((Aww. :( I feel so bad. I love you, Tristin! I'm sorry.))
"You're pathetic," Kynton hissed. "You punch Iris and then you can't even take punishment." He shoved against Tristin's shoulder with his whole body weight, pushing him to the ground. Looming over the bloodied boy, he felt a twinge of unease. It had been a long time since he got in a fight so violent... It didn't seem right. No. Stop it. He deserves this. He hit Iris. He kicked Tristin's side.

{LOL thnx, just shows you how many girl charries I have}

{Brenda's gonna come along, now.}
Brenda ran in crying, "STOP!" She looked at the two of them, "'Fight fire with fire and get a bigger fire!'"

"That's not right," she spat at him, "one should always care for the well-being of others, especially when they can do something to stop it."

"Shut up, both of you!" Kynton finally said. "You - Brenda? - I've never even met you, but stay out of this. If you're that concerned, I'm sure the nurse will have him patched up in no time." He glanced at Tristin, then at his own hands. He could see faint bruises forming on his knuckles and a few drops of blood - Tristin's blood. He heard Tristin's earlier words in his mind: If I wasn't taking it, I'd be fighting back... He bit his lip; usually he didn't beat up people who wouldn't defend themselves. "You did deserve it. At least you admit that." He forced his tone to remain angry. With one last glare, he turned away and started casually walking down the hall. "Now we're done," he tossed over his shoulder.

Kynton spun around. "I'm a coward? I'm not the one who hit a girl! And don't you dare blame Iris or call her weak! She's got ten times your guts and ten times your brains. You can't say that about her - or me!" His face turned red with anger. Not bothered by it? I'll show him bothered! Without even thinking about it, he sprinted toward Tristin and crashed into him. He raised a fist and smashed it against his head. "You called yourself her friend!" Another punch. "Leave her alone!"

((Ahh, I don't like beating him up.... :/ But Kynton insists. Hahaha, don't worry, my ears cry sometimes too. ;) ))
Kynton paused for a moment, breathing heavily. "This is different," he sputtered. "I'm in perfect control - this is exactly what I want to be doing right now. And you can't - you can't make it up to her. You never can." He drew back his fist, but hesitated right before letting loose. Instead he slapped Tristin's cheekbone with his palm as hard as he could. Then he pushed Tristin away as he struggled to his feet, kicking his stomach on the way up for good measure. "If you're lucky now you'll have a bruise just like hers. And if you've got any sense you'll keep your mouth shut and your fists to yourself... mate." Kynton was rather proud of himself. His rage was simmering in content, rather than boiling over. He spit on the ground in front of Tristin. Taking a deep breath, he walked away slowly. He kept his eyes pointedly averted from the bloody boy on the ground.

Kynton was turning around to argue with Brenda when he heard the beginnings of a spell. "Hey-" Then he was hit by a streak of light. He felt his legs and arms snap into place as he fell slowly backwards, completely stiff and rigid. He hit the ground, the back of his head cracking on the stone floor. He couldn't force his hand to reach his wand, no matter how hard he tried. He couldn't even blink. Oh no. No no no. What am I going to do?! He started to panic. I can't move! How am I supposed to breathe? I'm going to die!

((Hmm... I'm not sure if that's sarcasm or not, LittleDolphin. ;) Kynton would say thank you, but he's Kynton.))
Kynton suddenly felt warmth in his fingertips, and he blinked without thinking. He let out a gasp. What.... I can move! Relief flooded through him, and he stood up quickly, brandishing his wand. He heard Tristin drop his wand, and realized that the Ravenclaw boy had unfrozen him. Shame quickly replaced relief - but he pushed it away. He cleared his throat. "That was unnecessary, Tristin. I would've gotten out on my own. But, um, thanks," he mumbled. "Maybe you should go mop yourself up." He turned to Brenda, the look on his face suddenly more furious than it had ever been while fighting Tristin. "And you, you hypocrite, leave me alone and for the last time, stay out of this. Or I'll tell a professor that you cursed me and your precious Ravenclaw House will lose points. Since it sounded like that's what you were really concerned about, not helping people who are hurt. And if two wrongs don't make a right, how in Merlin's name do three? How can you call me savage when you whip out your wand the instant you get mad at someone?" He shook his head angrily. "I'm done here. See you around, Tristin." He hastily retreated down the hallway. Once around the corner, he slumped against a wall. A GIRL! I got jinxed by a girl! What a coward. I couldn't have fought back even if she hadn't gotten me when my back was turned, he fumed. And Tristin... Well, I was just dishing out justice. He got what he deserved. Still, the throbbing in his knuckles wouldn't let him forget how much pain the Ravenclaw boy must be in right now and that he had caused it.

She put her index finger to her lips, "Hmm..." she gently picked her wand up from off the cold, hard floor, "This won't hurt. I'm going to help you... Episkey."

((Well, technically every spell we've used so far [except for Petrificus Totalus] is too advanced for first years, but this is a rp so I think it's fine. :) HELLO EVERYONE!!!!))

((Lol, probably. But it doesn't matter. This is much more fun when we're allowed to take liberties. ;) Where is Lyra right now??))

((Is it ridiculous that reading some of these made me cry? It's been months and months, but I loved these people all so much... I miss it.))
((Uh, sure! It's been so long. Who are your characters? I'm sorry if I knew you before and you just changed your username or something.))
((Okay! Sweet. I have Caleb and Avery Sheppard. Caleb's a Slytherin, Avery's a Gryffindor. If Brenda wanted to come outside or somethin', I'm sure one of them could be introduced. Alright! No worries. I'll probably be off and on.))

In a voice as velvety as the white dress she was wearing, "Hello, there."
Caleb shivered a little in the cool air, staring up at the ceiling as he walked. He felt lost, like his center had been thrown off balance and couldn't find its way back. He didn't know why, or how to fix it, but pacing the corridors was as good a place as any. It was quiet, and his thoughts wandered until the tell-tale click of heels started from far off. He ignored them, putting his hands in his pockets and humming something tunelessly under his breath. Then, a girl stopped in front of him. She greeted him. Her white dress seemed a little impractical for the weather, but to each their own, he supposed. He rubbed a hand through his hair and blinked. "Uhm. Hello?"
Caleb shifted, straightening himself and holding out his hand. "I'm Caleb. Nice to meet you, Brenda. I don't think I've seen you around before."

Caleb thinks for a moment. "Sounds familiar, yes." He gives a sheepish smile, dropping her hand and fidgeting slightly. "Sorry, I'm not always the most in touch with reality. She's in Ravenclaw? That's cool. I have a good friend in Ravenclaw. What house are you in?"
