I think this profile needs work: Unknown.
Mostly German. Some NAB's and transfer to the 'official' Unknown-profile that you just made me aware of!

There are many "unknown" author profiles - to many to list them here. Are we just leaving them or shall I start a small clean-up?

Hi Rivka, I'd like to make an attempt. Have just some questions before I start this. Must be a drag for you to answer so many (probably many times the same..), I admire your patience!

I found the Sisyphus list and didn't see any Unknowns listed. There is a message (38) that has some "Author not stated". I thought I'd make an inventarisation of the Unkowns that I can find first - is there somewhere I can post them? And do they need to go to the list? Could work on them one by one, but that doesn't seem efficient.
And what if I want to work on some other author from the list - do I have to let you know that? (and how?)

Hope you can give me something to go with, thanks a lot!

I would just work your way through them, the easiest way I find authors, is to use a Add Author / Book Link (at the top of a comment box) search - There are a number of Unknown's out there

That's a caching issue. It's pretty easy to force the cache to reset (I can describe both methods), so I did so.

As far as Thomas Brothers go, I have never seen anything from them that was not a bound product that I can recall. And I own quite a few of theirs.

Christian Hermansen & Christian Hermansen Cordua are definitely the same person (a Norwegian architecture professor). Don't know which is the "proper" name but I suspect the one with Cordua on the end.

I'm finding a number of books listed under "George Eliot" that are really written by "George Elliott." To make it even more worse, I'm pretty sure there are at least two different George Elliots involved. One was a writer in the 60's, one writes recent children's books. I've been correcting the spellings, but I think there needs to be disambiguation.

I was updating records for a few Johanna Hailey books, and I noticed some of her books were listed under J.P. Hailey. I moved the books I was sure of. So at this point, I'm not sure if J.P. Hailey is an AKA or another author entirely.

You need to edit the Timothy J Frost author profile and replace the name with Timothy Frost, you will then get a screen asking which profile to keep. Select the Timothy Frost one

Or post here and one of the Librarians will do it for you
