Isaam, I've got Shades of Grey in my TBR stack. I'm interested in what you think about it.

I can't seem to pick a good book these days - this new book I am reading is just... off. The perspective it's written from is weird... and the way the main character is described is just odd. One minute he's called one thing and then the next he's called something completely new and unexplained.

I'm gonna try my darndest to keep up with this and not change, but I don't know how easy it'l be.

It sounds promising, but I actually had to return it at the library. Sad tragedy of being an avid reader, I guess. I get far too carried away with all the books I borrow, that I can never read everything in time (life keeps getting in the way :P). I absolutely love this book. You can see that Jasper's writing has really improved from his previous "Thursday Next" series. This book manages to be funny and serious at the same time. I highly recommend that you read it.

I loved his Thursday Next books and started the Nursery Rhyme mysteries, but then put it aside for awhile. I still buy all his books though because I really think he's a fantastic clever writer. I'll have to move it to the top of my shelf Amy. Have you read his other books Issam? I think you'll enjoy them.

I have to admit that I didn't enjoy the Nursery Crime series as much as Thursday Next. I was also a little bit annoyed at the way the final Next book ended - but apparently that was because Fforde was rushed for time by his publisher.

Fortunately the publisher gave Fforde some extra time to write "Shades of Grey" so that it's polished off very nicely.

I'd love to hear what you think of "Shades of Grey" when you've read it.
