Welcome to the group Phyllis. I am finally going to try to read The Silent Girl because I was able to get the audiobook from the library. Going to pick it up tomorrow.

:-) Awesome! You're Welcome - Glad you found us Shirli! We are reading or re-reading Body Double right now and as Marla said will be reading In Their Footsteps beginning in January. Hope you'll consider joining us for one or both of those. I have not read In Their Footsteps yet so I'm excited for that.

I reside in Utah but I'm originally from San Antonio, Texas. I've been here off and on for about 20 years. This is home now and I love it but I'll always be a Texas girl. The mountains are beautiful, which makes for great camping/outdoor activities.
I was introduced to Tess's books by a friend recently and I can't seem to put them down. I'm reading The Sinner right now. I wish I could read every minute of the day, but I do my best. I'm excited to be a part of the group and look forward to making new friends.

Hi Emily :-) Thanks for joining us. Which part of Utah do you live in? I'm from St.George but now live in Colorful Colorado. Sounds like you keep yourself busy - glad you find time to read. I saw you like The Help & The Hunger Games from your profile - excellent books. The Help was a great movie & I'm excited for The Hunger Games movie.
In Their Footsteps is our next group read. We are just finishing up Body Double and some of us are reading Vanish next. If you finish The Sinner anytime soon, please feel welcome to join us for any our group reads.
Welcome to the Tess Gerritsen Fans Group :-)

I absolutely loved The Help and the movie was even better! I'm hoping to finish The Hunger Games before the movie comes out, but I can't seem to pick it up due to Tess's books. Not complaining that's for sure.
Looking forward to this group! Thanks again!

:-) Welcome to the group Katherine!!!! Hope you'll read some books with us when they're featured as group reads. We have an official group read every two months and we will also feature titles as "mini-group reads" if there are 3 or more group members interested in reading a particular title. In Our Footsteps is our Group Read for Jan-Feb and Vanish is a mini-group read during the month of January. Please feel welcome to join us in reading either or both of these titles or post in the Mini-Group Read Discussion thread if there's another title you're interested in reading :-) Thanks again for joining & we hope you like it here.

I have been reading Ms. Gerritson's books for a number of years. I love that she is from Maine. She writes books that are right up my ally! I love them!

Currently making my way through Tess Gerritsen’s Rizzoli & Isles series. Having finished The Surgeon last year, I put the series aside as I got distracted. Over the course of the last few days, I'm almost halfway through 'The Mephisto Club' after having gone on a reading spree (in part due to insomnia) over the last five days.
Yeah, I read 5 books in 5 days. Once you start, you can't stop! (Insomnia helps! ;-) )

I bet now you are retired you are wondering how you ever had time to work! ha!.
I have Body Double as my next read in the series & I'm looking forward to it once I get round to it (got a few others to read first).
We have similar tastes in authors judging by your list and I will now have a nosey at the ones I am not familiar with!.
Happy Easter and reading!.

Be warned if you check out my list I have rather eclectic tastes and I am a member of a book group and a couple of groups on here so you will find my reading genres varied.

I am just reading my Book clubs optional choice at the moment then I am itching to get back to some crime!.

For April we have Observation- Jane Harris (optional)
The Girl On Paper-Guillaume Musso (Main read) and last moths optional read I still want to get through is
Cold Earth- Sarah Moss.
Three great choices with a bit of crime but not gritty crime.

I have read some great books with mine and we have a lovely comfortable group, never any problema and quite often we chat about everything and anything! Lol!.
I am also a member of a few groups on here & want to get through there books too (Rizzoli & Isles, Patterson, Stuart MacBride etc... the list goes on! so may books so little time!!

I could have been the one to write your note! I too live in Maine, I’m retired, and have finished The Surgeon and The Apprentice, and I'm now reading The Sinner. I also like her style, her characters, plots, and settings. I enjoy crime and medical thrillers (I used to work in medicine). I have to confess that The Apprentice was a little too scary to read in bed. I had to finish it in the daylight. My other favorite authors are Nelson DeMille, Dan Brown, Jodi Picoult, Robin Cook, Patricia Cornwell, John Grisham, and several others.

I love medical thrillers. So far I've read two Tess Gerritsens (thought The Surgeon was a bit too gory/graphic), but I'm looking forward to the Rizzoli series.
Question: Which Rizzoli & Isles book would you recommend that I start with?
Happy to find you!!

Hi JA..if you look at this group's page, you will see all Tess' books listed in order of publication. The Rizzoli & Isles books are first:) Enjoy!!
