I finished reading A Life For A Life - Tim Ellis and now I am going to embark on reading Road Closed - Leigh Russell.
Just finished Finding Poe and really enjoyed it, also read Clown in the Moonlight. Not sure what to read next.

I will vouch that the whole series is just fantastic. So was
. Brilliant.
Plan for November:Road Closed - Leigh Russell
Silent Witness - Rebecca Forster
Chasing Amanda - Melissa Foster
Priced to Move - Ginny Aiken
Nightfall - Stephen Leather
Revelation - M.J. Mancini
The Trafficked - Lee Weeks
The Tiger's Wife - Téa Obreht
I've just finished Road Closed - Leigh Russell and now thinking of reading Chasing Amanda - Melissa Foster.
I'm just reading Schwarze Piste and like it as much as the 3 previous books I've read from the same author. Only available in German so far.
I've finished reading
by Kate Morton today. I thought it was beautifully written with just enough twists and turns to keep the reader interested. It was obviously very well researched - I loved the WW2 bits. Those scenes were so vivid that I felt I was actually there! I found the pace of the novel, especially in the first half, to be rather slow. I thought the author spent too much time describing the various settings in the novel. It got really tiresome in places but the pace does pick up again in the second half. I loved the ending! The twist at the end completely surprised me. I wasn't expecting that! I'm usually quite good at predicting what's going to happen next in novels but that twist was a huge surprise! http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/...
Now I'm a couple of chapters into
by Karen Kingsbury.
Awesome series! I can't wait for the final book to come out in January.
Lloyd wrote: "I will vouch that the whole series (Chaos Walking) is just fantastic. So was A Monster Calls. Brilliant."My friend who loves the Chaos Walking series also really enjoyed A Monster Calls. I actually checked it out from the library a while back, but I didn't have enough time to read it. I'll have to check it out again.
I finished reading
by Karen Kingsbury last night and I really disappointed with it. The plot was very predictable, irritatingly repetitive, contrived and not very well-written. The concept of the story was interesting but the author is not a good enough writer to pull it off. This novel was simply too formulaic, too sweet, too predictable, too simplistic, too everything I don't like. The entire novel had that 'la-la-land' feel to it. Today I've started reading
by Stef Penney.
Edit your comment containing the list. Add < s > in front of the name of the book and < /s > after it, without the spaces of course.
Just finished The Swerve: How the World Became Modern -- enjoyable and enlightening history of a specific aspect of the Renaissance. Now reading The Perfect Hope, third installment of Norah Roberts' Inn at Boonsboro trilogy, and Twilight of the Elites: America After Meritocracy by Chris Hayes, one of my favorite political commentors.
The Count of Monte Cristo - I red his fantastic work "The Three Musketeers" and now I dive into another of his famous novels I've tried to read before. You ever want a fantastic classic author look no further than Alexander Dumas. Not to mention this is nearly 1000 pages for $1 and it's light as a feather on my kindle. God I love e-books!

God I love e-books..."I LOVED The Count of Monte Cristo. Our book club chose it for this past September. I was skeptical at first because it's so long, but it keeps you engaged almost the entire time. I switched between reading on my Kindle and listening to the CD in the car (John Lee narrated). It's now on my all-time favorites list.
I haven't read The Three Musketeers yet, but I did get the free Kindle book and Audible book during their "hey, we sync" promotion when Whispersync was announced. If it's anything like TCOM, I expect to enjoy it.
Is going to read Howl - Annalise Grey (*whispers the next few words "on her kindle" as it's been playing up nearly a week since it arrived*)
I'm currently reading
, but this may be my last. I've adored this series from the beginning but the last 3 or 4 seemed like she phoned them in and yeah, I'm tired of waiting for her to choose Joe or Ranger. I mean, come on, it's been twenty years!
Finished UndeniablelOVED IT, read it 3 times before moving on to My Favorite Mistake which I'm 25% into and so far it's okay.
Just finished Howl - Annalise Grey which I found very good. Now I am about to make a start on The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo - Stieg Larsson.
I finished reading
by Stef Penney this evening. Overall, I thought the novel was an interesting and mostly enjoyable read. There were some problems with it (not surprising in a debut novel), the plot became slow and tedious at times, there were too many characters - it was very hard to keep track of them all - and the author wrote all of her characters in the first person so sometimes it wasn't clear which character was doing the talking! I had to go back and re-read multiple chapters to figure out what was happening in the story, which was very annoying! The ending was very sudden. It came out of nowhere and it left too many storylines unresolved. I was left wondering WHERE is the rest of the story??? My full review is here: http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/...
Next I'm going to start
by S.E. Hinton.
I have just finished "Never Dead" by R.J Jagger. Suffice to say, do NOT waste valuable Kindle space or your precious time on this really really disappointing book. The story dragged me along in the faint hope that the outcome would reward my labors. Alas I was wrong, it had the weakest and most contrived denouement that I have ever come across.
I started Six Geese A-Laying - Sophie Kinsella yesterday and finished it this morning. Didn't think much of the storyline.
Reading Spending the Holidays with People I Want to Punch in the Throat. It is hilarious and sarcastic...right up my alley! And, you get to go back to the late 70's and 80's remembering your own memories of the past. Fast read too~
Zypheria's call, second installment of a delightful fantasy series about an ordinary middle-aged herb woman who seems to be developing strange powers at the same time she is entering menopause. I really enjoyed the first book and expect this one to be just as good.
I finished reading
by S.E. Hinton last night. This was my first time reading The Outsiders. I never managed to get around to reading it as a teenager but I've heard so many people say it is one of their favourite books so I thought it was about time that I read it finally. And now that I've finished the book I can't believe I waited so long! The Outsiders is a gripping and compelling read which is full of suspense. It was also extremely heart-breaking and touching at times. The novel is very well-written, considering S.E. Hinton was just seventeen years old when she wrote it. I was amazed with the amount of depth and layers in this book. It really is wonderful. Five stars! My full review is here: http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/...
Today I've started reading
by Charlotte Rogan.
This morning I finished Merry Christmas, Alex Cross - James Patterson. Now I am going to read Witchy, Witchy - Penelope King.
Last night I finished Mistletoe And Magic - Gina Ardito. I started A Cleansing of Souls - Stuart Ayris last night.
I'm ploughing through The Man From U.N.D.E.A.D. - Do Dragons Dream Of Burning Sheep?, but for the most part I'm working my way through my immense paper TBR pile, which includes books I was given as gifts last Christmas...
Ive just read A Sick Work of Art and really didn't like it. It seemed really pointless, didn't really go anywhere and had no likeable characters.
