Jacob looked at Susannah and noticed that she hadn't gotten what he said. "Spanish is a pain in the butt," he told explained.

"Right!" Susannah said, finally putting the pieces together. She'd oly understood half of what he'd said. "So, based on that, I again offer my help." Adrian said.
"Hm...ok. Later today then." Susannah said.
"Later today. It's a date." Adrian said before waving and walking away.
Jacob waved and heaved a sigh of relief.
"Well that was nice." Susannah commented as she started walking again.
"So you know spanish?" Susannah asked.
"I took it in school I just hated it," Jacob said. "It was very hard and annoying."
Susannah nodded and made a face. "Yeah. It is."
Jacob smiled. "Do you have to study with him?" He asked.
"I don't know," Jacob said, "there's just something about him that doesn't sit right with me."
Susannah shrugged. "I guess I don't have to. But I'd like to. I need the help in spanish, and he kindly offered."
"Fine," Jacob said not trying very hard to hide the fact that he didn't like it.
"You can come if it'd make you feel better, Jacob." Susannah said.
"It's alright," Jacob said. "I trust you," he laughed.
"Good. Then we don't have a problem." Susannah said as she walked.
"No, I guess we don't" Jacob said.Kahlan came by just then. "Oh good you didn't break up with her then," she said sounding pleased upon seeing Jacob and Susannah.
"Oh, he did." Susannah said. "Or - scratch that - someone did." she said.
"What do you mean 'someone'?" Kahlan asked.
"I mean Jacob came in and broke up with me. Or so I thought. Because this morning, Jacob," Susannah pointed at Jacob, "came in and said he had no idea what I was talking about."
"Okay," Kahlan said slowly. "That's... confusing."
{{Srry I had to babysit.}}"Well as confusing as it maybe it still ended fine," Jacob said. "I still love her and she still loves me."
Jacob kissed Susannah's cheek then looked up at Kahlan. "Anyway we were just taking a walk. Would you care to join us?""That's alright," Kahlan said, "maybe next time."
"Are you sure?" Susannah asked. "It's fun."
"Well, have fun...with whatever you do." Susannah said.
"You to," Kahlan said. "And Jake don't you hurt her.""Don't plan on it," Jacob smiled.
But I do. Adrian thought before she quietly left. It was almost the end of the school day and she needed to run her plan by Balthazar.
Jacob wrapped his arm back around Susannah's shoulder and started walking.
Susannah started walking too.When Adrian met up with Balthazar, she said, "You have to tutor Susannah in spanish later tonight."
"Why?" Balthazar asked.
"Because I told her you would." Adrian said. "But forget that. I have a plan."
"So you ready for your study date?" Jake asked the idea obviously still bugging him.
"Yeah." Susannah said. "I mean, I can miss any class, but spanish? No, I really needed to learn todays lesson yesterday, so with that in mind I guess I'm ready."
"Alright," Jacob said as they steped out of the woods into Susannah's yard.
"Quick question." Susannah said. "Do you know how to say 'I love you' in spanish?" she asked.
"Te quiero, Jacob." Susannah said. "But I need to hunt down a pencil." she said as she walked into her house.
Jacob smiled and followed her inside.
Susannah found a pencil and her spanish book and set them on her desk. "There." she said. "Now I don't have to worry about losing my spanish book before I need it."
"Yeah." Susannah took out another book. "How good are you in chemistry?" she asked.
"Ok, then I have another question." Susannah said. "what does the periodic table of elements have to do with it?"
"Everything," Jacob said. "And I'm not exaggerating."
Susannah nodded. "Ok. Well the rest of that chapter makes sense." she said, putting the book down.
"Alright," Jacob said. "Should I stay for your study date? Or what do you think?"
Susannah shrugged. "It doesn't matter. I always like having you around, but if you've got something you have to do I'm sure I can handle spanish by myself."
"Well I guess I'll go and try to figure out what happened," Jacob said. "You know about last night."
"Ok. I'll see you later then." Susannah said.
