What do you know about Adrian and what she can do?
"I know she can shapeshift," Alek said. "I know her kind need fire starter and purehearted blood to survive. I know she has some pretty powerful magik."
Sabrina nodded, then sat quietly, thinking.
"What are you thinking?" Alek asked.
Nothing in particular. Sabrina replied.
"Will you be ok if I go finish my hunt?" Alek asked.
Sabrina nodded. Sorry for keeping you.
"It's fine," Alek said kissing her cheek getting up.
Within the hour Alek found a large bear and drained it.
Sabrina fell asleep as she waited for him.
Alek came back, sat on the edge of the bed and rubbed her head.
Sabrina groaned and stirred before waking up at the feeling of his hand on her head. Forgetting for a moment that someone had hijacked her voice she tried to greet him. Welcome back. "Get the hell away from me." she said. Damn.
Sabrina groaned, and grabbed the notepad she'd used earlier and wrote; I'm sorry, I forgot.
"It's alright," Alek said, moving his hand back to her hair.
You're too forgiving. Sabrina wrote.
Sometimes I think Sabrina started to write, then she scratched it out and shook her head.
"What?" Alek asked raising an eyebrow.
Sabrina blushed and shook her head again. Nsvermind
Alek took her notepad and turned it to look at the impressions on the next page.
The impressions read, Sometimes I think I'm in love with you. Face as red as her hair, Sabrina tried to snatch the notepad back.
Alek moved the note pad and kissed her. "Sometimes I think the same," he said softly.
Go ahead and talk, darlin. Take this as a warning of what's to come. I'm going to sleep and won't bother you until I wake up. Just don't let your guard down too much, princess- I'll be back. I've got big plans for you.Sabrina could feel the overbearing prescience leave her mind, and she finally said, softly, "I've never been in love before. Its weird, to think I might be."
"Trust me, no one feels weirder about this than me," Alek said.
"What do you mean?" Sabrina asked curiously.
"A couple months ago there was no chance in hell I was going to be in love with anyone," Alek said. "Making people think they loved me to get stuff, but not actually feel anything for anyone but me."
Alek took her face in his hands and kissed her beck.
Sabrina slid her arms around him, and moved closer to him.
Sabrina ran her fingers through his hair.
Alek wrapped his arms around her waist.
From about a block away, Adrian used a spell to link her mind with Alek's and send an image to Alek's mind, like a hyper-real dream if vampires dreamed. In it, his hands reached for Sabrina, one tangling in her hair, the other holding her hands down as the hand in her hair yanked her head back hard enough for her to cry out in pain, and his teeth sunk into her neck, draining her dry and the flavor of her blood flooded his mouth as her body went limp and the warmth left it, her glassy sightless eyes staring up at him.
Alek flung himself away from her, landing in a crouch across the room. He suddenly felt starving, the images, and Sabrina's scent, making him thirsty again. He could feel himself preparing for a hunt. "Run," he said, looking up at her his eyes getting darker my the second.
Sabrina stood and ran from the room.
Alek tried to stop himself from following her, but soon he found his legs carrying him towards the door; and the hungrier he got, the less he cared.
Sabrina could run fairly long distances, but she wasn't very fast. She was only at the end of the sidewalk outside his house.This is what you are. Adrians voice said in his mind. A monster. You always have been and you always will be, and playing house with some girl won't change that. You have no business being with her unless it's to feed. Can you hear her? All this time and she's just right outside. She's no match for you. Think about how satisfying her blood will be.
Alek growled then took off after Sabrina. It took him less than a second to catch her, he got more chase out of a faun. He grabbed her tight: one arm around her chest, pinning her arms at the shoulder, and the other around her waist.
"Alek, don't. Let go." Sabrina said, surprising herself by how steady her voice sounded. Though her heart hammered in her chest, it was more from the running, as there was no fear in her voice.
"I'm sorry," Alek said, taking her back inside. "I tried, but I always knew this was going to happen. It's my fault for thinking I could be anything else." He pushed her inside and locked the door behind him; then the doorknob vanished like it had in her room the night before.
"Stop talking like this is inevitable Alek!" Sabrina said, the conviction in her voice leaving no room for doubt. "You're stronger and kinder than this. I know it. And if you won't believe it then I guess I'll believe it for the both of us, right up until my heart stops beating."
"I'm afraid that won't be long," Alek said, pushing her into the wall. Then like Adrian had made him see he grabbed her hands and pinned them over her head.
Sabrina glared at him. "You're being an a**." she said. "Snap out of it."
"Just relax," Alek whispered. He held her wrists with one hand and put the other on her cheek. Magic poured from his hand, seeping into her mind.
"I will not 'relax' until you stop being such a jerk and let go of me." Sabrina said, the magic not affecting her.
Alek tilted his head, confused, as he add power to the spell. His hand slid back into her hair, gripping it tightly.
Sabrina glared at him steadily. "I can feel you messing with my mind. You said You wouldn't do that anymore."
