but I love smoked almonds.

TPBM will taste one of the closest things to heaven when she has a martini with half a shot of Noilly Prat and capful of olive juice.

message 2808: by [deleted user] (last edited Jun 27, 2013 07:05PM) (new)

why do i think that mixing drinks seems complicated?

TPBM likes to try yoga.

message 2809: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments I have no idea what a corn hole is. Is it what's left after a herd of goats eats through a corn field?

TPBM knows what a worm hole is.

message 2810: by Zack (new)

Zack No, my robots name is io-ta.

TPBM has a vehicle that runs on bio-diesel.

message 2811: by [deleted user] (new)

Belly, I seem to think that everything you write here has something to do with goats :P

Would I dare? I might be too frightened to do anything.

TPBM had experienced dropping something into a toilet bowl.

message 2812: by Guy (last edited Jun 27, 2013 10:50PM) (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Tell me it isn't so! You didn't lose your smart phone there! [LOL.]
On Monday, I couldn't believe my ears when, just like in a sit-com, some guy in the washroom is sitting on the can talking on his phone. OMG yuch!

Sadly, yes. That was a real lesson in keeping the toilet seat down.

TPBM finds cleaning the bathroom to be a soothing and satisfying exercise.

message 2813: by [deleted user] (last edited Jun 27, 2013 11:11PM) (new)

No, I didn't lol! I don't use/bring my phone inside the bathroom.

Yes :))

TPBM is craving for a mango shake.

message 2814: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments No, but now that you mention it! I've cut up a mango and squeezed a lime over it. It is so SO good. Sadly, the mangos we get here are often not very good.

TPBM is falling asleep at their keyboard.

message 2815: by [deleted user] (last edited Jun 28, 2013 12:34AM) (new)

Did you? lol

Goodnight Guy!

No, too early for bedtime :)

TPBM will shut down his/her laptop/computer before s/he falls asleep at their keyboard.

message 2816: by Zack (last edited Jun 27, 2013 11:25PM) (new)

Zack nope.

TPBM is thinking about how a rumba type machine that cuts the grass would help to maximize the fun to chore ratio of their lives(patent pending).

message 2817: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments No. iPOD already invented.

TPBM is concerned, tonight, about a friend's well being.

message 2818: by [deleted user] (new)

Not just tonight. I am concerned about a bunch of friends for different reasons.

TPBM most of the time, finds Leslie weird.

message 2819: by M (new)

M | 11617 comments No. Leslie is refreshingly normal!

TPBM has an interest in watches made for scuba diving.

message 2820: by [deleted user] (last edited Jun 28, 2013 05:14AM) (new)

I don't know yet, I'm not sure. I haven't thought about it..

TPBM is looking for a good book to read.

message 2821: by M (new)

M | 11617 comments No. I have a backlog of several hundred.

TPBM would like to be able to read more quickly and effectively.

message 2822: by [deleted user] (new)

Yes.

TPBM likes wearing hats/caps

message 2823: by M (new)

M | 11617 comments In general, no, but I wear a bucket hat when I’m working in the yard.

TPBM wonders how Friday got here so quickly.

message 2824: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Is it Friday already? OMG I'm late for it.

TPBM has a friend with a genuine beaver skin fedora.

message 2825: by Christa VG (new)

Christa VG (christa-ronpaul2012) Hahaha, no.

TPBM watches House?

message 2826: by Christa VG (new)

Christa VG (christa-ronpaul2012) Ewww, no. I like them caramelized.

TPBM washes dishes?

message 2827: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Just finished! Nice meditative activity.

TPBM dries dishes.

message 2828: by M (new)

M | 11617 comments (Belly, you don’t watch television? I thought I was the only one who doesn’t!)

No. I put them on a wooden drying rack.

TPBM will probably visit a bookstore today.

message 2829: by Kyra (new)

Kyra (Nikara) | 1221 comments Hm... if I don't realize it, how can I respond truthfully?

TPBM probably spends too much time on the computer. (Most of that time is spent writing and on Goodreads, but computers are computers...

message 2830: by M (new)

M | 11617 comments I’ve become a depraved addict of GR. I turn on the computer first thing when I get up, and turn it off last thing before I go to bed.

TPBM has a story idea for this week’s contest.

message 2831: by C. J., Cool yet firm like ice (new)

C. J. Scurria (goodreadscomcj_scurria) | 4485 comments I probably did that the day before the 26th. I now want to make some coffee soon! Maybe ice coffee :D

TPBM is wondering where the day has gone. (morning anyway)

message 2832: by Guy (last edited Jun 29, 2013 09:35AM) (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments No, my morning has a couple of hours left in it.

TPBM would like to not watch TV, but s/he finds the quality of the writing of off network TV is so astonishingly good that s/he hasn't given it up yet.

message 2833: by C. J., Cool yet firm like ice (new)

C. J. Scurria (goodreadscomcj_scurria) | 4485 comments That is true more or less for me. Some of the great shows out there even on regular tv I have decided not to watch because of the high violent content (I liked The Following but the last episode I watched got way too under my skin).

TPBM doesn't like the Following, Hannibal, Bates Motel competitive shows that are out there now.

message 2834: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments By my own iconoclastic definitions of 'good' and 'like', yes. But that is not likely in any way how the general population would see it.

Belly, have you tried Game of Thrones?

TPBM has come to the realization that what is broadcast as 'news' has less truth in it than good fiction.

message 2835: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments No, but the nuance and quality of the series has me thinking I may be giving it a try. Well, after I've read some of my backlog. (I didn't have much trouble following, although I'd heard that others did.)

TPBM finds the darkness and complexity of the writing and acting in the series 'The Killing' is enough to compensate for the occasional credibility gaps.

message 2836: by Zack (last edited Jun 29, 2013 08:06PM) (new)

Zack Can't say that I have as I've never seen the show.

TPBM still double spaces after a period even though, technically, is incorrect(Unless using an older typewriter or font that is mono-spaced ((courier)).

message 2837: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments No, it took a great deal of effort, but have managed to break that habit. (I didn't know that about the mono-spaced fonts. Thanks for the tip!)

TPBM is looking forward to writing a letter, tomorrow, using pen and paper.

message 2838: by M (new)

M | 11617 comments I haven’t written a letter by hand in years. I suppose I could still do it, but there would have to be an awfully good reason.

TPBM wishes Microsoft would make an uncomplicated word processor for people who know how to write and who use a word processor merely as a glorified typewriter.

message 2839: by [deleted user] (new)

Yes.

TPBM is likely to be reminded of M whenever Emily Blunt appears on TV.

message 2840: by M (new)

M | 11617 comments Emily? (Swoon.)

TPBM hasn’t recovered sufficiently from an Emily-induced swoon to post a TPBM.

message 2841: by [deleted user] (new)

Lol! I saw her on HBO (Salmon fishing in the Yemen)

TPBM can't imagine M swooning haha

message 2842: by M (new)

M | 11617 comments I don’t think I ever have, but I’m willing to try anything for Sarah Michelle. I mean, uhm, Julianne. I mean, uhm, Emily. (I’m doomed! Emily will discover that I’ve worshipped false goddesses.)

TPBM is having a relaxing weekend.

message 2843: by [deleted user] (new)

That explains why you know Sarah's type!

Not quite relaxing when I have to entertain my mother-in-law who's in town and to run errands for my mother whose birthday is tomorrow.

TPBM's least favorite month is July.

message 2844: by Jocelyn (new)

Jocelyn (joc113) Yup. Ther's nothing to do except study Spanish and learn songs for HS choir. Bor-ing...

TPBM is dying of heat and humidity.

message 2845: by M (new)

M | 11617 comments Not that I’m complaining, but I’ll be glad when fall gets here.

TPBM is still trying to come up with a story for this week.

message 2846: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments No, but I still haven't found space in my writing day to put it down into my plain text editor, which I find allows me to avoid the pains of Word.

TPBM will be having having roast lamb sandwiches for lunch, today, while brainstorming his/her story idea.

message 2847: by C. J., Cool yet firm like ice (new)

C. J. Scurria (goodreadscomcj_scurria) | 4485 comments Nope having some leftover baked ziti for lunchtime. And that is true Guy that what is broadcast as 'news' has less truth in it than good fiction. I hear that important events that are happening in my country the USA could mostly be found on foreign news websites because the media is so chopped down and exclusive to what they report and not much stuff can be heard about locally on news networks.

By the way...

TPBM hopefully has good foreign news website links that have articles in English for TPA him or her. :)

message 2848: by M (new)

M | 11617 comments Unfortunately, no. I tell people that I’m not into reading fiction, but it isn’t true. I read Associated Press articles.

TPBM has a shortwave radio.

message 2849: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Yes, through my wife's father. I haven't turned it on in ages.

TPBM is listening to a radio station that is playing the old pop standards of sixty years ago.

message 2850: by M (last edited Jun 30, 2013 03:22PM) (new)

M | 11617 comments No. I haven’t listened to the radio in quite a while. Sixty years ago, Percy Faith’s “The Song from Moulin Rouge” was popular, Perry Como’s “No Other Love,” Doris Day’s “Secret Love.” Those are records I’ve turned many a time.

TPBM has a frozen dinner in the oven, and the aroma of the cheese enchiladas, of the rice, the refried beans, is almost maddening.
