Is there gonna be another book in that series?..."I'm so glad you liked Curse the Dawn! And can we officially count you in Camp Pritkin?
Karen Chance has planned a total of 9 Cassie books and 5 Dory books. Unfortunately she had an health issue so the publishing date of Cassie #5 was set back to the summer of 2011 (in stead of 2010...the nerve!).
Anyway, to ease our pain she's posting short stories on her website every three months. She's going to write one for Francoise, Mircea and (probably) Louis-Cesare. She is now posting Pritkin's short and Marlowe's will be up next. In between she will be publishing a short for Dory. (Did you read the Tomas short?)
And Lynn: you're going to love Dory! I think I might even love her more than Cassie.
Dory is a bit more dark and cynical but she's engaging and funny. And Louis-Cesare is just yummy...
And you'll love the sequel Death's Mistress. It must be the funniest Chance book.

Thank you Annvelwis & Ahrcadia for your advice on Lilith Saintcrow.I might have to bite the bullet & read Jill Kismet though bc there is only one copy of Working for the Devil at the library (all others were weeded, dirty bastards) & i'm like number 5 on the list so I may not get it until after the challenge deadline.

LethalLovely wrote: "I feel you Cher.I'm thinking about nixing Goddess of Love by P. C. Cast bc the last book I read by her was such crap."Her House of Night series is ok. Some of the later books in the series really start to feel sluggish. And I highly recommend NOT reading her Divine series. Horrible!! The 1st book was just eh, but the other 2... omg it was like a root canal without novocaine! (I actually had to read all 3 of the Divine series for my paranormal bookclub, and I was the only 1 out of the 6 of us that read all 3. Such a waste of time!)

I found I was waiting throughout the entire book for something to actually happen, and when it finally did, it was the end. so now I'm torn between do I really want to see what happens, and do I really want to waste my time for something not to happen all over again. I recommend Hush Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick. I felt it was much more attention keeping and overall interesting. It's a stand-alone I believe so it wraps up nicely. Although if the author felt like making a sequel, she could work with it.

The story was sub-par, the characters weren't that interesting, and the language was atrocious. I hate the use of slang onstantly in my books. VERY annoying.

LMAO.The last book I read by her was a spin-off of the Divine series(goddess summoning i think) & i made a pretty bad comment about it on one of the threads.I think it was "Goddess of Spring by P. C. Cast.I though "ooh, sexy romance with Hades, lord of the Underworld" but it was so sickly sweet that I felt like I needed to check my glucose levels after reading it.Not to mention the sex scenes were so purply.I'm a grown ass woman.I can take explicit sexoring, not just "He fell on top of her & there was a rainbow explosion of ecstasy" fade into black."
So I'm more than likely gonna give up on her romances & stick with the not as bad "House of Night" series.

Oh don't take my word for it.I'm sure it appeals to some readers.I just like my romance smoking hot & sweaty; not bumping uglies through a hole in the sheet. You should definitely give Goddess of Spring a try & if u don't like it,you can always chuck it and move on.
