Caleb tilted his head to one side slightly, smiling. "Well... They were originally from like kindergarten," his smile grew to a grin, "my family could tell very interesting stories about that. But sometimes I get bored." He coughed, his cheeks turning slightly pink. "And... yeah."

Medea opened her mouth in surprise, then smiled. "Well, I'd be pretty bored without you too," she said. Dang it! She was blushing again.

Medea hesitated, then said quickly, "Well, since it seems like everyone was bored, I was going to say that we could join Lyra and Caleb's table." She glanced at him, then back to the ground. I hope he isn't offended... "But you know, I like sitting here. And just talking."

Avery sensed that she really was bored. He paused for a moment, thinking. "Well, there are extra seats. If you want to sit over there, we can." Sitting there doesn't mean you have to forgive him, he told himself. Or talk to him.

"At my tenth birthday party, Nixie jumped on the table, knocked the chocolate pie - I had pie instead of cake - to the ground, and then my mom slipped in it. Nixie licked it off her back."
