Dang, I read a book by an author born in the same year as me last year! Too bad because I could have totally used it for the challenge ... 1982 is a hard year for books! Fortunately I found one that I actually have on my wishlist - The Girl with Glass Feet and it came out this month! Such a neat idea for the challenge Yz the Whyz. Very creative and fun.
Nichole wrote: "Um... I'm thinking anyone born in 1982 is screwed."I read The Hollow in October last year and enjoyed it. It's a bit long though. I'm probably going to read the book in my post before this.

I'm new so I'm not sure what the rules are... about the birth year one. I'm 1973, Stephanie Meyer and Carrie Vaughn. Problem is I've already read everything they have out. Vaughn has a new one coming, but not until March. So the question is, can I re-read a book and have it count? If not, any other suggestions for 1973?

lol, Wow! This is going to be a challenge! Something tells me there isn't going to be a whole lot of 20 year old authors. Thank goodness for you adding authors who died that year. xD
Laura wrote: "Yeah! DarkHeart's giving Cassie another chance. :)"LOL, I hope it doesn't count as a cheat as I'm still working on the first book. I've put it down so many times, but have promised Mel that I'd persevere. I don't think it's a fair reflection on the book, but more of me not being in the mood for the book. We shall see though... =)
I'm supposed to read Touch the Dark for January but I don't think I'm going to get to it. I think this has to be the 4th or 5th time I've stuck it in a challenge and not read it! Here's hoping I finally get to it and finish this challenge!1. Favorite Author: Embrace the Night Eternal by Joss Ware aka Colleen Gleason
2. New Author: Touch the Dark by Karen Chance

I wish more men would participate.I forgot who asked for a male author but, I just finished my first Jim Butcher, it was pretty good. Also I am currently reading Neil Gaiman's American gods. It is pretty good as well. For this challenge, I went with Christopher Pike. Good luck everyone!
I just googled authors born in 1967 and got Pamela Anderson. Really?! What did she write?? Anyway, pickins are slim for me finding a PNR writer born my year. Looks like I have to go with Poppy Z Brite. Wish there was someone better.

Don't feel bad. I had to buy some for my Kindle to do this challenge. I just hope I actually get to them.
I realized after a bought Hawksong by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes that the shifters actually appear in her previous series AND that both series are available in bundles. I spent 7 dollars on a book and now I have it twice. I feel dumb LOL. (the bundles were about 9 or 10 dollars. That's why I feel so dumb!) Guess I learned to do my research. Good news is I have both series now. Nine books I think for about 20 dollars so not bad. :) Well plus the 7 I wasted on a book I have twice. :-/ Luckily I can work some gifts from my bf into it so that saves me some money. I have no business even thinking about this challenge when I haven't finished 5 books for January yet LOL. Easily distracted!
Awesomevegan wrote: Don't feel bad...I know I shouldn't feel bad, but I made a New Years Resolution that I'd read more books than I buy each month and that's about to go out of the window!!!
I've read 5 so far and bought 6!!! I couldn't even make it through one month!!! Still, I didn't buy any in December. Guess that's what happens when you pre-order (*shakes fist at Amazon*), why do they have to re-issue the Anita Blake books with new covers? I never stood a chance!!!
I couldn't get organized enough to participate in the january challenge so this is really my first attempt. it's nice to incorporate a lot of things that I have around the house wanting to read anyway. I was lacking a few ideas so I looked at other people's lists and 'borrowed' a few ideas. Thanks!1. Favorite Author Charlaine Harris Dead until Dark
2. New Author Brian Meehl Suck it up (a vegan vampire!)
3. Second Chance Author- Mercedes Lackey The Serpent's shadow
4. Goodreads Author- Gail Carriger Soulless

Charlaine Harris, good choice! I am starting book 3 and hopefully book 4 before the end of this month.
Suck It Up... A vegan vampire? Awesome! I have to check that out! LOL I downloaded a free sample for my Kindle because I have been buying too many books!
