"Would you rather I stay or go?" Jacob asked.

"It doesn't matter." Susannah said. "Which ever is less of an inconvenience for you."
"I'll stay then," Jacob said, "if you don't mind."
Susannah smiled at him. "Not at all." she said.
Jacob smiled, wrapped his arms around Susannah, and laid back on the bed pulling her down with him.
Jacob closed his eyes and held Susannah close to him through the night.
Susannah soon fell asleep next to him.
Jacob fell asleep and dreamed about something living off of Susannah's blood.
Susannah dreamed of her father. But he wasn't like she remembered. He had marks on his arms, and was controlling fire.
Jacob started awake when it wasn't just a shadow in his dream but it was him and he told Susannah it was over.
Susannah woke up when he woke up. "What happened?" she asked, slightly sleepily.
"Nothing," Jacob said breathing hevily trying to catch his breath. "Just a nightmare."
"Wanna talk about it?" Susannah asked, now fully awake, looking concerned.
"That thing with the shifters," Jacob said. "One of them turned into me."
"And? What happened?" Susannah asked, her eyes open and comforting.
"It was living off of your blood, and telling you that I've never loved you," Jacob said shaking slightly and he held his head tightly.
Susannah wrapped her arms around him, and kissed his cheek. "It's ok. It was just a dream." she comforted.
As much as he wanted them to Susannah's words didnt help. All he wanted was to: one scream, as loud as he could, and then rip apart whoever it was that had come for Susannah.
Jacob put his head on Susannah's shoulder not letting it out of his hands.
Susannah gently ran her fingers through his hair, trying to soothe him at least a little. She wasn't good at comfort, but she had to try something.
Jacobs shakes gradually slowed to a stop but he didn't move his hands.
Susannah sat next to him, a little worried. She'd never seen him so shaken up and it only made her want to know who was after them. But at the same time she wanted to help Jacob then, but comfort was not a tron point of hers, so she just sat next to him quietly.
"Susannah," Jacob said. "Did I ever tell you that we aren't actually werewolves?"
"When I actually was 16 Edward Cullen said that in order to be a werewolf we had to only shift at night like they do in the movies. We're just shape shifters, the fact that we become wolves is just because that was what we need. What if it really is me? What if I blackout and do things that I don't remember? What if I try to hurt you and don't even know and can't even stop myself?"
Susannah thought about that seriously. It could be true.... "I don't know Jacob. Other than when you were confessed, have you ever blacked out and not know what you were doing before?"
"The only times I've been unaware of my actions I was confessed, and then I usually come to and realize what I'm doing."
"Then it couldn't have been you if you didn't realize what you were doing, and have mo memory of it." Susannah reasoned.
"Maybe," Jacob said flopping back down on his back.
Susannah stayed sitting up, bringing her knees up under her chin. "I don't think it was you." she said.
"I hope it's not," Jacob said. "But I don't know if I can promise anything."
Susannah laid down next to him. "I don't expect you to." she said.
"I'm afraid of the chance it could be me," Jacob said.
"I'm not." Susannah said. "Here's a way to think of it: you wouldn't do something like that. Now, doesn't matter if you're being mind controlled or your confessed, or you have an evil doppelganger. If you don't consciously choose to do something, then you haven't done it, whatever it may be. From breaking up with me to choosing a shampoo."
"Well if it's something that's inside me even stronger than the imprint and I'm just blacking out and not remembering then it would still be me," Jacob argued although what Susannah had said made perfect sense. {{srry I was in the car so no Internet.}}
"It would be your body. Not you. They're two different things. Wolves are generally bloodthirsty animals. When you turn into a wolf, do you become a bloodthirsty animal just because that's the skin you wear, or are you still Jacob?" Susannah said.
"Your right," Jacob said. "And thanks." He kissed her lightly for a moment before closing his eyes and starting to fall asleep again.
Susannah smiled, even if he couldn't see it with his eyes closed. She watched him sleep for a little bit, before falling asleep herself.
Jacob slept through the rest of the night without problem.
Susannah slept fitfully, due to dreams that she would never remember, but she didn't wake.
Jacob woke up the next morning and remembered that he still had his motor cycle outside. "Hey," he said quietly, gently touching Susannah's shoulder. "I have a surprise for you."
Susannah yawned and opened her eyes to look at him. "What is it?" she asked curiously.
"Get ready for school and meet me down stairs," Jacob smiled then climbed down the tree outside of Susannah's window.
Slightly confused, Susannah changed and combed her hair before going downstairs.
Jacob was leaning against the motorcycle waiting for Susannah.
Susannah walked out. She noticed he was leaning on something, and asked what it was.
