Questions About All Things In Death . . .

Or maybe I'm just going crazy? =)
Katherine wrote: "Sharon wrote: "Katherine wrote: "Sharon wrote: "Katherine wrote: "Does anyone remember the book where Eve makes a reservation to eat with Roarke and she tells him that "Roarke clears a table faster..."Now you have me curious. I know that Roarke throws his weight around a lot and Eve mentions that his name is more powerful than her badge but I can't remember this scene at all.

Sorry I'm so happy. It's Big Jack, where Dallas goes to Brooklyn to follow up on one of her victim's boyfriend/suspect.

The second one is "Portrait in Death" book #16 or it could be the one with Carole's daughter was charged with the murder of a husband and homeland security set her up.
I don't know if this be the right place to post this but, does this look like a good picture of Eve Dallas for you guys (BTW I didn't draw this)? https://blogs.forbes.com/olliebarder/...
You're not wrong about the young part, but as soon as I saw those eyes, I saw Eve Dallas, even if it is somebody else.
Yes it dose, all but the color of the hair and eyes. Eve's eyes are brown and her hair is brown, black and blond
Kari wrote: "I love the entire series but I am slowly buying the entire series on my kindle. I am buying them in order of my favorite moments not in the order you should read them...There are three that I want ..."The second one is 6 - Vengance in Death. Peabody, McNab and Roarke (and maybe Feeney) are in Eve’s home office, Peabody is talking to Eve on her comm and they all hear the explosion.
Barbara "Cookie" wrote: "Yes it dose, all but the color of the hair and eyes. Eve's eyes are brown and her hair is brown, black and blond"The lady in that picture is Motoko Kusanagi from Ghost in the Shell. Netflix recently announced a new animated series and that was the first promo shot of Motoko.
I know many of you aren't familiar with GiTS, but if you watched both the original animated movie and the new one with Scarlett Johannson, you'd be amazed at how close it'd look to the In Death universe. And if y'all want to know something neat, the original movie came out in 95 around the time when Naked in Death came out.
BTW, I apologize for going off topic, I was just clarifying who the lady in the picture was. I know it's not Eve, but it's definitely dead close.
So I make no secret that I'm an anime fan, and for the record it's not just the In Death, but everytime I either read or listen to an book I visualize the story as an anime. But here's my question: if an Anime version of the In Death series were to be made and this would be the visuals for it would you watch it? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qbc8t...
I probably would. If done well, it may even be better than an actual movie or tv series. The characters could potentially be done as described in the books - better so than finding people to fit the descriptions.
What book does Roarke make a space for Eve in the house? One that is exactly like her apartment. Thanks
Barbara "Cookie" wrote: "I think it’s the three book"Thanks. I just found it. It is in Glory ID. This was driving me nuts!!
Does anyone remember which store Eve goes into twice during two different investigations? One was towards the beginning of the series and one was towards the end, and I think it was the sales clerk that recognized her. I think the first appearance was Holiday in Death, but does anyone know the second time she goes into that store?
Book one when she met a sale girl in a Beauty salon and the second time she met her is Holiday in death after she merry Roarke
Katherine wrote: "Does anyone remember which store Eve goes into twice during two different investigations? She bought scarves from him and then one Christmas she sees him again and he takes her to a store where she buy everybody a purse.
Kathy wrote: "Katherine wrote: "Does anyone remember which store Eve goes into twice during two different investigations? Because last time she was there, there was such a hassle. The second time Eve was at this shop was in the later half of the series, but I don't recall where.
Katherine wrote: "Kathy wrote: "Katherine wrote: "Does anyone remember which store Eve goes into twice during two different investigations? Eve & Peabody had been there before and the clerk wasn't too happy to have cops in the place. Am not sure if that's the one, but it's the only thing that came to mind. Good Luck.
Can someone tell in which book is Summerset attacked while he's at the market. He's haggling with the market owner over the price of grapes and he's attacked by someone involved in Eve's investigation while his back is turned

I don't know how to quote the comment I'm replying to on here but Thanks so much Renegade. I've been looking for the scene for months
Readyornot wrote: "I don't know how to quote the comment I'm replying to on here but Thanks so much Renegade. I've been looking for the scene for months"Glad I could help, Readyornot, and you're very welcome! 🙂
I also think she when there in “Holiday in Death” where she Brought Dr. Mira a gift and she was looking for a unsub.
The question about Betrayal In Death had me thinking about the characters. Has anyone noticed the similarities and repeating characters names throughout the In Death series. Magda Lane the actress (who also has a thing for Roarke) and Magdalena the ex in Innocent. There are others that I've thought about over the years too.
Hi - is there a special 'discussion group' some place for Nora's other books. I'd like to know if anyone has heard anything about: The Awakening (The Dragon Heart Legacy, Book 1). Thanks, MDy

We have a separate Nora Roberts group (link below). The book was added to the book list but we haven’t opened a thread for it as we don’t yet have a description or a cover!

Hi, does anyone remember the book where Eve was held hostage in cop central and Roarke was trying to override the door dystem to get her out?
So I just a found a more accurate drawing of Eve Dallas I want to share with y'all. https://www.instagram.com/p/B-cQWC-JA...
Wow - they even got the "chin" thing (can't remember what it's called). Now all that's needed is the long, magic coat! Great eyes on the sketch.
Jonetta wrote: "That’s pretty good, Seth! Mdy, it’s a cleft chin."
Probably should've put in a disclaimer that I didn't draw that, and I need to figure out how to change my name over here to what I usually use on other websites.
But I wish this artist two things: That she draws Roarke at some point, and if a Graphic Novel adaptation were to be Greenlit, I hope this artist gets hired.

I don't remember Eve making a reservation. That doesn't seem like something she would do.
