HEIDI I: It got unbelievably interesting around pg 250 and now I can't put it down! Are the second & third books even better?

Book 2 is the best IMO.

Yay!
Yay!
I am currently reading The Year Of Secret Assignments. Though I am not reading it with that cover. For some reason our Canadian library only has the Australian cover, so I am reading Finding Cassie Crazy. I did my research, though, and they are the same books. I've been bad, though. The only reason I am reading this is because my other two books were boring (A Tree Grows in Brooklyn and The Opposite of Chocolate)

I LOVE Year of Secret Assignments! Emily is such a kook. I am actually listening to Jaclyn's newest book Ghosts of Ashbury High right now on audio and like it so far.
I liked Looking for Alibrandi. It is not my favorite by the author, (Jellicoe Road wins hands down), but it was still a really good book.

Heyyyy everyone! I haven't checked this group in ages. I have no idea why. College apps, I guess.
Anyway, right now I am reading ...
It's … ehhhh … so far. I didn't have very high expectations, though. :/
I also started
but I've only read like ten pages so far. :)

Brigid... that's how i felt about The Scorch Trials too. I have a feeling book #3 will either be mind-blowingly awesome or just another let-down. I'm hopeful though.
Yeahhh, right now the plot's not making much logical sense to me. Plus I don't really like the main character. Ah, well. I'll see if Scorch Trials gets any better … but even if it doesn't I'll probably read the third just to find out what happens. This happens to me with a lot of series. haha. :)

I know the feeling. I'm right there with you regarding this series. Good thing there's only one more left. Still, I can't say that I'm overly excited to read it, but I'm sure I will.

BLUEMOONUmmm, actually the first one isn't that great either. IMO. It's extremely confusing. I'll keep reading, but I think there are other books out there for you to read and enjoy (like Mockingjay). I gave both Maze Runner books a 3 star rating. My reviews are spoiler free if you're interested. I think the author does a good enough job of keeping things going, but it's just... IDK weird and confusing with little to no resolution. Some people really liked it. I did not, and this from a girl who loves dystopia. I want some sort of resolution from this series!!! I just want to know what on earth is happening (as do the characters). I'm hoping to find out in the third book so that it will all make sense.
I would recommend a dystopian trilogy where all three books are already out ( Like IDK... The Hunger Games). I especially think it's a good idea for you to finish a series (*cough* Hunger Games) that you've already started. I mean if you're already two books in it just makes sense to finish the series (Mockingjay) right???
lol... Can you guess which book I strongly encourage you to read?? :) Hehe.
I've been drowning in college apps too but with there being only one supplement left to write, I'm hoping to get back into reading a loooot :)
I've been reading this on and off but I really love the writing and the narrator and the setting :) Can't wait to get further into the story!
Uh. I really loathe Nora right now cause I think she's too stupid to live arghhh
I have a feeling this is going to be very good but I'm about 150 pages in so far and it's still going at a rather slow pace.

I agree … The Maze Runner books are really confusing, and pretty much nothing is ever resolved/explained. Also, the writing really gets on my nerves. There are sooo many fragments, and so much telling instead of showing. It's like, "He was scared. Really scared." … Like, seriously?

I've only ever read THE MAZE RUNNER so far but I do have THE SCORCH TRIALS on my shelves. But I don't know if I'm going to read it or not based on the mostly negative reviews I've been seeing around!

Boo!
Boo!
Bluemoon: Personally I really liked The Iron King but then the sequel really annoyed me. Too much Twilight-esque angst lurking about!
Bluemoon- Bloody Jack is amazing on audio. I am about to start the 3rd book in the series and I can't wait! Though I'm starting to think the narrator is what makes the books so good. I've heard from a few that are just reading it that they couldn't get into it or they didn't like it all that much.I just started
. Only about 15 pages in but I really like it so far!

Wow, better than Percy?? I am not as familiar with Egyptian mythology as I am Greek mythology so I don't know if that will be the case for me, but who knows!

Heidi I wrote: "The Help is amazing! Super excited you are reading Harry Potter!"
It is! :) And yeahhh, FINALLY. lol. I'm still only about halfway through the first book, though. I keep getting distracted from my reading.

I've heard very mixed things about Iron King ... I was intending to read it, but now I'm not sure if it would really be my thing. Hrrrmmm.
I love Uglies though!

Hmm, I'm not really either. Maybe I'll skip it. XD
I love the world-building in Uglies. Like, come on, who doesn't want a hoverboard?! The first book is a little slow starting out but they get more exciting :D

Not that it's YA but I just finished
today. I got sucked right into this series and I feel I must read them until I get through all the ones that are out.
It is not the "best series ever" but it is very entertaining and quick to read, which is right up my alley while I'm in school.
