Kynton forced himself not to flinch back from Tristin. Sheesh, he's really getting worked up about this! Usually I only start fights intentionally... He also balled his fists. "You didn't ask for it literally, moron, but I warned you that I do hate my last name that much. So you had it coming, man."

Kynton balled up his fists. "Watch who you're calling a buffoon!" he snapped. "Just because you're a Ravenclaw, it doesn't mean you're better and smarter than everyone else! At least Hufflepuffs aren't known for being smart-alecky nerds with no social skills! I'd rather be a Hufflepuff than a stuck-up Ravenclaw anyday. And I'd be willing to bet my stupidity and insolence would beat the crap out of your intelligence in a fight... mate." By the end, Kynton was breathing very hard. Who did he think he was?

Iris really didn't want to step in. She didn't like to press into situations when she wasn't in the place to do so. But the boys were really making it her business...then again, why would they want a stupid girl to get in their way and-- why was she so conflicted?

Kynton clenched his teeth. That does it! I'm not taking this from him. Smack that smirk off his ugly face, he fumed. "Oh yeah? Let's gamble then, mate!" He lunged forward as he swung a fist at Tristin, aiming for his stupid big head.

"Let's stop," said Iris, almost like a suggestion, yet at the same time not.

Kynton ignored Iris, his pulse pounding in his ears. He didn't bother with words, nor did he bother to pull out his wand. He aimed another punch at Tristin's stomach. With his left hand he reached for Tristin's short hair, trying to yank his head back.

Kynton winced as a fist connected with his side. He let go of Tristin's hair quickly and tried to wrench it out of his grip. With his other hand, he punched his arm. "I fight like a girl, huh?" he snarled, furious. He kicked at Tristin's shins as hard as he could. Idiot! I'll show him - not a sissy - but girls fight - Mara fought - show him - He bit down on his tongue, trying to ignore his swirling thoughts and focus. He kicked harder.

"Please stop fighting," Iris begged the two boys, completely serious this time, if not a bit whiny. She really didn't want to have to step in, but she hated seeing them hurting each other. It was just...ugh. There were no words to describe her distaste for the lack of point physical fighting had. Kynton and Tristin were doing nothing but furthering their anger and when they were done, they would have nothing but hatred for one another. Iris enjoyed when life was all sunshine and rainbows and she was ninety-nine point nine-nine percent sure this did not fall under the sunshine and rainbows category.

((It was wonderful, thank you! I got some amazing fireworks pictures at my city's fireworks show and I saw a bunch of my friendy friends since my city is kind of little. :) How was yours?))

Iris bristled, the hair on her neck standing not too dissimilar to the way a a cat's would. She almost began considering walking away, but then she stopped. Everyone knew she was not going to walk away. "Not until you stop."
