Heart of Darkness was so-so. The first two stories by Showalter and Shayne were okay. The one by Krinard was terrible. I have a couple of her books and now I'm scared to read them, it was that bad.

So did you like Maurice? I have to finish it this month and it's been years since I first read it.

I did like it but I found parts of it confusing. I would've given it 4 stars if I understood it better. There were times were I didn't get what the author was saying because a word didn't seem to fit or it felt like he left things out. I'm not used to reading between the lines so much. I found it was clearer as the book went on.
I really liked the way it ends with Maurice talking to Clive and that's the last time he or Alec are heard from. I read a synopsis of the authors original epilogue online and I'm really glad he cut it. I think it would have ruined the ending for me.

I thought it was really good. I gave it 4 stars. It's a fast read and I found it really funny. I plan to read the next book soon. I can't wait to find ot what's going to happen next.

I read it a million years ago but remember the movie more. I still have to read it but keep putting it at the bottom of my March stack. I'll probably get to it in April.

I really enjoyed Kiss of Midnight. I've read 2 of her other books and then finally found this at a used book store. It didn't really spoil much for the other books or I'm trying to say the opposite - whatever :)
