LOS sounds good, do you have to read the previous books in the series to know what's going on?

Thanks so much for letting me know Danielle! Have you read other books in the series? I was just wondering if reading the whole series was worth it.
I just ordered some books from Lora Leigh's breed series. Am I going to like these? I really got into the Riley Jenson series, but stopped after like book 6 I think, not because I lost interest, only because my library didn't have copies anymore..and I wasn't sure I wanted to start buying them in the middle of the series. Anyway, anyone have thoughts on the Breed series from Lora Leigh???TIA
Bekah
I really enjoy the Breeds series. It's a progressive storyline so it makes more sense to read it in order, but as the story progresses it's not as important. My favorite of the series is Dawn's Awakening, Elizabeth's Wolf (Breeds, #3) and Coyote's Mate well... there are others for sure but I'm not thinking of their titles right now. I'm REALLY looking forward to Lion's Heat which is out in April. It's Jonas Wyatt's story and he's so hard on the Breeds and their matings... I can't wait to see him deal with his own mate, finally. Some of them are pretty erotic and some contain anal sex. Just letting you know.

The short story, "The Mad Earl's Intended Bride" in Three Weddings and a Kiss is definitely worth reading. As well as The Last Hellion. Personally, I was underwhelmed with Captives of the Night, and I haven't heard good things about The Lion's Daughter, although I intend to read it. Loretta Chase is one of those authors that I intend to read everything she writes. For someone who doesn't feel that need, if anything, read the first two, and LOS. I hope that helps.

Yeah, some of the breeds 'partake' of the 'back door' method and other's don't. You always know when it's coming though, so if it offends you it's easily skipped.
Finished Enchanting Pleasures. I was surprised that I enjoyed it as much as I did! I usually don't romances where the hero or heroine has physical problems. I know, I know. I'm shallow when it comes to my choice of books.Danielle...Enchanting Pleasures would be right up your alley!

Is that the one where the hero has bad migraines and the heroine is plump? I definitely want to read that one, Anne.
Yes! And believe it or not...I loved it! You know me, I like my fantasy men to be pretty much perfect (physically anyway), but this dude had some 'issues'.

Great. I think this one is buried somewhere. Possibly in my garage. Well, good thing I have resolved to clean up the garage over my vacation. I'm so not looking forward to it!
Well, I made the mistake of reading Slave by Cheryl Brooks. It was AWFUL. *sigh*Going back to reading Turn Coat by Jim Butcher. At least Harry Dresdan never disappoints...
I'm reading book 3 of the Bridgerton series, An Offer From a Gentleman. It's a sweet, light read and exactly what I need after reading Whitney, My Love and Until You which are anything but light. LOL
Rachael, don't give up! Dark Lover is the weakest in the series, IMO, but you need to read it to understand the world the WARDen has created.

At this point all you need to know about the Lessers is that they need to die. Later... maybe 3rd book and on, their role is a little more important. Lover Unbound is Vishous' book. Here's the run down for you
Dark Lover - Wrath and Beth
Lover Eternal - Rhage and Mary
Lover Awakened - Zsadist *sigh* and Bella *grrr*
Lover Revealed - Butch and Marissa
Lover Unbound - Vishous and Jane
Lover Enshrined - Phury and Cormia
Lover Avenged - Rehv and Ehlena
Lover Mine - John Matthew and Xhex
who is the hottest brother .??????? i need motivation to keep reading .. Zsadist is dam scarey...which brother is the sex addict??? i cant rememebr but im interested in him LOL
I agree with Uniquely Moi! That's what I've been telling you Rachael, just keep with it, they do get better :)
It's hard to pick the hottest. I love Zadist, Rehvenge, and later you meet John Matthew (post transition) and Qhuinn. But a lot of people love V and Rhage.
Is V the hollywood looker or the guy that screws anything ? there are so many of them cant keep up
Rhage is Hollywood. V is into ... how can I say this... well, the title of his book is Lover UnBOUND - so you should be able to figure that out.The most tortured hero, and my favorite is Zsadist. The WARDen has said that he is her favorite too, and the only one of the books that she will never read again. It was emotionally painful to read, but is my favorite.

V is my favourite for being so brainy . *looks around furtively* anybody else notice that we turned an LK thread into a BDB love fest? LOL
I may get them a try....On another note.. How long do you guys think you should wait for a book to be delivered? I ordered a book on the 22nd of January, and I still haven't gotten it. It was LK's Where Passion Leads, which I had to pay $19.95 for! Still not here. I've already written them about it on the 11th, cause all of my other books had already been delivered. Their response was that it would be coming soon.
Thoughts?
I would email them asking for the actual date they shipped the book, and what does their website say about how long it will take to be delivered? Media Mail is usually 4-11 days according to most eBay sellers.
If they have a tracking # you can look it up at USPS.com and they'll let you know where the book is at.
I got a shipping confirmation from betterworld books on 1/22 which stated that some of the books would be arriving separately, but that I should recieve all of them 6-17 from January 22nd.

How was Whitney my love ???????? had my eye on that 1

Rachael, Whitney was a very, very, powerful, emotional read. I loved it, but I haven't sobbed so hard or been so frustrated with characters in a book in ages. Be ready for that kind of read when you pick this one up. And try to make sure it's the revised copy, not the original. I wrote a review here: http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/...
but there are major spoilers, so don't read it if you don't want to know.

Rachael, where is your BDB thread? I'll chat Brothers with you ;)
I was looking for your thread, too, Rach. Be sure and put it in this folder, the OFF TOPIC NON-Kleypas folder.
Speaking of BDB, Uniquely Moi, have you been on the message boards lately? Anything interesting going on?
You know, I haven't been over there in a long time... the last time I posted stuff over on Updates From The WARDen in the BDB group. That thread was deleted, but no one knows how or why, not even Otis knows who did it and he said that he checked and there was nothing wrong with anything. Everyone posted so many good things there, it's a shame it got pulled.
I have been on a roll this week! I read two great books in a row- The Raven Prince and And Then He Kissed Her! They were both excellent and I recommend both of them to everyone!I also ordered some books online and am anxiously awaiting their arrival- Everything Forbidden, Something Reckless and Taboo all by Jess Michaels and I ordered The Bronze Horseman.
I saw that. :( I hope it was an accident and not someone being mean. You started that thread a while ago and it was pretty active, I agree with you there were so many good things there. Well, I'll have to go lurking one day. I may find something good, I am hoping for a live chat after Lover Mine is released.

Cheryl, I was told by a little birdy that Nothing Denied has some... *clears throat* backdoor visitors. Just wanted to pass that along.
