"Oh," Kahlan said, "Well I guess you say what you just did."

Balthazar thought about it. "I think you're right. But when do you think is the best time?" he asked.
"Well you don't want to put off the inevitable," Kahlan said. "So you should do it sooner rather than later."
"Right. Thanks or your help. I should do it now." Balthazar said.
"Ok," Kahlan said; her displeasure for what the person she thought was Jacob was doing making itself evident.
"I just wish there was another way..." Balthazar muttered. But he sighed and said, "Thanks for your help, Kahlan. This has been bugging me." then he walked off into the woods.
"Sure thing," Kahlan said walking on the way she had before she saw Balthazar.
Balthazar was attacked by Adrian once he was out of sight and earshot. "What did you do! You were supposed to flirt with her! Not say you don't love Susannah!""Yes, I know. But I didn't want to scare her off. But it's ok. We can ruin Susannah's life more effectively like this." Balthazar said.
Adrian smiled. "I like how you think." she said. Then Balthazar started walking towards Susannah's house.
Jacob finished eating and helped cleared the table. "Thank you for the great dinner Ms. Summers," he said.
"Oh, you're welcome dear." Ms. Summers said as she cleared the table too.
"I'd better get home," Jacob said and gave Susannah a quick kiss on the cheek.
"Bye." Both Susannah and Ms. Summers said, smiling.
As soon as he left, Balthazar stepped out, still looking like Jacob, and knocked on the door. Susannah answered. "I thought you were going home?" she asked."I was...but there's something I have to tell you. Something that can't wait any longer." Balthazar said.
"Well, ok, come in and tell me what it is." Susannah said and she let him in.
"So, what did you want to say?" Susannah asked."I'm sorry I didn't tel you earlier, but I want to break up with you. When the imprint with Kahlan broke, it broke with you too. I was hoping maybe if I got to know you I wouldn't have to break up with you, but I've decided that it's just not going to work out. I'm sorry." Balthazar told Susannah. But all Susannah saw was Jacob.
Just as Jacob was falling asleep he decided that the next day he would take his motorcycle to take Susannah to school.
"So...you've been lying to me this whole time?" Susannah asked, complete disbelief coloring her tone."If you wanna put it that way...yes." Balthazar said.
"Get out." Susannah whispered. They had walked to her room.
"What?" Balthazar asked since he hadn't heard her.
"I said GET OUT!" Susannah shouted at him, the irises of her eyes turning red and the tips of her hair caught fire.
Balthazar quickly left, and Susannah curled up on her bed in tears as the anger left, her eyes returning to their normal color, and the fire in her hair extinguishing, leaving her hair unharmed, as she cried.
((Yeah))Ms. Summers had heard her daughter crying the day before, and when she asked what had happened, Susannah told her Jacob had broken up with her. That was enough to make Ms. Summers hate Jacob, while Susannah was curled up on her bed, tears quietly leaving her eyes. it was almost time for school, but she had made no move to get ready, and her mom hadn't told her to.
Jacob came by on his bike at the same time he would normally come to walk Susannah to school. He parked the bike on the curb and knocked on the door.
Ms. Summers answered the door with a smile. When she saw who it was, however, her smile left, and her face and eyes turned cold. "What are you doing here?" she asked coldly.
"I came to get Susannah for school," Jacob said. "I take her to school everyday."
"Susannah doesn't feel like going to school today." Ms. Summers said. "But I'm more surprised that you even bothered to show your face here."
"Well can I see her?" Jacob said. "If she's not feeling well I'd like to make sure it's nothing serious."
"I don't think she wants to see you. But, I can never tell with that girl, so fine. But so help me, if you make her cry anymore-" Ms. Summers stopped she was so angry. "Just go up there if you're going." she said. then she left.Susannah was still in her room, and her position hadn't changed.
Jacob walked into Susannah's room quietly, sat down next to her without a word and gently rubbed her back.
Susannah quickly sat up and was on the other side of the room faster than she thought she would have been able to. "What are you doing here?" she asked, her voice guarded, the irises of her eyes turning red, but she was careful to control her anger this time, and nothing caught fire.
"I came to walk you to school like I always do," Jacob said sounding confused. "Are you alright?" He asked taking a cautious step forward.
Susannah took a stepped back, away from him. "What makes you think I even want to see you after what you did?" she asked, tears coming to her eyes, tears she was determined to keep at bay.
"What are you talking about?" Jacob asked taking another step forward.
Susannah stepped back until her back was to the wall. "What do you mean, what am I talking about?! I'm talking about the fact that you broke up with me yesterday! That you haven't loved me for a long time! That you've been lying to me for months!" the tears she had been keeping back escaped now, and she slid down the wall, to the floor, and curled in on herself, crying.
Jacob sat next to Susannah and pulled her onto his lap. He rubbed her back and did all he could to soothe her. "Susannah I don't what you're talking about," he said and gently kissed the top of her head. "I could never do that to you. I love you."
Susannah was shaking her head. "I-I-I saw you, Jacob. Do not say I don't know what I saw! I heard you, and I saw you and if it wasn't you, who else could it have been?" she asked, still crying as she moved away from him and to the other side of the room.
"I swear that I don't know what's going on. But what your saying i did never happened."
"So are you saying I'm lying?" Susannah accused.
"No I'm saying maybe you had a nightmare," Jacob said.
"It wasn't a nightmare!" Susannah said, getting angry. "I wouldn't be able to come up with something like that!"
"Well you must have because what you said never happened," Jacob practically snapped. He wasn't getting mad at Susannah but more with the entire situation.
"Ok." Susannah said, trying not to lose patience with the whole conversation. "It wasn't a dream. I know this. You can choose to believe it or not, but I know what happened, and I know what I saw and heard."
"Susannah I swear to you that I have never lied to you about loving you, about anything," Jacob said just about reaching the point of pleading with her.
"Ok." Susannah said, her eyes searching his, seeing the sincerity. "I believe you."
Jacob sighed. "Thank god," he said. "Susannah I love you very much with every fiber of my being. The word I don't love you could not come from me and be true." {{Sorry I had to do some studying.}}
"But...but then who was it? Who was it that came and told me you didn't love me? Because he looked exactly like you. He was wearing the same clothes, sounded like you, he even smelled like you." Susannah said.
"I don't know," Jacob said, wrapping his arms around Susannah's waist "and at this moment I don't actually care. Later I will be fuming and intent on destroying who ever it was. But now all I care about is you in my arms." He kissed Susannah softly.
Susannah kissed him back a little before she said, "I'm sorry I didn't believe you at first."
"It's alright," Jacob said his arms still around her. He had no intention of letting go anytime soon either.
Susannah laid her head on his chest. "I don't want to go to school." she sighed.
"You don't have to," Jacob told her as he kissed her forehead.
"I won't. But I should." Susannah said.
