Clarina | 10 comments I wrote here sometime ago that I hadn't read "Girl Missing" yet and needed to reserve it from the library. So I eventually reserved and collected it a couple of weeks ago and started reading it just now (started the first page)...only to find out that I've read the whole book already! It's good though - one less book to read! (I've had 3 books lined up to read; just finished a really long one today, Girl Missing is the second one, and there's still one more to go!)

Voletta Russell (Vlish) | 3 comments hello I'm V from st. louis and obviously Tess Gerritsen is my favorite author. I had the pleasure of meeting her last year on September 6 when she came here on her book tour. She's a very pleasant woman who's a wonderful speaker. She told us about a new book she's writing which I can't wait to read!

Melissa | 2 comments Hello everyone, My name is Melissa and I'm an RN from Missouri. I love Tess' medical suspense and the Rizzoli and Isle books. Unfortunately, I have read everything she's written and am anxiously awaiting her next book. I would like to read some of her earliest novels but our library doesn't carry them. Can't wait to see what everyone thinks of Vanish. I loved it and read it in 2 days. :D

Hi & Welcome Melissa :-) I am currently reading Vanish for the fourth time. I think many of Tess's books are worth re-reading and Vanish is certainly one of my favorites. Have you tried using Inter-Library Loan to get early Tess Gerritsen books from other libraries? I do it all the time but some libraries are easier to work with than others. Ask your librarian - there might be hope after all :-)

message 268: by Melissa (new)

Melissa (emtmelissa) | 3 comments Hi Everyone...new to the group from Ct. I've been reading Tess Gerritsen for about 2 years now and I really enjoy the Rizzoli and Isles series. I'm into reading crime / murder mysteries, horror/ thriller, paranormal and books written by Kristin Hannah & Jodi Picoult. Looking forward to the book discussions & hearing from other members.

message 272: by Whit (new)

Whit | 8 comments Does anyone know when the next book in the series (#11) would likely be coming out? I read through the series rather fast now I'm rereading body double and plan to reread vanish. But I'm so anxious for a new R&I book! also does anyone recomend any of TG's other books? I read bone garden and LOVED it. Then I read harvest and that wasn't my favorite, it actually took me about a month to read it, I just couldn't get into it. So anyone who could help I would very much appreciate it!

:-) Gravity is the one that got the attention of Stephen King. Gravity and Bloodstream are good recommendations - I would recommend them over Life Support and Harvest.

I think in the Dare to Dream Group first. We are mutual friends with Kyle the Rebel Leader. I also saw you in the Ask Tess Gerritsen group when she was featured on goodreads a few months back.

Kimberly Brown | 3 comments Hi, my name is Kimmie. I'm new to hostess and this is my first group. When I discovered Tess Terrorism, I read harvest first and was hooked! I went to our local used book trading store (McKays's in Knoxville, TN) and bought every one I could find by her. I collect hard cover books and I only lack one to have her complete set. Being in the medical field, I found her books very easy to identify with and...wow, she's really good!! Thank you for having me in your group.

Kimberly Brown | 3 comments I tried to introduce myself and there were mistakes because of auto correct on my phone. I'm from Knoxville TN. I discovered Tess Gerrittsen and am new to goodreads. I started with harvest and went to our local book trading store and have collected all of her hard cover books except one. Being in the medical field, I am able to identify with her style and prose. Thank you for having me in your group

Tanith | 1 comments Hi, I just joined this group.
I only started reading suspense thrillers over the last fortnight, starting with Alicia Scott and should be done with all her books n the next few days. I've really employed all of Alicia's books and was wondering if Tess's books are similar.
Thanks

Welcome to the group Tanith. Sorry, it's taken two months for a response. I haven't read any books by Alicia Scott. I don't tend to branch out from my favorite authors very often. I hope you'll give Tess Gerritsen a try if you haven't already :-)

Sandysbookaday (taking a midwinter break) (sandyj21) I see there have been no comments in this group since 2010. I am new to Goodreads, and keen if anyone wishes to resurrect this group.

I find it hard to get excited about the group as Tess does not have any new books out and has not for quite a while now. We can definately add you as a moderator if you would be interested. New blood may just give us all the kick start we need.

No apologies required as I have also not been active in the group. Tess has a new book coming out in September/October I believe. Really wish she would put books out just a little faster as there has not been a new one since 2012. Maybe we can do some other things in this group other than just Tess. Will put my thinking cap on and let you know what I come up with.

message 292: by Mike (new)

Mike Thomas | 2 comments According to Amazon, Tess has a new Rizzoli and Isles book out on 1st Jan 2015, called Die Again. if you search, Rizzoli and Isles 11 on amazon you will get some details about the book, no cover, but a small synopsis of the story, sounds a good one.

Looking forward to it Mike. They have just screened the TV series based on her books in NZ, and while not as good as the books, it was still enjoyable.

Just keep things current, organized, and fun :-) I have spread myself too thin and just don't make it to this group unless I get a notification of activity like you set in motion. You can message me and/or Marla if you are interested.

Sandysbookaday (taking a midwinter break) (sandyj21) I am a publican in Te Kuiti in the North Island, New Zealand. I am a voracious reader and can't go to sleep, no matter how long the day has been, without reading a page or two. I always have 2 books in my handbag and a towering pile on my bedside table. My favourite authors are Stephen King, Tess Gerritson, Lianne Moriarty and Kate Atkinson. Currently reading "Every Breath She Takes" by Sheila Quigley.
