Alek leaned against the counter next to her and watched her.

"If I'm in your room, where are you going to sleep?" Sabrina asked as she ate her sandwich,
"You don't what?" Sabrina asked. "Sleep? At all?"
Alek shook his head. "Part of the whole vampire thing."
"Are there any other abnormal vampire things you do that I don't know about?" Sabrina asked curiously.
"Cold as ice, hard as stone, strong enough to pull entire trees out of the ground by the root without even trying," Alek said.
"Interesting," Sabrina said. "Is asking someone how they became a vampire a rude question?" she asked.
"I had a vampire bite me," Alek said. "Then the venom coursed through my system, infecting every cell in my body. Once that was done it turned on my heart and shut it down."
"Make my powers stronger," Alek said.
"You don't want to know," Alek said.
"What do you mean?" Sabrina asked, confused.
"It was back before I decided to try not being an ass," Alek said.
"What made you decide that anyway?" Sabrina asked curiously.
"A couple of things," Alek said. "But it didnt really stick until recently.
"Interesting." Sabrina said, then she went back to eating her sandwich.
"Let me try that," Alek said. He grabbed onto her wrist and and brought the sandwich to his mouth.
"Help yourself." Sabrina said, letting him pull her sandwich to him.
Alek took a bite. "That's pretty good," he said. "Back when I actually ate, before I was a vampire, I would have had you make sandwiches for me day and night."
"Do I look like a professional sandwich maker?" Sabrina asked sarcastically.
"Maybe," Alek joked, making a Subway apron appear over her clothes.
Sabrina laughed. "give it back," she said, taking her sandwich back.
Alek smiled, releasing the sandwich.
Alek wrapped his arms around her waist from behind and rested his head on her shoulder.
Sabrina nodded. "yeah, I just wasn't prepared earlier. "
"Can I ask you something?" Alek asked.
Sabrina nodded. "sure, what is it? "
"The other day when you said one time did he have anything to do with that?" Alek asked.
"No, that was someone else" Sabrina said.
"Would it be weird if I said I'm kind of glad?"
{{Sorry I haven't been able to connect to my internet all day.}}Alek kissed her cheek. "So what do you want to do today?" He asked.
(Yeah, me niether)"You pick today." Sabrina said. "What do you like to do?"
"Kill that Henry guy," Alek said. "But I have a feeling you'll oppose that idea."
Sabrina laughed. "Yeah. But it's an entertaining idea."
"Why don't we figure out what to tell your mom about why you wont be coming home?" Alek said. "Then decide on what to do with the rest of the day after that."
"Good idea." Sabrina said. "Hm..." she fell silent as she thought.
"I have no clue what your mom would buy," Alek said after a minute. "Any idead?"
"Maybe we don't have to tell her i'm not at home. If I check in in the morning, and at night, she doesn't have to know i'm not at home." Sabrina said.
"What if she invites him to stay at your house? Then one morning or evening you go over there and she has you stay for breakfast or dinner with him, and you can't get out of there fast enough? Your not going back until he's gone."
"If my mom is there, I'll be fine." Sabrina said. "I don't know what he's doing here, but it's not to ruin his image. He'll behave in front of her. Anything else and my mom will ask more questions than I can answer."
"What about asking Susannah to cover for you?" Alek asked.
"My mom is going to make me spend time with him, Alek." Sabrina said. "She thinks we were friends - he was friends with everyone. I'd rather risk her making us all have breakfast or dinner together than have her make me show him around or something else equally repulsive."
Alek groaned. "I don't think it's a good idea."
"I know it's a long shot, but please, will you just help me try to make it work?" Sabrina asked pleadingly. "I don't want my mom to ever have to get involved in what happened between me and him."
