((Okay. Good luck!))Mandy nodded. That made sense. "Would you happen to know where'd it'd be at? I need to unpack. I just got here...." She looked a little depressed about it.
((Thanks. Fingers crossed.))"Actually, I'm kind of new," Drizzle laughed. How odd. Three of the four people he'd met that day were new to Hogwarts and then with him, they made five...no four. Simple arithmetic error. His father had told him he was lucky a special case was made for him since he had friends who knew the headmaster. Apparently, the headmaster was a friendly wizard. "I met these girls who were looking for it earlier, though, and they went that way." Drizzle pointed in the direction of a staircase. "Perhaps that'll give you better luck?"

Kynton sighed heavily. "Great. So... that means we're almost done with this lovely excursion, correct?"
((Yup! I was out of inspiration so I used my name. XD))"Oh! Thanks...Drizzle." Mandy nodded and began to take off down the hallway.
((Thanks. But it didn't say much about, well, everyone. And their histories. And dramas. Yes, the dramas. Just so you know Mandy, I have influenced you into joining a soap opera rather than a roleplay ;]))"If you would so wish," Iris shrugged, flipping her hair over her shoulder. "It was so you could meet them, but if you don't want to anymore..." she left the sentence hanging, her eyebrows raised in Kynton's direction.
"G'bye!" Drizzle called to her retreating figure, lifting his arm in a wave. As she continued, he let his arm drop, dangling by his side..
((That okay! I love soap operas! Have you seen the ones Lav and I have done?? XD))Mandy glanced back and nodded, and continued on.
((Who should she meet next?))
((Um, would she like to get to know Drizzle? 'Cause he can go after her.))
((Sure! Why not? They can chat while she tries to find the Common Room))
((Indeedly. And then he can conveniently slip away while she somehow gets in.))A wave of something washed upon the shores of Drizzle’s stomach, lapping the sides hungrily, eating away, tearing it apart. Homesickness. That was what it was, homesickness. He’d been here hardly a day and already Drizzle wanted to break down and hug his parents. Even a tease from one of his sisters would have been nice at that point. He just needed…somebody. Someone to steal him away from the loneliness inside of him. Mandy’s figure was disappearing down the corridor. In a second of rashness, he ran after her, coming up to her side. “Hi.” He couldn’t think of what to say and suddenly he felt awkward. What had he been thinking? Obviously, he hadn’t been thinking at all. “Uhm, I was just wondering if maybe you would want somebody to come with you. You know, just…company.” He sounded so stupid.
((Sounds good. =) ))Mandy turned and nodded. "Sure. That'd be...nice." She smiled a little. "So...Drizzle. How did you get that name? Out of curiosity."
"Honestly, I don't know. My parents say it just 'spoke to them'," he used air quotes, rolling his eyes. "But I think it's kind of a ridiculous name. I mean, my brother is named David." None of them are wizards that have to go away from home for a whole year. None of them have to pretend there's something wrong with them when they come home as an explanation for being gone. None of them are freaks like me.
He looks a little put out. Hmm... Mandy nodded. "I think it's cool. I like it. I mean, who else has the name Drizzle? No one that I know of. It's unique and different. My name is just...normal. Yours is awesome!" She said sincerely and emphatically.
Drizzle smiled slightly. Well, it was kind of awesome... "I reckon so. I mean, it is different. I suppose sometimes it's awesome," he added. He felt a little bit better now. "So are your parents wizards too?" It was so odd that he was "muggleborn" and still a wizard.
"Yup. Does the "too" mean your parents are wizards as well?"
“Actually,” Drizzle started. “The ‘too’ was more about you. Like, are they magic like you. My parents actually can’t do magic….” Then he added some of the wizard jargon he’d been hearing around. “They’re muggles.” He slouched sheepishly. Was he going to be shunned for being a muggleborn?
"Ahhhh. Cool. My best friend was a muggle." Mandy looked a little crestfallen as she said this. She missed her friend.
"Oh really, what was her name?" Drizzle asked. He didn't feel inferior!

Iris smiled. "Okay. And if we aren't able to find them tonight, then I can always introduce them to you tomorrow. They can't very well get out of classes, now can they?" Then Iris bit her lip guiltily, remembering the time they had skipped out of class. That had been a long time ago.

((ALYSSA!!!))"I believe so. I haven't heard anything about schedules changing," Iris frowned, slightly agitated. "Actually, I haven't heard much of anything. I had no idea when the meals were supposed to be. Just wandered in on accident. They should do something about that."

"I bet there's a schedule with the classes and meals posted on the notice board in your Common Room," Kynton said. "Didn't you check?" He ran a hand through his short, spiky hair.

((*laughs*))"Nope." Mandy said shortly. She didn't want to talk about it.
((Ahh, sorry. I was doing French homework. And now I have to go home. G'night all!))Drizzle frowned. Mandy had been...short, for lack of a better, unused word. He wasn't sure how to respond. "Yepp," he said, just to fill the awkward silence

Kynton shrugged. "Yeah. I actually don't think I'll bother checking. If the classes have changed and they didn't bother informing us, they can't blame me for showing up to my same schedule."
((LITTLEDOLPHIN!!! ALYSSA!!! Psstt, I think they ate dinner already. The arm wrestling?))Iris shrugged. “I guess it is beginning to seem a bit futile. Perhaps we’ll just have to introduce you all tomorrow during class. Would you like that?” She looked at Kynton, as it was him she was originally going to introduce to her friends. She didn’t want him to ... well, freak out about anything.

Kynton shrugged in exasperation. "Sure. I don't care. It doesn't matter to me when or if I ever meet these people. This does seem a little pointless."

"It's okay," Iris said quickly. She was not ready to deal with another fight. She hadn't even handled the last one halfway properly, and she was all worn out from it. "It's okay." She repeated, closing her eyes for a second, praying to open them to smiling faces. However, Iris knew it was most unlikely. Her eyelids fluttered open anyway, revealing their violet brilliance.

Caleb exited the dining hall, having finished his grapes and rolls, and saw Iris looking rather upset, as well as two boys he didn't know well. "Hey, Iris," he said in a quiet voice. "Everything alright?"
"Caleb!" Iris exclaimed, a smile blooming across her face, her eyes sparkling. She almost hugged him, but stopped herself, as Caleb seemed a bit subdued and...well...yeah. She merely beamed and said "Hi!"

Caleb gave a small smile at the boy who was apparently Iris's friend (though he sounded a bit hostile, really). "I'm Caleb Sheppard. I don't think we've met."

Kynton allowed a few sour seconds to pass before he answered with a glower on his face. "No. We haven't. I'm Kynton.... Caleb. And now we've met, so I don't have to bother with any more dumb small talk and half of this pointless mission is fulfilled." He directed this last bit at Iris.

Caleb raised one eyebrow curiously. "Nice to meet you. What mission?"
((HAIIIIIII. First of all, Iris totally real-smiles at Kynton. Maybe not all the time, but she does. Second of all...okay, there's no second of all.))"That's right," Iris nodded brightly. Her hand flew ever so dramatically to her cheek, almost as if slapping herself across the face, but not all the same, because it was just a gentle touch. "I've forgotten to introduce you all. Well, Caleb, Kynton, Kynton, Caleb," she gestured between the two hurriedly. "You already took care of that, and Caleb, this is Tristin. Tristin, this is Caleb." Ta da! her hands dropped to her side with flourish, her face slightly flushed from the sudden inner excitement, now dying slowly down.

Sorry I haven't been on for a while in the UK we have huge exames (GCSEs) that set us for the rest of are lives and I have them coming up so I'm doing a lot of work so i may be absent for long periods of time until there over in the summer XD.If Mandy walks up to the Common room we can meet her by the Fat Lady!!!))

"Well, no. You said you're lost and asked if I was a Gryffindor so I put two and two together. Kind of..." Drizzle wondered if she had insulted her; he couldn't tellf rom the impassiveness upon her face.
