message 2501: by Zack (new)

Zack People are people, why bother being annoyed.

TPBM wants to organize a water balloon fight, block party style.

message 2502: by [deleted user] (new)

Haha Probably.

TPBM checks his/her email every minute.

message 2503: by Zack (new)

Zack My email checks me. Text and email notifications have forced me to keep my phone set to silent.

TPBM isn't scared of clowns, but finds them exceptionally annoying

message 2504: by M (new)

M | 11617 comments The entire concept of clowns makes no sense to me. The same with showmanship, slapstick comedy, and magic tricks.

TPBM is glad to have a coffee pot. It’s cheaper than a Nordic Track.

message 2505: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Yes I am and yes it is.

TPBM is surprised at home many scarcely used exercise machines make it into the dump.

message 2506: by M (new)

M | 11617 comments The most exercise you get out of one of those things is taking it out to the garbage.

TPBM likes red grapefruit.

message 2507: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Caligula? I suspect I would, but haven't made it to them yet. So many books, so little time.

TPBM was delighted by the playfulness of language and the puns that infuse Umbeto Eco's Foucault's Pendulum.

message 2508: by [deleted user] (new)

I haven't read that one. It seems an interesting book based on the reviews.

TPBM doesn't like watching gory horror movies.

message 2509: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments True, but not because of the gore. They are just about the most boring film genre on the planet.

TPBM likes watching foreign language films.

message 2510: by [deleted user] (new)

Since english is a foreign language for me, yes I do. But I do watch other foreign films, though not most of the time. I get hooked reading the subtitles.

TPBM has watched A Quiet Day in Belfast.

message 2511: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments I haven't.

However, the person below me has watched 'Breaking the Waves'

message 2512: by [deleted user] (new)

Not yet.

TPBM is reading a book while watching a movie.

message 2513: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Never. It has always struck me as a particularly odd thing to lose.

TPBM can't find a book they want to cite something from.

message 2514: by Kyra (new)

Kyra (Nikara) | 1221 comments Well, at the moment I have nothing I want to cite. If I did, though, I'm certain I'd have the same problem. I have too many books to keep track of all of them at once.

TPBM is frustrated, having finally run out of room on her bookshelf, right when the summer book sales are about to start.

message 2515: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Well, once I've completed the sex change operation that is very true. And I just bought another one.

TPBM prefers to hunt for used books than new books.

message 2516: by [deleted user] (new)

Lol!

True.

TPBM has more non-fiction books in his/her bookshelf.

message 2517: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Nope. Probably about equal fiction/non-fiction. Of course, Jungian psychology is a kind of fiction, so then that might tip it towards fiction.

TPBM single greatest book find was in the 'to be destroyed/returned stack' from their local independent book store.

message 2518: by [deleted user] (new)

No lol

TPBM has read/will read The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People.

message 2519: by C. J., Cool yet firm like ice (new)

C. J. Scurria (goodreadscomcj_scurria) | 4485 comments I don't see it often enough to find it irritating... yet.

TPBM's heart melts when they hear the word "books." Ahhh. :P

message 2520: by Guy (last edited Jun 08, 2013 04:00PM) (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments ((@ Leslie 3504 I am in the habit of thinking that effective people are highly overrated and even worse that whatever makes them effective will not be found in their habits. I suspect that doing things like hanging around the WSS would be excluded from life for most of these kinds of people because the concept of 'effective' delimits the purpose of life to material achievement. And that is perhaps the least interesting thing in life to live for.))

No, because books have now become too fully infused into my bloodstream.

TPBM finds people who are focused solely on job advancement to be very boring.

message 2521: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Yes, I have never wanted a pony.

TPBM would like to be able to emulate the dog whisperer.

message 2522: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments LoL! Yes! But in the end all you'd have is money and not undying friendship.

No.

TPBM has studied mathematics in university.

message 2523: by Kyra (new)

Kyra (Nikara) | 1221 comments No... I very rarely read comic books.

TPBM just realized that they would probably test as clinically crazy, if anyone bothered to take the time to test them.

message 2524: by Caitlan (new)

Caitlan (lionesserampant) | 2869 comments Well, I didn't just realize it. LOL. I knew that a long time ago.

TPBM is watching Scooby Doo.

message 2525: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments LOL! No. I'm reading about TPBM who might be.

TPBM is just starting their story for Raven.

message 2526: by C. J., Cool yet firm like ice (new)

C. J. Scurria (goodreadscomcj_scurria) | 4485 comments Just finished. I am glad I got it done now and not have to do it later which probably would not have happened!

TPBM likes comic books but wouldn't consider their self a "snob." :P hehe.

message 2527: by Zack (new)

Zack Nope.

TPBM likes to break out cards and boardgames on rainy days. (books too)

message 2528: by Kyra (new)

Kyra (Nikara) | 1221 comments Oh, absolutely!!! That's my ideal rainy day, right there. (That, with some peppermint tea, and I'm set.)

TPBM loves banana bread.

message 2529: by Zack (new)

Zack love is an understatement.

TPBM has a raspberry pi

message 2530: by Kyra (new)

Kyra (Nikara) | 1221 comments Sadly, no.

TPBM wishes they had a raspberry pie...

message 2531: by C. J., Cool yet firm like ice (new)

C. J. Scurria (goodreadscomcj_scurria) | 4485 comments Yes though I have raspberry sherbet that will do just nicely.
And I LOVE banana bread!

TPBM was so glad desserts were invented! :D

message 2532: by Kyra (new)

Kyra (Nikara) | 1221 comments Oh God, yes!!! I could not survive without deserts. Especially ones with chocolate in them. XD

TPBM is never sick of eating chocolate deserts.

message 2533: by Zack (new)

Zack Never. I do get sick of having to ruin then of at the gym though.

one of TPBM's favorite deserts its a chocolate fudge filled brownie with chocolate ice cream and chocolate syrup topped with chocolate chips

message 2534: by Zack (new)

Zack Run them off*

message 2535: by Kyra (new)

Kyra (Nikara) | 1221 comments (Salivating) That sounds absolutely amazing!!! God, I want one now...

TPBM is making cookies right now, which will probably get ruined again... XD

message 2536: by Caitlan (new)

Caitlan (lionesserampant) | 2869 comments Not right this second. Just got done making cookies, actually. (they burned a bit)

TPBM's favorite dessert is any kind of pie, except for pumpkin pie.

message 2537: by M (new)

M | 11617 comments No. I’m not much on sweets.

TPBM finds it interesting to see actors from the Harry Potter movies in other things. (This weekend, I watched an awful British movie that had Imelda Staunton in it.)

message 2538: by M (new)

M | 11617 comments I go through times like that, usually when there’s so much to be done, it seems hopeless. Then, to get anything accomplished, I have to prioritize and break things down into small, manageable steps.

TPBM is already on a second cup of coffee.

message 2539: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Still finishing first. With a blueberry foccacia, for breakfast.

TPBM makes their own blueberry scones.

message 2540: by Kyra (new)

Kyra (Nikara) | 1221 comments ...No...?

TPBM has NOT shaved a grizzly bear (but is interested to hear about Belly's experience).

message 2541: by Christa VG (new)

Christa VG (christa-ronpaul2012) I have not (yet) and am very interested to hear Belly's tale.

TPBM thought Lance Armstrong was the one who landed on the moon?

message 2542: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Actually, I thought he was from the moon.

TPBM thinks that the moon as a metaphor for anything is at best ambivalent.

message 2543: by M (last edited Jun 10, 2013 03:08PM) (new)

M | 11617 comments Having made a moon landing or two myself, I’m not surprised to find out that DJ Lance (whoever he may be) has made one.

TPBM likes olives stuffed with garlic.

message 2544: by M (new)

M | 11617 comments Has the person above me had many positive experiences along those lines?

TPBM is ready for a long cocktail hour.

message 2545: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments No, I like my hours to be no more than 60 minutes, tops.

TPBM has had several interesting conversations and at least one meaningful relationship that has developed out of a book s/he was reading while on a commuter bus or train.

message 2546: by Zack (last edited Jun 10, 2013 04:38PM) (new)

Zack Don't ride the bus, and the train was too bumpy to read.
M, I'm definitely ready for an extended happy hour, CHEERS!

TPBM is going to set their phone to silent, and enjoy the rest of their night uninhibited from any more calls from work

message 2547: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments ((Zack, you can edit your posts - just click on the edit button upper right side of the post you want to edit. You can only edit your own posts.))

Yes, but then no one calls me so it seems anti-climactic

TPBM is getting ready to do yoga.

message 2548: by Zack (last edited Jun 10, 2013 04:41PM) (new)

Zack I know guy, was on my phone ...editing is unavailable within the goodreads app.

message 2549: by Zack (new)

Zack Nope, gearing down from dinner, then gearing up for a beer or twenty. Yoga's not my thing.

TPBM is looking forward to some specialty craft brews they have been saving for an especially rough Monday.

message 2550: by M (new)

M | 11617 comments How I wish!

Some days, TPBM needs time to unwind.
