Twin Peaks, The X-Files, Fringe and MUCH MORE!

Yes, that is annoying. I hope it comes on at 8:00 ET.

I wish they just stick with their day and time for the entire season. It's annoying when they change mid-season.

I missed that one.

What was the "dual world" intro? what was different? I didn't notice but they've done different intros before. I absolutely loved that 1985 intro in season 2 :-)

This Marionette Episode - I rated it 4 stars. It had some beautiful scenes but overall I didn't feel like it was quite as intense. I did see the observer though this time :-) - I'm quite proud of myself for noticing him (he's at the very end in case you didn't know) I'm wondering where the story is headed now - was the observer talking about Peter or Walter when he said "He's still alive"? He was looking at both of them.

It was in read and had different words from the regular one, which is blue. Yes, I really enjoyed the 1985 intro too--that was the year I was born. :-)

I've been watching season one of Warehouse 13 - it's certainly not as good as The X-Files or Fringe, but it's entertaining, humorous and interesting :-)

Yes, I found that out last night and was very disappointed. I guess they need to make room for new shows, like XYZ Wrestling and Poltergeist Patrol. :-(

When is the next episode of Fringe scheduled to air?
While I've been waiting for the newest episode of Fringe and since I finished the short series of Firefly, I've been watching more Supernatural - almost done with season 2. From what I've watched so far, I would rank my favorite sci-fi series in the following order:
1. Fringe
2. The X-Files
3. Firefly
4. Supernatural
5. Warehouse 13
One thing I've felt Supernatural has been lacking is a strong female role, but it looks like in season 3, that might be changing. I currently own seasons 1-3, so took a peak at what's coming up. I noticed there are a lot less episodes in season 3 of Supernatural than there were the first 2 seasons.
My Favorite Supernatural Season 2 Episodes include:
Episode 2: Everybody Loves A Clown
Episode 11: Playthings
Episode 12: Nightshifter
Episode 14: Born Under a Bad Sign
Episode 15: Tall Tales
Episode 16: Roadkill
Episode 18: Hollywood Babylon
....4 more episodes to go :-)

There's a female presence but not a lead character and there won't be. I like it just as it is, a female lead would only hamper the boys, whether it's by attaction/lust or protection, they would be too distracted about the girl to do their job properly.
I also don't think books/TV/movies should fall into the idiotic politically correct idea that there must be some of every group. It's OK to have a predominitely male TV show.

I've heard Season 3 is shorter because that was the year of the writer strike. The female lead idea was just a thought - the Dean/Sam team is growing on me - at first I just wasn't sure about these pretty boys but lately I've gotten rather hooked. I'm half-way through S3 - really enjoyed the Season 2 finale where All Hell Breaks Loose (Part 2 was absolutely amazing) and have enjoyed all the episodes of season 3 so far. It just seemed like with Bela and Ruby in Season 3 and what's her name from the roadhouse in Season 2 that there was more of female presence. I noticed Wal-mart currently has the first seasons Supernatural for only $15, of course I noticed that after paying much more for my copies.

I like Jensen Ackles from other shows, Smallville and Dark Angel, and even back to his Days of our Lives stint. Supernatural is a show that gets better as it goes. Even though it's good right from the start. The mythology of the show picks up and there's some deep mystical happenings later on. It's easy to get swept up in the show. I love it.
Ellen and Jo are from the roadhouse. And I love those girls. But I still believe Supernatural is perfect just the way it is, with Dean and Sam as a team.
But we're all entitled to our thoughts, and if it started out with the boys and a girl in the mix, I'd probably like it because I'd be used to the idea. I'm not a fan of change, LOL

Well, I do think I'm hooked now. There were some good episodes in season one - for example, I liked that Hook Man episode and the Scarecrow episode. I don't have my season one to reference because I lent it out, but those are the ones that stand out. I really got hooked during the second half of season two and every episode of Season 3 so far (I'm on disc 4 of 5) has been amazing. I haven't seen either actor in anything else. Clearly, Supernatural has a huge following and there's lots of Supernatural items for fans to buy. I'm assuming the show is still going strong if it's on Season 6. Any predictions about how many seasons the show might run for? The X-files ran for 9 seasons and that was a bit too long in my humble opinion. Anyway, I'm happy with the course Supernatural is taking so far but I've still got a ways to go to catch up :-)

Supernatural was supposed to end at Season 5 but due to the success of the show they extended it for another year. But that can change also, ER was ending for about 5 years and yet it kept on going. I'm guessing the fate of Season 7 will be up to the fans response to Season 6, which in my opinion, is the weakest season they've done.

Well, that doesn't sound like very good news :-( I am an ER fan too, but I kinda dropped out at the later seasons - I'll have to catch up on DVD :-) Now, that I think of it, that's a great idea for when I'm caught up on Supernatural and waiting for Fringe.... I think I may revisit ER - thanks for mentioning it :-)

*SPOILERS FOR THE SECOND HALF OF FRINGE, SEASON THREE*
Fringe moving to Friday may seem earth shattering to some of its fans, but at FOX's TCA party on January 11, Lance Reddick and Jasika Nicole previewed future plot lines that will literally put the Fringe division on shaky ground.
"The degradation of the physical universe that is happening in the alternate universe is going to start happening on the primary side," says Reddick. Adds Nicole, "It's no longer about needing to communicate with them and say, 'Look, we don't want to be at war, we just want peace.' It doesn't really matter because the worlds are starting to come apart at the seams in a fundamental way. The trajectory of the show is figuring out how to stop that from happening, so that our universe doesn't become like theirs, because theirs is practically destroyed."
The earth is not the only thing rattled on the latter half of Season 3. "The biggest tease that I can offer you is that this love affair between Peter and Olivia, which involved another Olivia, has not ended," says Nicole. "You're going to get your first hint about what it means in the first episode back, at the very end. And if you blink you'll miss it. It's something at the very, very end if the episode — a little trigger — and it [points to] something that happens in the future. It's going to link the universes in a way that they have never been linked before."
And in February, after the great success of the previous flashback episode, Fringe is delving into Alterna-Peter's childhood in episode 15. "It's actually a flashback in both universes," reveals Nicole. "It delves even deeper into the inner workings of why [Walter] took his son but more importantly, what happens to a child when they're taken from another universe? Does he know? He knows that there's something different about his parents."
Nicole says she's not worried about the time shift, from Thursday nights to Fridays. "I don't know if it's because I'm super optimistic but I don't see how this could be bad for us," she tells us. "On Friday night we're contending with less, so I feel like if anything, we might even gain some people. I think that if we can maintain ourselves, and maybe gain some more [viewers], that would be really good. And I can't imagine that not happening."

But if it turns out that Peter has really fathered a child with the other Olivia, it's gonna really put a damper on things. Did you notice that comment from the observer? "It must be hard being a father".

I think V is OK, it has a lot of potential but was too slow moving for me last season. The network gave us 4 episodes and then made us wait til the Spring to see the rest, so maybe that's why I feel it was slow. I'm hoping the new season is better. It starts on Jan 4.
